Not hold the bottle by the neck when pouring. Seen that in many films. Excellent video thank you. Merry Christmas everyone. From England. 🇸🇪 🎅 🥳 🍾🥂🎄 🏴
Right video for me, doing hospitality, and my final exams are here, guess my demonstration notes, serving red wine vintage for 2 seated guests ❤❤,am happy this has really helped me alot, thanks!
I'm an hospitality pro, with 24 years Serving and Supervising and I must commend you on your knowledge about wine service. I was taught in hospitality school that you must present the cork to the host, for inspecting example sniffing etc. Some corks show signs of crack or breakage and at that point you can tell that the wine is bad.💯
Thank you! When I moved to another country to work I dident know anyone so I just went to all the restaurants and asked for work until I got employed. I hade ofcourse all the legal papers I needed to stay and work in the country
The person who booked the table. They would normally go up to you and say ”we’ve booked a table for x amount of people” Or it’s the person who does the talking when dropping in. ”We would like a table for x amount of people”
This video is good for waiters and people looking for occasional beautiful date nights I actually dont like this type of fancy dining for commercial reasons and overpriced wines at restaurants which are cheaper at local seller
The reason for the nipkin is because once you poure the wine for the geust,as you are brini the bottle up ,you are meant to use the napkin to cleanr the mouth of the bottle so the drop of the wine from the bottle dosent spill or drop on the table But i see you just brin the bottle up before clearning the bottle mouth
You make a great point! Here I show a half casual way. There are many ways of doing this and every restaurant or hotel will ask their servers to adapt to their specific requirements.
Never put the cork in your pocket. Give it to the person who ordered the wine to smell it. (And the waiter need to smell it too)Is it corky you have to take a new bottle

Here is the question u open the wine n put the cork in ur pocket so do u leave the wine open in the table?
The wine stays open on the table.
The guests will drink it the same night so no need to cover it
I was taught never to put the wine bottle on the table while opening.Nice touch with the napkin either way.
Yes. Certain restaurants want it that way and others leave the bottle on the table.
Some guests prefer to pour the wine so being flexible is key.
Great video🎉But did you pour maksimum 1,2.?
Thank you!
Could you possibly re-phrase the question?
I believe they meant half a glass of 🍷is maximum amount
I'm new, how do you determine who the host is if there are other people?
The person who booked the table.
They would normally go up to you and say ”we’ve booked a table for x amount of people”
Or it’s the person who does the talking when dropping in. ”We would like a table for x amount of people”
Is decanter the same as carafe?
They are similar. A decanter has more elaborate designs.
The bucket of ice and the bottle have to stay on the table?
The icebucket should be on a stance next to the table if possible. In some restaurants the icebucket could be on the table. Check with your manager
❤❤❤

How we find the real host in a big group supposed host friends were ordered then?
It’s just best to ask if you dont know.
”May I ask who speaks for the group?”
I came to see if I did mine well. Thank goodness I mistakenly got it right 😂
You’re what we call a ”Natural”
Keep rockin brother!

Yes that is a way to do it.
Thank you for commenting!
A tiny plate for the foil and the cork is better looking in an upper class restaurant
Good feed back, thank you!
