I had debilitating panic attacks for a year that cycled though daily and nightly that even began to trigger phobias. One night I was just searching for remedies (as I did in all of my free time) and came upon an article on 'sugar and panic'. It explained how when blood sugars were low the body would secrete adrenaline to trigger the body to create sugar from stored protein. I cut out sugar and simple carbs and within three days my chronic panic attacks were gone....
If you ever notice panic attacks cycling with your meals or snacks then try going on a paleo diet with low intake of simple carbs. It can't hurt.

newguitarist29 did your panic attacks go away completely?

    • @newguitarist29
      @newguitarist29 7 років тому +19

They did. I had anxiety or rather tight muscles in my neck for a few weeks but the panic attacks were gone. I did also switch to more of paleo type diet. But amazingly I had a rebound after going vegan for a bit but after going back to paleo they went away. I am not trying to sell paleo, I think pretty much any balanced diet would work. I just used paleo myself.
Also my fear of flying went away as did my fear of dentists and malls.

newguitarist29 that's awesome! I'm going to start cutting back on sugar intake. Thanks for responding.

Marco Rodriguez - Good luck! I am pretty sure I had hypoglycemia or hyper, can't remember exactly. Also try that magnesium calm drink and make sure you get all the B vits. I know it can be hard. I had doctors telling me it was all in my head and if I had listened to them I don't know where I would be today. Also note that I didn't do medication so I don't know if that might help.

I love using essential oils for all kinds of natural remedies:) I clean my kitchen counters with oils in my spray bottle & diffuse them. This video would’ve been helpful last year when I was having some anxiety/panic...I cut out gluten & sugar completely and within a couple days was feeling amazing. I then went off that eating plan after 4 months...then was eating SAD diet again for 6 months and was feeling like garbage again. So in January I pushed reset on no gluten & sugar and for REAL I feel great!!!! My gym workouts are getting stronger, I don’t feel so tense and anxious and So many other things are better. I just did a video about Anxiety on my channel too, Steps to take to cope with anxiety naturally. There is hope for anyone suffering with anxiety/panic attacks👏🏻🙌🏼 so thankful the Lord gives us natural ways & His word to bless us when we are in those valleys. I pray you are blessed today with peace & relaxation and most importantly that Jesus will get you through and take whatever is weighing you and your thoughts down with.🙏🏻. You will get through it and be stronger in the end!!

I was wondering about Frankincense. I got myself some to combat a cold and getting over that. I have been reading more about Frankincense and it's benefits for thyroid. So, I have been using my Aveeno lotion with lavender, chamomile, and ylang ylang. And then I add Frankincense. It takes a while to notice it, but I feel like it is beginning to help. My dad had a heart attack in Sept. and mom is dealing with breast cancer. So, you can imagine my stress. Glad to learn about essential oils.

So excited. Just started using essential oils a few months ago, along with continuing to improve my diet, and I LOVE them. I suffer from anxiety, which I know is fear, since my husband passed away 5 years ago. I cannot seem to fully relax since then, but these oils are amazing. They feel like home. My daughter is using them as well. I want to be certified in essential oils. The more I know about them, the better. Thanks Dr. Axe. Very informative video!

I am taking lavender oil under the tongue, it calmed my anxiety within 5 minutes, except i am not sure the long term safety. So will try organic lavender oil, and try to make my own with putting lavender in olive oil for a few weeks.
My anxiety is due to stomach cramps. So I tried butterbur + feverfew, castor oils, damiana, pau d'arco + slippery elm, b1 + b3 500 - 1000 mg each, vit d3 k2, magnesium citrate + magtein
All those works but need to rotate abit except vit b1 b3 d3

It's crazy how high anxiety is in our culture right now. I think it's from overstimulation and a barrage of information. Our brains aren't used to going nonstop! I've been experiencing that overwhelm lately (not quite to the level of anxiety thankfully), and I've been using oils to handle the stress. I use doTERRA Peace blend - it has a lot of calming oils in it like the one you mentioned. It's been so good in an Epsom bath too, since the magnesium in Epsom is calming to stress too.

The crazy thing is I thought my low body temp and freezing to the bones ...i can't move...so I been seeing a Dr for Severe Anxiety and now having Panic Attacks when driving....I not understanding what is happening to me...I been following when I have attack of freezing my temp....and it at the lowest is 93...and 94....i take hot bath with epsom salt and it heats me up...and I have my Thyroid checked every yr PM said it is normal...I have also lost 12 lbs in past few months...and very unwanted weight loss...I looked up low thyroid and it seems to put wt on....i am so confused with what is going on and seeing so many Drs. I just want to do all this natural.....and the paranoia is so horrid laying in bed trying to sleep and my mind is like a race car with gas peddle stuck out of control...I never understood the word STRESS....when young but, TODAY, bills children car payments just everything to care for is feeling out of control for me...maybe even a bit of change of life onset idk anymore...but, it was very nice to see you all chatting and giving support...that is another thing i lack....NO SUPPORT TEAM....thx all for the live chat and thx Dr...hats off to your natural remedies hugs to all that are not feeling well..Ital :)

I get that freezing cold feeling too, when that happens I know right away to take a hot shower. Unfortunately for me years ago I got put on meds for my anxiety and I can pretty much not ever come off them. I really wish I could and I have tried but the anxious feeling and anxiety comes right back tenfold, the meds I take is Buspar. It can cause me seizures, and epilepsy brain seizures if I get off of it, ugh so scary. I really wish the Dr who put me on would've told me that stuff before putting me on it. I too like to do everything natural now and I'd say what helps with people who have anxiety is B vitamins, meditation and positive thinking. Stay away from any caffeinated beverages, use herbal teas which I'm sure you know that 😊, a good tea I like is chamomile or kava. I hope the best for you.

wow, OwleEyes Love....I just got put on Buspar, about 2 weeks ago, and do not like the effects so far, I am on Cymbalta and like you been on for yrs trying for years to get off...i been on since 2008...I wish I could tell others how bad this med really is, I started it on trial studies...I truly think all these Meds Drs put us on is really hurting US...and you also suffer the freezing....it's so bad I know i can't move I feel like I am in the frozen winter month of January below 0 naked outside just frozen ....I have been drinking camomile tea at night with a little honey and it does help calm me...i need very healthy habbits to control this ole brain haaa...thx for reply and huggies to you ...Ital :) P.S. I am sure a lot of others are in our boat and we will beat this...

It's overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidsm) that makes you lose weight. It causes symptoms like nervosusness, anxiety, hyperactivity (while tired, at the same time), mood swings and much more.
I'm thinking that it's more like what Dr. Axe said in the video, your fears have caused you anxiety and now it's manifesting in your life in the form of panic attacks. My dear friend suffered for years with that and it later morphed into agorophobia as well. She finally got it under control with a Behavioral Psychologist, who helped her find her triggers and then change her behavioral patterns and responses to the way she viewed life and responded to it. I hope this helps and that soon you'll be 100% and happy again. You CAN do it!

I take ashwagandha which controls the release of cortisol. Cortisol wakes us naturally in the morning but when we're stressed it spikes at other times waking us through the night and causing that sick feeling in the stomach. Ashwagandha really helps. I also take Rhodiola drops in water half an hour before doing something I'm dreading.

Can you go over the different types of diffusers? Light heat vs humidifier type vs nebulizer? Some may be better for some people than others. Having asthma, young kids, pets, etc could be factors.

Peri menopause causes anxiety and heart palps so its not only “mental” but stress definitely exacerbates it. Calmer environments and more positivity sunlight and exercise.

I went to the hospital 3 times and they thought I had anxiety attack. I’m not sure. I think my body was going through shock from not eating right lately or maybe just dehydration. I had been having constant headaches and feeling fainty and disoriented. That’s why I went to the hospital. I didn’t get to eat a big meal before going and I was waiting too long and then nurse came into take blood. After the left, I started feeling like I would really faint and starting getting scared. My body began to freeze up, like paralysis. It felt like ants were covering my entire body and my arms and legs were stuck, my organs were crushing me. My heart rate went up to 160. They told me it was anxiety but I had never experienced anything like it before and it only happened because I hadn’t eaten. I’ve been eating a lot of chicken lately and it has helped with my problems lately. They told me I wasn’t anemic though but my white blood cells were really high. I still don’t know what’s wrong with me but if I don’t eat, I will have some kind of attack. :(

Sounds like low blood sugar. Chicken is protein and stabilizes blood sugar. At least that's what I;m going through.

Buy a cheap Glucose meter at Walmart and see if it's your blood sugar dropping when you start feeling weird. I feel weird when mine drops in the low 80's and it causes panic attacks.

I agree with checking your sugar level. If it gets low you do feel weird and sweat cold and get panic attacks like symptoms.
