@@donivanzete No, copyright can't prevent people from saying something, you can say Microsoft or Amazon or whatever however much you want, besides there are people named Alexa, copyright doesn't work the way you think. What he did was definitely a courtesy, although a pretty common one I'd say most people should have learned by now, so I don't get why we're applauding people for taking off their shoes before entering the living room.

I think the point is to have a main alarm by your bed, and the downstairs alarm set for a few minutes later so the 'game' or strategy is to turn off the downstairs alarm before it goes off. Especially motivating is if you have roommates that you don't want to wake up

I have built an explosive device attached to my alarm clock which will detonate if I hit snooze, I have 17 seconds to de-arm the explosive device, before it vaporizes me and my dog. I have found this an optimal solution to my morning routine and have found myself strangely motivated first thing in the morning since implementing this technique. Great video.

These examples really help to build my own routin 👍
So if I were to sum it up:
    1. Have a second alarm (5 minutes after the first) as far away as possible from your bedroom.
    2. A few strength reps (pull-ups for example)
    3. 10-15 minutes casual walk while listening to an audiobook or a podcast
    4. Catching up with you schedule for the day
    5. Breakfast
    6. Learning (books/articles/apps)
    7. Shower
    8. Start working
Side note: workout moved to the afternoon to get rid of the afternoon brain fog.

Love this: I'm all about tweaking my morning routine. What you may think about is building your own home gym. I found it takes too much time and gas to go out of your way to head to the gym. I have a "fit desk" (you can find on Amazon) where I get on every morning I'm home to do computer work for an hour. I can drink coffee, munch on my homemade energy balls, do computer work on there while all the while waking my body up, cycling. After an hour or so, I head to my home gym where I have a treadmill, rower, cycle, etc. I can workout, get it done and just walk over to my kitchen to make myself an organic breakfast. I think our daily American lives consists of constantly driving, wasting time. Plus I find at the gym you tend to talk to other people, socialize, etc. When I'm at home there are no distractions really. I'm all about productivity and figuring out to do things in less time or cutting out wasted time. Heck, when I'm at home working out, my laundry is going on and my Roomba is cleaning my kitchen as well. I'm always trying to incorporate doing things simultaneously with less work. Thank you for your ongoing motivation as well!

    • @daniel4647

Honestly, I think if people are having a problem getting out of bed there is a much deeper problem that needs to be addressed. I always wake up before the alarm and never have any problem getting out of bed, when I wake up getting out of bed is just what I want to do. I used to have the problem when I was in high-school, but I think that was because I hated high-school. So I think that having a problem with getting out of bed is related to not enjoying what comes after waking up. I guess that would make sense for people who constantly feel they have improve to reach some perceived goal of perfection just out of reach. And since I'm already perfect I don't have to deal with that.

Best morning routine. Extensive, but works miracles when I have the time. When I got something in the morning I cut down the time on each activity, but try to get through everything.
07:00 - Wakeup, lemonwater, boil tea, light candle/woodstove.
07:10- 08:00. Read literature in the sofa for two pomodoros.
    - at the 25m break I´ll make grind and make coffee, and continue reading for 25 more minutes.
    - i also do a small set of pushups, air squats and crunches.
08:00 - 08:30 - Shower, wet shave, groom while listening to audio book.
08:30-08:40 - Continue w/audio book while improvizing with 10 minutes of yoga/stretching. (plan on increasing time gradually).
08:40-09:00 - Meditate (Headspace). Started doing 2 minutes of yoga, and 3 minutes of meditating, and increased incrementally every 10 days.
09:00-09:30 - For one pomodoro write journal / todo and start doing one thing that I´ve need to get done besides studying (paying bills, calling someone, emails etc).
09:30 - Bullet proof coffee and on to my day (usually studying for 2-4 hours).

Same man, sometimes (really not often), an ever so slight noise jolts me up, my estimated 100+ decibel alarm however (one nasty, cruel sound that lasts a full minute) is like a lullaby to my asleep brain, it seems. Sometimes I MAY wake up to shut it off completely and then sleep in - WITHOUT REMEMBERING ANY OF IT!

      @@SuperTank121212 , maybe use a different sound.
your brain might have conditioned itself to shut out that particular alarm.

@@livethefuture2492 Very good point, I shall try that. I already am rotating at times, though I have all 20 default alarms memorized by heart. I'm gonna go full RETRO and set "Swimming" from my old Nokia as alarm, never failed to make me jump right out of bed back in the day 😸

I used to be like that as well. I had to install an extreme alarm that had nuclear alarm sounds and stuff to wake up and I dreaded it. Then I started to use Sleep by Android app (which monitors your sleep all night and detects when its the best time to wake you up within a time interval) and now I wake up with an alarm so soft that you could go to sleep with it. Its a soft piano music with a river and birds chirping lmao.
But yeah, I set the alarm at 6am and it will wake you up between 5:30-6am depending on when you are in your lightest sleep. You can also limit or remove the snooze buttons and also force yourself to get up by needing to deactivate the alarm with a bar code/qr code scan, I think it also has puzzles if you like those. It also links to those sunrise simulation alarms too.
Sorry for the long ad, this app really changed my life 😂
