OMG! stock exhausts absolutley drags the bike. I didn't realize how bad ass my 883 truly is until I installed a hi flow cleaner and the Vance and Hines Short Shots. No baffles. No words to describe the increase in HP and torque. And the sound is so fucking awesome. Now my 883 truly runs like an 883. Great bike, awesome stage one and worth every penny. Self install was with little struggle and the VH Flex pak FP3 made retunes effortless.
Hi Barry, My daughter is the only one that rides with me on occasion and she seems pretty comfortable. I went with this setup so I could alternate from single seat to the pillion without changing much. Hope this answered your question, and thanks for the view!
+Johnnie Smith as an owner of an 883, in my opinion, it would fit two smaller people, but the bike just isn't built for two. I did purchase a dual seat so I can give the kids rides. still gotta buy pegs. the wife won't go near my bike...haha. she'll come around I hope.
Your bike looks so good with those mods! I recently picked up a black and orange 2014 Iron and am hoping to do some intake and exhaust mods soon. That is exactly the exhaust sound I'm looking for and it looks sick, thanks for uploading this!
Semper Fi marine, one quick question after installing the heavy breather and short shots did you have to tune your bike at all or did you just plug and play?
Hi John, I currently have the Badlander seat fitted to my iron but the wife finds the pillion part quite uncomfortable, thinking of refitting the standard solo seat and adding thr the passenger pillion like yours, could you please let me know how comfortable your passengers have been on this seat is it worth the 100 bucks or so, Best regards Barry.
I just picked up the 2015 Iron 883 at the end of 2014. I am looking at the Vance & Hines short shots as well. Did you have to take the bike in and have the bike's computer reprogrammed to account for the different exhaust pipes?
Carl McPherson After installing the mods I just had the H-D shop do a stage I download to the onboard computer to compensate for the changes made. I think something like a power commander would be better though.
