+Cliff Amey This 883 is actually my friends bike....I did the install for him. Since then hes changed it to an S&S 1250 with new heads. It will run circles around a 103.
Sounds awesome,I have the 2017 48 sportster 1200 cc and just ordered new short shots and screaming eagle heavy breather , I own a fat boy as well but sportsters are so much fun to ride and even with the stock pipes it sets the alarm off on my car if I start it in front of it 😎
Did you do anything specific to get such a badass tone? People on youtube use most of the same equipment you used (fuelpak/short shots) but it doesn't sound as cool. Does the air filter effect tone? Camera quality maybe?
Can you show, or tell me exactly you plugged in the FP3? I have same bike and want to make sure i plug it in the right area, also did you leave it installed or detached it right after you flashed a map?
Josef Rosas Remove the rear left panel. It just pops out. The ECM diagnostic port is there. Just plug in the FP3. We left it installed so that you can bluetooth to it and gather any info at any time. As far as how to mount it, you can use either zip ties or velcro. Nothing to it.
If you just do the exhaust you should be fine. You will want to remap in the future because your bike will run and feel much better. Even a stock bike can use a better map.
+Cam Cam tuning a. bike is really easy. just go to the manufacturers website and download a map for your bike with the proper mods then just load the map on your fuelpak or power commander
+Keltingr Typically you might see someone doing something like this when you have a suspected cracked intake manifold on an engine, you put the gas around the manifold and if it is cracked the gas will be sucked in and you will here a change in engine noise and hence see where the suspect crack is. But not sure why you would want to spray explosive gas at an exhaust system to check for leaks as if there is a leak there is a chance that shit will blow up right in your face ha ha. You can typically hear exhaust leaks because it will sound awful, or you could use a temp gun to check for leaks. That's my guess as to what he is doing though.
people can talk shit bout sportsters all they want but they are a great bike

Not sure. It was my friends bike. I just installed everything. But id say about $120 for AC, $300 for FP3, and $450 for the exhaust plus tax.
eskreema Thank you. Sounds so cool.
just curious, what were you doing with the blue canister?
I believe that's butane
+A TG propane

Thanka brother!
Hey man, do you know if it's necessary to remap if I only want to replace the stocks with V&H for now?

Hell yea
is there ny issues for keeping tis exhaust fr the engines..?
Coisa linda de se ver.
did you put the exhaust and air cleaner on without having it re mapped?
+Cam Cam It has a FuelPak FP3 so it was remapped with a V&H map.
did you do it yourself? i wanted to get the air cleaner and pipes but ive never ventured into the tuning parts of bikes
