I remember in 2012 when they first played in Australia for Soundwave festival, In Adelaide they had a signing tent I didn't know about. I was inconspicuously walking passed, dressed in my Chris Fehn #3 jumpsuit and mask, when I noticed in excitement and eagerness to come face to face (sort of) with my favorite band. Possessed, I ran toward them (there was no line) I jumped and screamed with love and admiration, reaching over the signing table and hugging and laughing with them as I got to my hands and knees and bowed in a tongue in cheek manner. They equally met my energy and laughed and smiled as I shook their hands and hugged them telling them how appreciative I am of their music. 9 years later I can safely say that nothing has changed.
Gojira, something truly profound and meaningful about your music impacts me whenever I listen to it. Thank you for existing in my lifetime, thank you for your hard work and creativity. Much Love always
Wow your comment is very real and heartfelt. Lovely. I discovered them just some months ago and I'm starting feeling so fond of their music that I'm scared. Ahaha
All I can say is " well said my friend"
Hail Mighty Gojira!
Almost 9 nine years later and still one the most greatest performances ever. You can feel the energy
Man I feel bad for whatever band that had to play after this.
LMAO
hahaha!
Kai Peters Two great bands! Been a die hard Trivium fan for years but only listened to Gojira for a month or so now but they are becoming a favorite very fast.
You've somehow managed to capture Lars's exact thoughts, except add "oh wait, that's us"
Sameeeee 😂😂😂😂😂 they kill it every time!!!
they should of done all the music for next years "Godzilla"
Thumbs up for that comment and for Devy.
They're being sued by the owners of "Godzilla" for using their name.
PsychoSteeIIord
No, they aren't.
No you're right. The lawsuit isn't on yet. Toho is pressuring the band to change the name, just as they did when they were called "Godzilla". But it's one thing you can be guaranteed of is Toho will sue if their demands aren't met.
PsychoSteeIIord Toho should be sued for letting America ruin Godzilla....twice.
This and Ocean Planet make me feel so happy, I can't help but smiling when listening to them
That whole album 🙏
It's 2023...and I still believe this is the heaviest metal performance heavy metal has ever heavy metaled...
I would put plantera domination live at the same level
I love Gojira, they're one of my top 10 bands. But Primitive Man is one of the heaviest bands on Earth and their live shows are mind melting.
That is a massive pit.
Truly one of the best live performances ever.
Joe’s vocals are nuts
Thank you Gojira for helping me cope with loneliness. Whenever I feel sad and empty I bike around the forest and listen to your albums - I instantly feel better. Can't wait to see you this winter in Holland
At least you have forest near by. Try running through it barefoot
Mario stands after this. How? No reason he has just a reflex driven by clockwork.
I see what you did there ^^
I have utter respect for this band.
FUCKING MARIO IS SUCH A DAMN BEAST DURING THIS SHOW!
This is perfection. Every Gojira Song has a point where i honestly think we dont deserve them. I am thankful every day that we can take mind journeys by them.
Markus Covi UA-cam Thuleanperspective
Lol, I love the bassist's impression onstage xd
That very day Rock music bent his knee on front of new masters... Am I the only one watching this frenetically and liking every comment ? I don’t think so. Thank you so much for this Gojira, I listen to Rock and Metal music for 30 years and nothing can compare to this. You really opened a gate to (our personal) Hell that evening , and that’s what Rock is all about. Thanks for summoning these monsters we are.
Fuck Yes! Summoning Monsters! The words I was looking for when trying to describe wtf just happened!
This performance is up there with Pantera Domination live
UA-cam is getting real brave putting ads in the middle of every video lately
5:20 I JUST GOT A FUCKING BONNER FROM THIS PART
+Michael Barros lmfao what is a bonner
+Kirisute Gomen An erection
I believe that's a boner you're referencing. Still wondering about that bonner though
5:14 I SAW I SAW IT THE CLOWN!!!
A deep voice is rising
From the heart of the mountain
Vibrations of the stone
I can hear in my heart
The call of instinct
The flight of the powerful
I hunger for it
It just keeps me alive
I met the dragon
In a cave by the mountain
Now I bring the evidence
The beast is alive
This ageless army
Will strike in the morning
And then a star will rise
And shine in the sky
But I grow impatient
Cannot stand the wait
And I start to dig
Within me
This tunnel to I
In this region of me
A great dragon is lying
On the wealth of a mighty world
My own world inside
I saw
I saw monsters
And I
And I started to dig within
When I
When I turn my back on them
They devour me
In this region of me
A dragon is lying there
Awake
Monster
Monsters kings
Do not scorn them
But do not fear them
Muster
Muster thy army
Dragons are the myth alive
In the heart of men
This shit gotta be game of thrones inspired 😂
@@paulfernandez8190 dude, if you think this is GOT you’ve completely missed the intent of this song
@@timg7627 literally went way over his head lol Joe not talking about a litteral dragon its an image lol
So intense i even shivered!!! 5:09
dragons sure dwell there
5:15 Just when i thought it could be no better, a jolly Ronald McDonald crosses the pit! Awesome performance!
I would do so many unholy things to witness this song live in person
That riff at the end of the song I could hear for my entire life and never get bored of it .
Holy bass drum!!
And baddest guitar riff ever.
He's wacking the shit out of both of them for like 4 minutes.
dude even my metal drummer roommate is gawking at this dude's persistence. talk about skills...
