I had my second knee meniscus repair operation and was both depressed and in pain. This was my go to nightly for around 3 months even though I don't do any yoga. I love lana's voice, the kindness that come through and the safe poses. I still do this regularly before I sleep! Thank for the guidance and for sharing this wonderful and gentle practice!
I broke my kneecap 3 months ago and this has helped me heal better and faster than the workouts I was given at physical therapy. Thanks for uploading! It’s done wonders for me 💕
Wow! I am SO happy to hear that! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and testimony. I am so glad that you found this helpful! I hope you have a swift recovery and feel much better overall! Sending healing energy your way!
This is such a nice workout. Great pace. Just the right length for the middle of the day. Gentle, but with space to sink deeper into the positions. I've been using this on days between Pilates and a couple of more intense yoga classes and it is the perfect addition. Thank you.
Getting in with a doctor in the UK at the moment is difficult to say the least and I have been really struggling with a lot of knee pain seemingly out of nowhere recently and it’s hit me like a truck so I am so so so glad to find one of your classes to help. I will check back in when I’ve tried it a few times but I know from trying your back/shoulder pain classes it will work wonders. So thank you in advance!
I've been having knee pain for months now and I finally decided to do something about it. This Video helped me a lot. I have knee pain almost 24/7 and once I had finished these exercises it was gone. Thank you very much, Yana!
Really great video, nice to follow along to. Taken up some new physical hobbies after years of not doing much and gave myself killer knee pain from it, things like this make me realise how weak and inflexible my legs really are.
My knee has been super swollen on and off for months. Doing this practice and when I did the legs up the wall pose at the end I don't know why but the floodgates opened and I just started bawling. I'm not sure what emotion I've been holding there but it was apparently a much needed release. Thank you.
wow, thank you so much for sharing this Stacey! I am so glad you found this helpful! Thank you for your support and it's a pleasure to have you here with us! ❤
I have been experiencing a lot of pain and stiffness post ACL surgery and this was a perfect quick routine to help stretch both legs. Didn’t realize how much tension I was carrying in my good leg too. Thank you for this Yana!
Yesterday I did this for the first time and today my knees and hips felt better than they have in more than a year!!!! I did it again tonight that's for sure.
had surgery for a serious meniscus tears two months ago and was able to do this with the help of an arch cushion that fits the back of the knee like a glove the stretches were great
Thank you for the practice! I've had a lingering knee injury for a year and a half now and want to integrate something like this into my daily routine. I have one question, the movement at 10:33 causes me pain and clicking in my right knee. Should I avoid this pose or can I modify it? Or is it helping even if it hurts slightly when I do it? Any advice would be super helpful, thank you
I would not recommend this for anyone who has actual knee pain. If you just feel a little stiff, sure, but just the first two exercises are enough to really exacerbate any pain or injury you might have. Definitely skip this if you’re in actual pain or have actual knee problems.
Just fyi a lot of people with knees issues can't bend their knees well, so when you name your video "yoga for knees pain ", and they see you sitting in a very first pose, I guarantee a lot of them keep scrolling looking for different video.
Even in attempting bridge pose, my right knee (the sore one) cannot bend enough to get the heel close to hip, so that also felt like a fail to me. Figure 4 stretch is also difficult to achieve due to the knee bend required.
Glad that you enjoyed this class! The best way I can explain this is when the heel is actively pushing away from the body, while the top of the foot pulls up and into the body. In other words, the opposite of pointing your toes (keeping the toes pointing up in line with your heels).
Thank you!
HONEY I WAS DYING FROM KNEE PAIN BEFORE THIS AND NOW I CAN FINALLY SLEEP. THANK YOUUUU❤❤❤

Wonderful video. Thank you. I ran into some knee pain in bridge pose. How would you adjust the pose to help with that?

Not a lot of people value releasing tension after a pose. The gentle rock from side to side after the bridge pose feels heavenly!
❤

Is this good for Arthritis in the knee?
👍👍👍❤❤❤

Would be good to have someone who really knows knee pain make a useful video.
Thanks. Got ride of,y pin. Very relaxing.
Love it! Just what the heck does flexing your foot mean??

What if you can't put the soles of your feet together?
Not sure that janu sirshasana is a good posture with the knee pain 😕
