I took off my stop pipes and put on some vance and Hines slip on's. hear the differnce in sound stock vs. Vance and Hines.

I was looking into get the V&H Short Shots, but after much research. I would need to do a full stage 1 upgrade. Air cleaner, full exhaust and a tuner which would essentially cost me over 1200. Therefore, by doing just the slip on exhaust, you don't need a tuner or upgraded air cleaner. The slip ons are perfect. I love the crackling and popping in 2nd and 3rd gear. Very easy to install if you are handy and you have a socket set. Just be very careful in not scratching the black finish. V&H is almost identical to HD matte black. I'm a new rider and didn't think it was necessary to do all upgrading that for little more power. The stock power is enough for cruising. If anyone wants more power, just upgrade to 1200cc. I did upgrade the headlight, turn signals and rear brake lights to Rouge Rider Industries LED. MAJOR KEY!!!
I just picked up my 2022 iron 883 a week ago and the stock sound sucks, glad you had this video because I just bought the Vance and Hines with the hopes it would sound way better and after this video I know now it is going to be perfect!! Thanks for the video

Just got a 2019 Iron 883 too and I agree with all your reasons to choose these slip-ons. Affordability, easier to install and the right amount of noise that captures the classic HD sound of a sportster. Thanks for posting this video, it made my decision way easier. Ride safe.
I bought my 2018 883 with Vance and Hines slip-ons already installed. It makes the bike sound bigger than it really is.

Anthony Alvarran honestly they are extremely loud but if u want a bit more of torque then u can go for a full system.
Just make sure u tune your bike after

I put a Vance and Hines slip on’’ the naked air filter and the FP3 tune on and it’s a new bike at least 10-15 more HP

They do sell a speedometer with a fuel gauge and a sensor kit for it

Ehh. Really not needed. Using the tripometer, I know when I have gas and how far I've gone. And the low fuel light is very generous, comes on pretty early.
But either way an upgraded tac would be cool!

Consider peeling the label off the air filter cover, use a hair dryer to heat it up. It’ll look better.
Yep did mine hair dryer and some duck tape to take off extra adhesive came off clean.
i owned the v&h short shorts. not allowed in Germany . i loved the sound, but they were to loud.... for my neighbours 😑
My 1994 883 Sporster with a full python@ exhaust system sound just like yours. I was always stoked about how great it sounded at idle or under acceleration. I'm curious how much they dinged you to install your mufflers. Good video, bro.

@@jody8983 I had them shipped to my friend's place in NJ first and then he shipped it to me.I do not have a problem with the installation. Its just getting the product in CA. Stupid ass CA rules!

Whenever i look up these pipes amazon says that they wont fit an iron 883 which makes no sense? any guidance or does it have to be a dealership?
I got them from the dealership try and looking up the company online though they might have a customer service number. Vance and Hines
