- Wow! I can't believe it took me this long to get into a hot hatch, and this might just be the hottest of them all. Tough to find when they first came out, they've finally become more available. Had to double check my budget, but when all the numbers didn't immediately yell at me I jumped at the opportunity to get a fantastically spry and practical daily driver. It's got the best of all worlds, and I plan on keeping this thing for a long, long time.

one thing i can't stand (on almost every modern car) is that I can tell by you sitting in the passenger seat that the dash is literally up to your EYEBALLS... you can't see and enjoy any of the speed sensation of the ground rushing beneath you out of the front window. this is something modern cars have lost which is why older cars are becoming valuable. In a 1990s Celica GT four you can see above the dash and can actually feel the speed. In an MR2 you are literally sitting in front row seats on the roller coaster with a lack of a long hood you can see straight down to the action right in front of you. This sensation is irreplaceable. I wish the buraucracy of modern cars didn't get in the way. Only one ICE company I know are building cars like they were in the 90s, and that's Subaru (except the BRZ/86 which is also too many blind spots).
I have a white circuit edition on the way! Should have it in a few weeks. Super excited. Ive never even seen one in person lol

Sorry to hear that! Love a good MK1 TT. This won’t give you the 2 door convertible vibe, but it has everything else dialed in.
So if the blue only comes with the circuit edition, what edition is this model? I was looking it up a bit but didn’t quite understand everything. I saw cores and premiums I think? Not sure if I missed any others.
Can’t believe we didn’t mention it, but it’s a premium haha. Basically it gets the interior from the circuit and all the options that you could get on a core.

Do you get a weird vibration at like 2000 rpm while accelerating? Is it normal?
Yeah I do, especially from the area where the dome lights are. But I think that’s just because the engine’s hitting the natural frequency of that area, probably nothing to worry about.
I'm just wondering if I can daily this in NYC.
I’m dailying it in the North East actually. Even with the garbage roads it’s still totally drivable
I daily mine on Long Island. Just have to pay attention. Comes with the territory unfortunately. I’ve had many performance cars with low profile, which the GR really does have too much, and have only a few blown tires and one rim damaged. It’s a great ride. Good luck
I have the same heavy metal premium and the shifting sucks lol my old Miata feels way better at shifting gears
