I don't always listen to Roy Orbison, but when I do my neighbors do too.
EDIT: I think this is my most popular comment ever, thanks for the love folks! I'd love to claim it as my own originality but I borrowed it from elsewhere! Just crank up that Orbison to 11 folks, your neighbors will appreciate it one way or another!

OOBY DOOBY by James Burton accompanied by RO on vocals, Ron Tutt nails the drums - not ever overpowering just perfect.

Great version of this song. I think the drummer should get a mention too. He sure can play. It is Ron Tutt who plays in Neil Diamond's backing band.

Would have been nice if someone had turned up Waits' keyboards in the mix and left them up for his little solo/organ slapping. It was the funniest part of the night.

Tutt does his part perfect keeps the beat,
sets the tempo and never bangs the drums. The absolute best drummer I have ever heard.

Jerry Garcia was asked how Elvis’ death affected him. He said well we got to keep Ronnie with us on tour longer this time.

This has always been my second favorite Roy Orbison song, second only to Dream Baby.

We seem to have comparable taste. I´d say Dream Baby is the best recording, and second Ooby Dooby, but the studio recording should have had a better backing. The solos on the original are good but almost the same on again.
