I love Roy's delivery style. No note is ever rushed out of his mouth. He lovingly places each note in his throat before slowly releasing it for our ears. It's like he loves a song so much, he wants to hold onto it for as long as possible!

Oh Wow! What an incredible way to describe this amazing, one of a kind, talent! The ability to mold the words, the emotions and such a unique voice into something that grabs hold of you at your very core and won't let go, is what made Roy Orbison the great talent that he was. He left this life much too soon, but he also left some of the finest examples of his craft that the World will ever know.

I remember being at the Eagle's Long Run tour in 1980 at the Forum in L.A. and seeing Roy Orbison OPENING for them! I had front row seats and was not expecting much from R.O., really just waiting for the Eagles. BUT to my surprise, his concert set SMOKED the Eagles. After hearing R.O.'s music, I remember telling my friend that I could go home and not even see the Eagles since R.O.'s opening concert act was the MOST INCREDIBLE SHOW EVER... even to this day. In fact, the Eagles should have opened for R.O. but it was great to know the Eagles brought R.O. out back into the music world when they were at their peak.

Sheet man, my kids are young, (not so much anymore) they love these guys. If youngsters don't like this music, it's because they haven't been shown this music.. my oldest boy. now 36yrs.old, once asked me who this was playing on my radio. I told him I used to sing this song to him when I put him to bed as a kid. He knew the song, now he knows the artist, Mr.Neil Young. Teach your children, if you want them to appreciate music. It's a history lesson.

Look at the way that Roy very undemonstratively plays his harmonica intro then starts singing his song while still holding his diatonic in his plectrum playing hand while that pompous git Costello has to show off playing his harmonica riffs....and then Roy plays his solo ....and allows Costello to show off again....Roy's the musician ...Costello's the pillock !

WOW Mark what a lucky man. I just remember listening to him on the transistor radio very young. But I was a strange kid.. Loved all music. So much talent and I think that K.D.Lang said it best on the Black and White Night. He wrote Epic Stories..I think she said something like that. I have the Black and White and love love love it. AMAZING
