One of the most knowledgeable and helpful Ford truck mechanics out there. Your videos are very helpful, accurate, and fun and easy to watch.
Thank you for the your kind words and encouragement. 💪💪
appreciate the help always blown away by the level of patience and mechanic level knowledge to the average guy this would be a serious challenge
Great videos! Diesel Tech Ron would be proud.
I just replaced my original starter with a 6.4 unit on my 04' 6.0 and what a difference !
Huge upgrade! Makes a big difference in these trucks! 👌💪
Killing the educational videos on the SD's sir. You are awesome. Peace
Your videos are awesome! Thanks a bunch for putting this series together
The new diesel Tec Ron
Great video! I just did this on my shorty last weekend. Truck feels so much better with all new front end parts
Another great informative video content! You are so knowledgeable & explain things so well that even this newbie can follow along. You are an younger DieselTechRon (RIP)! That’s the highest compliment I can give.
I look forward to seeing your next video!
Thanks for all the help man!!
Good job man. Can’t wait for the install
Thanks man for your time that was a very in depth video really learned a lot from this thanks again for you time
Thank you! This is my next project!
This video is very well done. Nice work. Keep it up!
Awesome, thanks for this! I am probably going to need to do this to my truck and this really helps so I know exactly what to do. Your videos rock, keep up the good work!
Thanks, the reassembly video will be out soon! Stay tuned!
Always great info
Love the vids bro
Love this channel man, when your super famous don’t forget about us👍🏼
The best F350 videos available. Bar none. I have a question, 2001 F350 4wd. There are no bolts or screws on my locking hubs. I'm pretty sure there is a snap ring inside, but how do I get to it?
Clean and professional.
🤘🤘💪💪
Just subscribed… great video!!!! Just did my front end on my 05 power stroke with 415000kms on it…. Hoping for it to last a few more years till I can afford a newer one
Good information. A lot of BFHammer work for sure.
I cringed though with the wire wheel useage and the lack of glasses. I always get smacked by broken debris it seems.
Subscribed because of the good delivery of the videos.
Hit me up with the link for your exhaust
Boy this looks so easy then i remember i live in rusty old NE and when i go to do it i will be fighting with it for days xD love the vids, just bought myself my first 2004 6.0 and cant wait to learn more about the maintenance and upgrades for it!
I feel your pain, being in Michigan I’ve struggled with some trucks. This one wasn’t to bad which helps me get through the video portion. Otherwise all you would have seen is a wild man going crazy with hammer for 20 min lol stay tuned more coming very soon!
Nathan, where at in NE, I know your pain, I am doing this on my 04 in 2 weeks.
@@z-bones3836 LOL, NH us New Englanders love our salt xD GL!
@@Canhead56 yeah that we do, I'm down in Central Mass, they salt so much
like a surgeon
What up left lane.
My truck is getting some parts from kill devil diesel. Thanks for letting us know about them. It was in one of your vids a while back.
Absolutely they are top notch! Can’t wait to work with them on an engine build for the race truck! 💪💪
I'm surprised you didn't put in those caster shims that came with leveling kit. You were already there doing the ball joints
They had sent me 2wd shims. So I was still waiting for the correct ones to show up
Where did you get those brake caliper hangers?
Link to the prt two? Cant find the one where you put it all back
Nice shop
Much better than the home barn lol🤘🤘
Milwaukee only the finest
Are those dust seals reusable? I had a guy totally rebuild the whole front end of my 6.0 (ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link, track bar, etc…) now it has bad memory steer. He blames the ball joints, but I don’t think he followed proper procedure reassembling it. I want to pull it back apart down to, but not including the ball joints, and reassemble it following proper procedure. I just don’t know what parts I will have to replace, if any doing this. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!
You should do a video on replacing the front cover gasket/front main seal. would you remove the front end and turbo and Intake to get to it, or just the fan and radiator and work around it all? Mine is leaking and I need to do it
Definitely would just remove fan and shroud. Radiator shouldn’t be necessary but would give way to more room. However I always pull the intake manifold when replacing the front cover as it can push down on the new front cover and not allow you to line it up properly. Which can create issue when reinstalling the lpop gears.
@@LeftLaneDiesels alright thanks for the info! Love the videos man! Keep em coming!
What mileage do you recommend doing these at. Or is there a check I can do. I’ve got 123k on my 2005 front end.
Also,
What is the brand of those wheels. And size of them along with tires size.
ua-cam.com/video/nL49fHFzqlM/v-deo.html
Check out this video I did. It goes over checking out the front end of your truck!
The wheels are made by LRG, they are 20x12 wrapped in 35x12.5
Which milwaukee gun do you use I’ve been torn between buying the mid torque or high torque !
1/2 gun is M18, can’t beat it, works great
Are those snap on sockets you used for the ball joints and if so what are their part numbers
Yes both snap on sockets. I don’t have the part number but I did mention the correct size you would need, in case you wanted to reach out to a local snap on dealer or just purchase from a place that has socket sets. The two sockets I used were sold as a set and were 2 of about 8 sockets.
Thank you and when will we here about the race truck im excited to watch you build the engine if you choose to do that
@@josephjarosek3825 definitely building the engine for the race truck! I’m super pumped too! Currently saving funds, also any purchase on my website goes towards getting the race truck back together 🤘🤘💪💪
When are we gonna see the king ranch again
King ranch is sold!
When you go back together can you give part numbers.
Yes sir! Video will be out soon!
Great info. Also still waiting on the list lol.
I’m still looking for a whole front end rebuild
Come do my truck LOL
is it possible to update the 03 hubs to a newer style like these?
I’m sure there is, any particular reason why you would want to do this?
Not really they just look better lol, also mine is vacuum hubs for auto locking is this style the same?
@@neo1231 Yea I’m not sure what it would take to do. Not sure if the knuckle is different or not. I do know in some cases the wheel lugs are a different thread then the early trucks. But yes same design with vacuum actuated auto hubs. This truck is an xl package truck so it didn’t have the feature but most trucks do.
@@LeftLaneDiesels yeah I figured out the thread difference the hard way and instead of saving money I had to buy nuts haha
doing this on my 03 6.0 was a b*tch lol
