Several years back SMTV visited Richard Paterson in his Whyte & Mackay hideaway in Glasgow. In part 1 of this 2 part segment we start to get a glimpse inside the mind of one of the whisky industry's leading Master Blenders.
This man has thrown more whiskey on the floor than I have drank in 50 years....
This guy is unapologetically insane and it’s fantastic
Sir Richard Paterson, Professor of Drunkology and Wifestealogy.
His floor is probably worth more than my car
I think I'm going to start following Mr. Paterson around with a bucket...
Absolute legend makes it all look like satire but he’s deadly serious, real whiskey is an extravagance & should be treated as such.
This guy looks like he's banned in a few medium-sized European countries.
2 minutes in and you can tell this guy is the life of the party 💪
I can't get enough of this guy
Talking to your alcoholism like:
I bet he's good at fighting with a broken whisky bottle too.
when I threw it on the floor my wife smacked me, what did I do wrong?
Why do I feel like this could've been a scene from The Office ?......even the way it's shot is very similar...XD
Love how this guy is talking about whisky. So elevate and in the same time so down to earth. A great blend of amusement and seriousness. Just like a 12 years old scotch.
Like every Scotsman I’ve ever met. Friendly yet menacing in equal parts.
My grandfather drank a bottle of whisky every day and he died peacefully in his bed, what age was he?....23 !
I don't care what this man says, I'm not throwing my whiskey on the floor.
Richard is a great showmen, very enjoyable to watch and a great speaker. I particularly enjoyed his visit to The Airdrie Burns Club many years ago.
After seeing multiple different videos of this guy, I still can't tell if he's trying to sell me his whisky or his patented step-by-step process of tasting. I only say patented because he is literally the only one who does it this way.
Damn this dude is slippery smooth at putting on the moves
