If you add a few drops of you favorite essential oil to a couple of cotton balls and toss them in the canister of your vacuum cleaner, the oil will diffuse through out the area you a vacuuming ;-)
For the mold: dilute 1/2 cup borax in hot water then transfer to a spray bottle when completely dissolved and cooled. Spray on the shower grout on windows or moldy tracks. Borax kills mold and is natural it doesn’t smell. Leave it for a few hours and scrub and rinse. Do this once a month or even leave it im your shower and spray it after you get out.
Lysol works great for mold, it says right on it that it gets rid of and keeps mold away. I had some mold on my back porch from rain and dumped some hot water mixed with some concentrated lysol and the mold just started dripping off my porch!
An alternative hack to the vinegar in the car: use baking soda instead. It absorbs bad odors and doesn't leave any smell behind. I put baking soda in a couple of pie pans and left them in my car for a day and it worked great.
Another natural odor remover is cutting a whole lemon in half, place in dish with open ends exposed to air. The lemon can be left under seat as it will dry out as the odors absorb: I find the lemon a pleasant not to strong scent. Love the hack!
Awesome tips!! Caution for those who try the Dawn in the washer hack - if you use too much you’ll get an explosion of suds out of your washer. Don’t ask how I know. 😬
The first time I used a dishwasher I had this problem! We never had a dishwasher growing up we always did them by hand so I had no idea dishwasher liquid was different than dish soap
The changing the top of Fabuloso to a squeeze top, makes perfect sense for those of us that have difficulty at times with screw tips. Due to arthritis or any other debilitating disorder, it helps immensely. Not every hack will make sense to those that can’t think outside themselves. But it’s really helpful to others that have challenges.
I use cutting board oil on my wood utensils and cutting boards. It keeps them from drying out and looking nice. You don't really want to strip wood. Thank you for the tips, love the laundry ones especially!
I have had washers that I could hold the cap under but the newer washers you are not able to. So it’s best to just toss it in the laundry and it does come out just fine
I have been using Blue Dawn dish detergent liquid as a spot remover in my washer for over ten years. It works to take out spots or stains like crazy. No rag needed, just pour a bit from the bottle directly on the stain, work in slightly with your fingers, then wash as usual. Even handles fruit stains and the infamous "red koolaid" and red wine stains. For the tracks on shower doors and to remove that black, moldy grime around them, use a mix of half white vinegar to half Dawn detergent in a dish brush-scrub on, let sit, then 45 minutes later scrub again and rinse off. Works well.
Omg 😳 my husband should buy stock in Blue Dawn Dishwashing liquid! I clean EVERYTHING with it in its form but also mix a paste of oxi - clean , dawn , and spray shout as well! Obviously 🙄 color check but it’s a miracle…. I can get out any stain known to man. Now , you might have to soak over nite in ur sink if clothes r all whites with set in red wine 🍷 or ketchup etc….
I keep a bar of Zote soap and a fingernail scrub brush at the utility sink. Whenever I have any kind of stain, even a greasy, oily stain that I missed before I put it through the wash and didn't notice until *after* the garment came out of the dryer (urrgh, hate that!), I just wet the brush, pick up a little Zote on it and then work it into the stain and then run it through the wash again. It's like magic--takes the set-in stain right out and it's very inexpensive and one bar lasts *forever* !
My little hack is that the shampoos that we’ve had for a long time or just don’t like. We pour it in the soap dispensers in all the bathrooms , it cuts down on going to the store. The hack with the gym shoes is genius!
I do the same thing but I always add a little dawn too just to have the antibacterial aspect of a hand soap. Plus if whatever I use has a lot of moisturizer in it, it tends to clog up the pump on my dispenser after a while.
The best hack I have ever come across for shower/bathtub is the toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. I but paper towels along the edges and saturate them with the toilet bowl cleaner, let it sit for an hr or longer then rinse. No scrubbing required😊
You know how you're using the paper towels, we have extremely hard water that makes bad rings in the toilet, so I put toilet cleaner in and place tissue paper on top of it , then I put more bowl cleaner on top of the tissue. Make sure it's really saturated. Leave as long as possible. Yes, I usually do it right before bed. In the morning, the first person in flushes and gives it a quick scrub. The ring is gone without hard scrubbing.
For your shower door area- get some of the cotton rope (like they use in a salon for pedicures) saturate the cotton in straight bleach and lay it along the edges. Leave it overnight and come back in the morning throw out the cotton and rinse. I swear it works. No scrubbing, none! You can use it all along grout as well. The cotton sticks to the wall no problem.
I went and bought dollar store tampons and poured/ squirted bleach cleaner in it and let it sit for a couple of hours. Do the same with vinegar water to rinse it!
I use the thick or sometimes it says gel toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. Yes it runs a bit, but for the most part stays in place, especially if it’s a flat or semi flat surface like the caulking around a tub.
Awesome! I watched you for the first time. You talk loud enough and very clear. I love your work. You are so amazing! You make a real great video. Thank you ❤️ See you again soon.
Just a heads up that vacuum hack is bad for your vacuum unless it's okay for wet like a wet/dry shop vacuum or specialty vacuums. Use dryer sheets around the filter instead
The bleach in the grout didn’t work for me, but a steam cleaner got it pure white. I use the steam cleaner in places where there can’t be germs, as I’ve seen what other cleaners leave behind. It’s perfect for stuck on grease, and the window of your stove will turn spotless. One more thing I recently learned- after thoroughly cleaning your toilet, grab some oil. At the moment most of the water is flushed away, spray a thin layer of it inside the bowl. It stays cleaner longer. Stuck on spaghetti sauce on your walls? Fingerprints? There is only one way to remove the gunk and it’s probably very carcinogenic- but Scrubbing Bubbles will clean and remove app that dried in crud on your painted walls without leaving a trace.
Scrubbing Bubbles is also great for removing cigarette smoke residue. I inherited a beautiful wall unit from my grandparents who were lifelong smokers... It took a few hours, 10 cans of Scrubbing Bubbles and endless amounts of paper towel, but it worked and now I have a sweet memento from my grandparents that I can enjoy without my home smelling like second-hand smoke.
Spraying liquid on your vacuum filter and immediately using it is a bad idea! Lol. You should let it dry first so it doesn't get blocked up. Filters are crazy expensive.
The dawn on a rag for laundry stains worked for me. My husband had a button up shirt that he spilled tea on in 2018. I had tried everything nothing worked. 3 years later I tried this and it came out after being stained for 3 years 😳 I was amazed 👏 For the walls I use cheap sponge mop from Dollar Tree.
@@RachPlusFive I have extremely high wall in my home with lots of windows. (Open floor plan with loft) Because of all the windows you see the dust that collects on the walls high above. My dad was a truck driver & knowing how I am about my house being clean, he bought me one of those squeegees like you see at a gas station. There’s one big difference, the one my dad bought me is used for semi’s & not just for the windows. They actually use them to clean the entire outside of the company trucks! It has several controllable extended lengths to it. I start at the top of my walls using the sponge side, which has a cloth mesh, just like the gas station type, scrub the wall & then flip it to use the squeegee side to remove any excess water downward. I shorten the extension, scrub with that water & keep working my way down. Repeat. When I get to my floor boards, I wipe the very little excess water up & while I’m there I take a dryer sheet to clean the floor boards. My walls are sparkling clean!…. Also, for those of you that don’t have walls like mine & use the paint roller, they sell a plastic tool in the paint department to remove excess paint from your roller. You don’t have to use your hands to squeeze the water out, just use the tool.
My Swiffer is my very favorite cleaning tool. You can remove one or two of the links to adjust the reach of the pole- you can also add a link or two from a second swiffer in case you need XTRA reach… The swiffer pads (that I think are really expensive)… become much more cost effective if you rinse and re-use each one, I find I can usually get 2-3 uses per sheet but then the tuck-in corners begin to break down and rip… HOWEVER… I actually dont really have much love for the cleaning solution that comes on them. It’s pretty good for walls, ceilings, cabinet and drawer faces, and baseboards… sorta… and DOORS… like bedroom doors, closet doors… But whether or not Swiffer pads are available… it’s STILL my grime-fighting sidekick, second to none…. …because it has multiple personalities…. As long as I have a thin enough cleaning interface that wraps snugly around each edge and only overlaps once per corner (but can be poked down into the swiffer pad hole-ders… the fabric, the surface, and the right cleaning solution make for a super-swiffer-clean-sweep through most of the house. I just make sure I rinse the foam and plastic pad platform well before moving from one type of cleaning surface or solution to another- any time I need to change up the type of fabric or solution, it’s rinsed and I always save the floor for last. My swiffer slays grime from the ceiling to the floor, walls and doors, counters, cabinets, fridge (still requires immediate dry-towel finish moves), appliance faces, even my windows, sliding glass doors, and mirrors. (The last two things I only ever use rubbing alcohol to clean, nothing else). Even rinsing and swapping out various cottons and microfibers and dry dish towels, etc… I can clean my place fresh, shiny, and spotless from top to literal bottom I’m about an hour… two-three TOPS if I need to swiffer the shower walls and then sponge the bath tub and brush the commode… and vacuum, shampoo the carpet in the living room and freshen up the upholstery… and you know there is never NOT a time that dishes and laundry need done… but seriously… it can ALL be done in less time than it takes me to do my own acrylic nails… by like HALF….
I would love to see more tips. I have one for you too! When you need to cut small items such as grapes, cherry tomatoes, olives or such in half, you don't need to do it individually. You'll need two semi flexible plastic lids such as the ones on margerine or whipped topping. Place the top of one lid on the counter facing up. Lay the food to be cut on top of the lid filling it almost to capacity but leaving a little room. Place the second lid with the top of the the food with the top of the lid facing the counter. Place your hand on top of the upper lid pressing gently. Use a knife with a longer blade and put it between the plates. Slice gently across the food while continuing to hold the top down. When you lift the lid your food will be cut in half. Give it a try it will save a ton of time.
Use the two bucket method when ever you are using something that requires you to wring out your mop or sponge and then use it back on your floor or wall. Always rinse it in one bucket first and then the second bucket. You have a dirty water and a clean water. You are now putting clean stuff on your floor and not the dirty stuff.
I think the issue in your shower is the caulk and silicone needs replaced. Nothing will get it out because it’s embedded in the silicone. I could be wrong though!
I was told this about my shower by a cleaning service, but then I saw a video about using bleach & a little water on cotton over night. It works amazingly! You can use the cotton rolls meant for a hair salon. It's a bit pricey, but so satisfying when it turned white again!
With the Dawn, my mom taught me to put the Dawn on the stain and scrub it with a toothbrush then throw it in the wash and it will come right out. Also you won't be able to get a stain out after it has been washed and then dried, the stain has to be fresh.
My mom was the same way (not the toothbrush though). And the dryer will definitely set a stain. I always check the stain after washing before the dryer so I don’t mess up haha.
It changed my life when I found out I could just toss the laundry detergent cap into the wash lol, Idk why it didn't occur to me right away but I felt so dumb when I realized. Also I don't think that lid switch hack really is overall helpful unless you frequently use only a little. I usually use like half a cup to a full cup at a time so I'd much rather it pour quickly. Super excited to try the mop for the cabinets!
The upside of the green mop head is that when you get a different one for your cabinets, it will be easy to tell them apart! Lol. Seriously though, thanks you for doing these. I've tried watching a couple of the Tic Toc videos and I can't get through them.
That Tilex WORKS AMAZING! I. Been using it for a while now. Only thing it has a very strong bleach aroma. I only let it sit for 5-7 mins.. But I still love it.. I’ve always thrown the laundry cap in the washer I throw the softener one in too. Thanks for all the tips!!
Be careful with the dawn soap thing...soap can actually leave build up in the pipes and things of your washer over time because it's a soap and not a detergent which will end up needing to be fixed or replaced as a result which can void your warranty for the machine...I found this out the hard way 😑☠️
Well the cleaning agent for dish soap is a different type of detergent and not really meant for clothes... it's a different chemical and can have a different reaction to clothes than detergent specifically formulated for clothes and the dyes and chemicals in dish soap can be rough on your skin if you are not careful
Instead of putting Dawn on a washcloth to remove stains from other items, just put it directly on the stain and rub a little. I rinse my soap cap out while my tub is filling so no need to toss it in the washer. Tennis shoes shouldnt really be put in a washer much less a dryer at all. Hand scub, rinse well, dry as much as possible with a towel them stuff newspaper inside them and sit them aside to dry. Yes, it may take more than a day, but extends the life if the shoe.
If you throw your cup in for long enough, it WILL break. I just leave my (top load) washer open while it starts to run and use the water that's filling the tub to rinse the cap out. Works like a charm.
I’ve literally been tossing the cap into the wash for years and have never broken or lost the cap. Lo. You might have a more aggressive washer than I do 😂
I like to use scrub free bathroom cleaner for my bathroom and kitchen sink. I have always been a bleach user but with covid this was the only cleaner on the shelf one day. It has a lemon scent which I normally don't like I like the bleach clean scent when cleaning. This does so well with shower scum and not actually having to use a lot of elbow grease. In my kitchen I have brass drains and it cleans them to a bright shine without any scrubbing. Works good with hard water stains, definitely recommend trying it if you are not satisfied with your cleaners.
I think a regular sponge mop would work better on the walls than a paint roller. I feel like the paint roller is just going to redistribute the junk instead of cleaning it off.
Toilet bowl cleaner ( i use the scrubbing bubble one) and paper towels work the best for me for shower mold in the cracks. Just pour it on the areas then top with paper towels. It prevents the toilet bowl cleaner from drying out while it sets, and also holds the cleaner in place. After about an hour you just rinse it off no scrubbing required. If it's major mold then you may need to scrub.
I love the fabric softener and the dawn on the towel. The cleaning of the stove area, I have silicone protectors that go into the grooves and overlaps the stove and counter. It makes it so much easier to clean
Now that you stripped all the protective oils from the wooden spoon you need to apply mineral oil back. Just like on cutting boards. This hack was a waste of time.
Just spray bleach on inside of shower corners wait 15 mins and rinse with hot water . CLR is for rust , if you have glass sliding doors spray bleach bottom outside corners wait 5 mins wipe with paper towel, also after spray Lysol on outside corners & inside it will prevent pink slime that build up . ..
Love your videos. Please be careful inhaling cleaning product fumes when adding multiple products with steaming hot water. The steam allows the the chemical to vaporize and make it airborne and easier to inhale. Some chemicals should not be mixed together because of reactions. Please be careful.
I definitely loved your HONESTY 👏🏻..ps, you should try cleaning your walls with a swiffer wet mop instead of the roller, because I feel that the roller just presses the dust into the wall, instead of wiping it off. Anyways thanks
I want to tell you what I did so you can give me your opinion. I want my house to smell fresh and clean so I took those gain washer scent beads and put them in a spray bottle then added hot water and shook that until the beads dissolved and I spray my couch and curtains and area rungs with it. Also with the shoes, I put our shoes into a pillow case to wash and dry. I can actually wash the laces (out of the shoes) but into the pillow case with the shoes! Work pretty well! Thank you so much! You rock!
That scent bead trick works really well. You basically make your own Fabreze but much cheaper. I don’t wash our shoes very often in the washer but I’ll try them next time in a pillow case. 😊
Great video! I do this, want to share. After i clean the tops of my cabinets, I dry them, then lay down wax paper to fit over the top, cutting and measuring is involved lol, but next time all you have to do is change the paper! So with the cleaning process you showed, wow, things just got that much easier. thanks
Let me tell you the absolute MOST MAGICAL shower cleaner you can possibly use. Equal parts of vinegar and blue Dawn (has to be blue) in a bowl, microwave for 1 minute. Put in a spray bottle and spray down your entire shower stall (and I mean saturate the walls and doors with it thickly). Leave it for at least an hour but don't let it completely dry. Go back and moisten it. Scrub with a Dollar tree broom dedicated ONLY to cleaning your shower. Rinse walls and doors down very well and I promise you it will take every bit of the soap scum and grossness away like MAGIC. I PROMISE this works! The smell is strong but it's definitely worth it to get a perfectly clean shower stall with almost NO elbow grease.
Thank you for subbing! UA-cam has been doing some weird things recently. My reply was that I’ve seen that method on TikTok but didn’t want to try it until a real person let me know it works as well as suggested. Thank you for letting me know and now I’ll definitely try it. 😊
Great hacks, I love the laundry hacks. Yes I always toss the entire lid into the wash too. Let’s not refill our plug ins with homemade anything please. Once you start a wall fire inside the electrical outlet your not going to know your home is burning until it’s too late to save the house the pets the people asleep… just do t do it. My best cleaning hack is how much I adore and love my roomba and my steam mop. Best investment ever. Before bed I walk through the house and mist an essential oil vinegar and water mixture and when I wake up I run a dust mop top to bottom. my home is the easiest to keep nice ever. Vinegar in the car? Nope. I just vomited in the back of my mouth over that thought. Lol.
Okay, so the vinegar smell will go away. Obviously like any strong anything, ventilation is important. Once vinegar scent is gone, others stinks will be gone too. N by far, it’s the best for taking smells out. I like doing half water, half vinegar, spray bottle n spray directly on surfaces. Again, ventilation, and a few minutes for vinegar scent to be gone. My feet stink with no socks, i put my toms in vinegar water and let them dry. No stinky feet.
Re the dish soap pod. Powdered dish soap has always been known to be a really good cleaner. You can use it for cleaning problems other than dishes. But I would say if you don't have a pod just use regular dish powder. Its going to do a really good job.
Try cleaning white vinegar to put in a bucket it may take out the green. Cover the mop head and let it sit for an hour. It works for me and it's cheaper 🙂
That Tilex stuff actually really works. I don’t know if she didn’t saturate the areas enough or not but I’ve been buying it for over 15 years and it really does work.
I have the same problem with my shower doors, they are so hard to keep clean! CLR works great, the kind in the jug not the spray bottle. I pour it full strength on the tracks and scrub with a toothbrush maybe 10 minutes later. It helps tremendously! As far as the black in the corners is that behind caulk? The issue with mine is that there is clear caulk/sealant there and over time it gets caught underneath and needs to be replaced.
Thank you. I’ve done CRL but it was to spray or diluted from the jug. I’ll do full strength next time. And I do think it’s something to do with the chalk.
I have always known not to wet a vacuum filter, but I went ahead and got info from google for y'all. Never do that! Here's why: "If you own a bagless vacuum, do not put a wet filter back in the machine. This will hurt the motor, but even worse, it can cause mold to grow. A warm, damp, dirty place is the perfect combination to grow mold. Then when you turn the vacuum on it blows the mold around your house.". So, yeah, the whole febreeze on the vacuum filter is not a good idea. I use the scent beads and just load them in there, then when you vacuum, the scent beads smell better than the typical dog smell that comes from my vacuum. Just an FYI.
Nice job. I like the precise and succinct way you explain things. I would like a video that only uses vinegar, baking soda and maybe dish soap, buying all these cleaners seems extreme and sometimes you need to clean with the basics when you are not in your own home.
For the last one.. you need more water. I have the same pod and mop and my mop head actually came out really clean and white. Worked great on laminate floors
I just don't understand how a roller cleans your walls when you're just rolling cleaner on it the roller rolls as you go. It's not any kind of grip or anything to pull anything off of you just rolling dirt around on your wall no?!
As for the cleaning with the tide and Don combination… My grandmother always washed dishes with tide powder, we clean the house using tide powder, and when you’re done came into the picture she did combine done with both the tile for dishes and the cleaning. A part to note, in my opinion, is that you really need to rinse well if you’re going to use it on a mirror or a window or something where the glass factor can be altered the streaks.Just a simple damp rag with plain warm water on it, used after you wash with the cleansing solution, will do the trick. This works fair spot treatment on laundry, stains on wooden cutting boards, etc. And if you’re going to use the dawn power wash on anything, know that you were going to have to use more water to rinse it. This includes dishes.
for mold and mildew in showers/tubs... use clorox clean up! Get mold/mildew wet with water then spray clorox clean up. Let sit about 30 mins and rinse. Some stubborn areas may need a little scrubbing but this method works better than Clorox mold/mildew spray
I clean houses professionally and not having a dust pan is an issue, at times, for me. I don't carry one and all houses don't have one. Thanks for the makeshift dust pan demo.
I never knew it said to throw the measuring lid in, but I've always done it and ppl act like it's so weird. I buy Costco size laundry soap and wash at least 1 load a day and have never broken a cup.
I also would not mix Lysol with a dishwasher pod for cleaning your floor. Dishwasher pods have disinfectant in them already. Mixing chemicals is a bad idea, especially when you're standing over the steam. Lol
Truth! And heaven help you if you get that floor wet - dishwasher surfactants are very slippery - dissolve one by itself into a sink full of hot water, you'll see what I mean. You'd break your neck if the surfactants were reactivated by dog pee, rain from an umbrella, a spilled cup of watet.
For showers I use Barkeepers Friend. It comes in powder like Comet or in a cream like Vim. This removes hard water stains the easiest and fastest as well as soap scum and dirt. For mould the only thing is straight bleach to kill the mould. I put it in a spray bottle. Spray, wait a couple of minutes and then rinse. Other than those products water and microfibre cloths will clean everything. Save buying chemicals and buy good microfibre cloths…no streaks or rinsing. Just wipe dry. Wash your cloths in washing machine and dry in the dryer without fabric softener.
I really like Barkeepers Friend as well. Best of all, it's cruelty free! All the products mentioned in this video are tested on animals-- why use a product that animals had to suffer for? I would never support these companies by buying or using these products!
@@phyllisbrown3832 eCloths are great for cleaning and polishing windows and mirrors. Just use water. Never use windex, etc. because it just leaves product behind and hence streaks. I got some on Amazon but recently saw some in Walmart. I like any "fluffly" micorofibre cloth for dusting. Got some good ones at Home Depot. I will never use any other kind of cleaning cloth unless it is a toxic messy spill and I plan to throw the rag away (i.e. old towel).
Who knew all these hacks I have been doing for years not all but most and some no one knows. Now ppl are coming in saying it's new. If you are ocd clean like me you come up.with all kinds of things and inventions to clean and get into all nooks and cranny's. Don't forget the very top of those cabinets and if there is that much crud running a knife between the stove and cabinet i guarantee you if you pull the stove out you will find so much more.

@@RachPlusFive hi. I must have missed the part about the dawn on the rag in with the stained items….did it work??? Thank you I’m advance ❤

Food grade mineral oil :) also good if you have a butchers block
@@megiddo7664 I use the mineral oil, too, especially to refresh all of my bamboo furniture & decor.

For the laundry detergent cap I usually just hold it under the water as it fills the tub to rinse it

I normally use it for food stains on clothes too and pour it directly on. This rag trick was just the TikTok hack.

I love using toilet bowl cleaner for tubs. I’ve never thought of the paper towel part though. I like it. 😊
Yes my aunt has done this hack for ages and really does work bleach with paper but yes also new silicone make a new clean difference 🌻
Yes, please do more. You are really helping us, saving time, money and energy
Thank you! I’ll check making them as long as people keeping enjoying them. 😊❤️
Thank you. Definitely trying this! We are replacing all the chalking but not just yet so anything to help is wonderful. 😊
If you like smelling bleach all night while trying to sleep, yes, it is amazing.
@@blondebobbi4505 you can turn on the fan add another and close the door. Or you could leave it on during the day.

Just a heads up that vacuum hack is bad for your vacuum unless it's okay for wet like a wet/dry shop vacuum or specialty vacuums.
Use dryer sheets around the filter instead
Thank you for this!!! Gonna try this!!
True. Manual says to let the filter dry completely. Warranty voided 🥲
I been using the fabric softener hacks but ppl keep warning it’s flammable. So now I’m a lil weary
Robin- fabric softener is flammable but if you’re using small amounts and cleaning regularly, you shouldn’t have a problem.
If you put a few drops of essential oils on a cotton ball put on vacuum canister and it works perfectly
Instead of oil in the toilet boil I've heard to use car wax
Scrubbing Bubbles is also great for removing cigarette smoke residue. I inherited a beautiful wall unit from my grandparents who were lifelong smokers... It took a few hours, 10 cans of Scrubbing Bubbles and endless amounts of paper towel, but it worked and now I have a sweet memento from my grandparents that I can enjoy without my home smelling like second-hand smoke.
What kind of oil do you suggest you said spray the oil like cooking spray oil?
The cap swap for the bottles (dawn & fabuloso) might be useful for people with arthritis or other issues making it hard to open twist/safety caps.
As long as no kids n the house
Yep, I have RA. I can NOT open safety caps. So this is nice to know
right ! also i def use fabulouso as is
Thank you 😊
I have that problem. Can’t even open a pill bottle
I just rinse the cup after adding the detergent. While the water is still filling the washer.
I used to do that but the newer machines (or at least the ones I’ve used) don’t run water if the lid is open.
I tried it but my cup split.
Cant do that with a front loader... but when I can I do exactly what you said...
That's what I do, too.
Spraying liquid on your vacuum filter and immediately using it is a bad idea! Lol. You should let it dry first so it doesn't get blocked up. Filters are crazy expensive.
I use the foaming Clorox for mold and mildew on my shower door and leave it while I clean the rest of the bathroom and it works!!
I don't even scrub it just rinse and it's clean even the glass doors.
The dawn on a rag for laundry stains worked for me. My husband had a button up shirt that he spilled tea on in 2018. I had tried everything nothing worked. 3 years later I tried this and it came out after being stained for 3 years 😳 I was amazed 👏
For the walls I use cheap sponge mop from Dollar Tree.
That’s wonderful!! 😊
You can remove one or two of the links to adjust the reach of the pole- you can also add a link or two from a second swiffer in case you need XTRA reach…
The swiffer pads (that I think are really expensive)… become much more cost effective if you rinse and re-use each one, I find I can usually get 2-3 uses per sheet but then the tuck-in corners begin to break down and rip… HOWEVER… I actually dont really have much love for the cleaning solution that comes on them. It’s pretty good for walls, ceilings, cabinet and drawer faces, and baseboards… sorta… and DOORS… like bedroom doors, closet doors…
But whether or not Swiffer pads are available… it’s STILL my grime-fighting sidekick, second to none….
These are awesome tips. Do you have one for cleaning a stainless steel refrigerator? Could you use rubbing alcohol too? TIA
Thank you. 😊 I’ve actually used this hack for grapes for my toddler.
I use Dawn directly on the fabric if it's grease of any kind.
If it’s stubborn, I sprinkle a little baking soda first along with the dawn to help pull the stain. It works wonders.
Murphys oil soap works great on clothes stains also, especially on grease and grass stains
Great video!! Yes, more of these videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 😊
I use my Ocedar mop on my walls with the same solution you used on the cabinets. So quick and the tide removes greasy dirty fingerprints so easily.
Use vinegar instead of fabric softener or dryer sheets . Use 1/2 cup in washing machine in the fabric softener resevoir
I would love to see more videos like this one.
Thanks. Loved it
I think the issue in your shower is the caulk and silicone needs replaced.
Thank you 😊
@@cynthiakovach2083 You can also use toilet paper for this!
As we own a small family tile business, I would suggest you taking off old caulk and redo!

Thank You for all the hacks you test for us. Please keep them coming. God Bless You and your Family.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the tip about the laundry detergent top! I never bothered to read the directions! Lol
Thank you for these tips. I’ve never seen the paper towel dust pan or the sponge dryer sheet. 😎
Thanks for your vid. I will definitely try some of your hacks!!
Thank you 😊
Very helpful info. Now, I just need someone to help me do all this cleaning LOL.
I love the shoes in the dryer door and the sponge hack. Tyfs
Thank you 😊
If you place your shoes at the base of your fridge where the vent is it will work like a dehumidifier and dry your shoes fast.
I’ll have to try that. 😊
Will putting the strings through the door cause any ware and tare on the door from the weight of the shoes over time? That would be my only concern.
@@jeanajett2719 oh yes, it sure will f*** up your gasket. Don't do this hack! $300 repair, a wrecked gasket makes your dryer inefficient.
The upside of the green mop head is that when you get a different one for your cabinets, it will be easy to tell them apart! Lol. Seriously though, thanks you for doing these. I've tried watching a couple of the Tic Toc videos and I can't get through them.
Haha very good point. 😊
Love 💕 it! Been using for years. I seem to get better results just to spray after shower while shower still damp.
I can’t find a place to purchase tilex.
I found the Tilex at Walmart but have also seen it at Target. Maybe try their websites. 😊
Be careful with the dawn soap thing...soap can actually leave build up in the pipes and things of your washer over time because it's a soap and not a detergent which will end up needing to be fixed or replaced as a result which can void your warranty for the machine...I found this out the hard way 😑☠️
Ruh roh…..I use dawn in washer all the time but just preapplied to stains?!?!
2nd that Ruh Roh!!! Could that be what causes the "lint" appearance on my dark clothes?
Well the cleaning agent for dish soap is a different type of detergent and not really meant for clothes... it's a different chemical and can have a different reaction to clothes than detergent specifically formulated for clothes and the dyes and chemicals in dish soap can be rough on your skin if you are not careful
And it may take out stains but the difference in chemicals can actually wear out your clothes faster because it's a harsher cleaner
Yes another one! I love your cleaning hacks testing videos!
Thank you!!! 😊❤️
For the Clorox tile hack; maybe the toothbrush wasn’t hard enough. I like to use the white denture brush from the dollar tree.
Yes, the denture brush bristles are harder/longer and are angled so it's perfect for those tight corners and places a toothbrush won't reach.
If you throw your cup in for long enough, it WILL break. I just leave my (top load) washer open while it starts to run and use the water that's filling the tub to rinse the cap out. Works like a charm.
That’s what I used to do but our new washer doesn’t run water if the lid is open.
Me too
I do this in every wash, it has never even cracked.
Lost my cup the first time I tried. :(
I’ve literally been tossing the cap into the wash for years and have never broken or lost the cap. Lo. You might have a more aggressive washer than I do 😂
I’m so thankful for you!!
I’m thankful for you! 😊
Is scrub free the name or what is the exact name of the product so I can try it? 😊
I think a regular sponge mop would work better on the walls than a paint roller. I feel like the paint roller is just going to redistribute the junk instead of cleaning it off.
I agree about the sponge mop. I’ve seen that on Pinterest and I’ve used one myself for walls but I tried out the TikTok hack. 😊
I use a plain swifter to do my walls!! I use a microfiber cloth!!
I love the fabric softener and the dawn on the towel. The cleaning of the stove area, I have silicone protectors that go into the grooves and overlaps the stove and counter. It makes it so much easier to clean
Where did you get the silicone to go by the stove

Now that you stripped all the protective oils from the wooden spoon you need to apply mineral oil back. Just like on cutting boards. This hack was a waste of time.

I was going to say this as well. Wood utensils, etc need to be oiled to maintain them. Soaking them in water is not good.
@@butterflyqueen9260 thanks
Ugh! No boiling water on wooden utensils! The oils in the pores of the wood repel grime. Also, many woods are antimicrobial in nature anyway.
My hack is to use 1 teaspoon of liquid oxiclean with hot water, it leaves my floor beautiful and smell great, plus it glides the mop like butter!
I’ve never used liquid Oxiclean but now I want to.
CLR is good in those shower corners saturate and leave for hours then come back saturate again then scrubby dubb dub sparkly clean
I’ve used CLR on those corners but have always diluted it. What you suggested is my last option I’m going to try before replacing the caulking. 😊
Just spray bleach on inside of shower corners wait 15 mins and rinse with hot water . CLR is for rust , if you have glass sliding doors spray bleach bottom outside corners wait 5 mins wipe with paper towel, also after spray Lysol on outside corners & inside it will prevent pink slime that build up . ..

Yes I would like to see more cleaning hacks. I love your channel.❤️
Thank you! Already working on another one. 😊
Love your videos. Please be careful inhaling cleaning product fumes when adding multiple products with steaming hot water. The steam allows the the chemical to vaporize and make it airborne and easier to inhale. Some chemicals should not be mixed together because of reactions. Please be careful.
Thank you so much for your honesty. It's really nice and I really appreciate it
Thank you 😊
I definitely loved your HONESTY 👏🏻..ps, you should try cleaning your walls with a swiffer wet mop instead of the roller, because I feel that the roller just presses the dust into the wall, instead of wiping it off. Anyways thanks
Thank you 😊
I want to tell you what I did so you can give me your opinion.
So proud of you - look at you mama 6K! (It's been a minute since I've been able to catch one of your vids)!
Thank you! 😊
Great video! I do this, want to share. After i clean the tops of my cabinets, I dry them, then lay down wax paper to fit over the top, cutting and measuring is involved lol, but next time all you have to do
is change the paper! So with the cleaning process you showed, wow, things just got that much
easier.
I’ve seen it on TikTok but never tried it. I wanted to get a review from a real person first. Thank you, I’ll give it a try. 😊
I use my o’cedar spin mop to clean my walls! It’s quick and easy!! I love that mop!!
It’s such a great product!
This was a fantastic video!! I’m new here and about to go watch more of yours!
Thank you so much! 😊❤️
Try bleach water on the black stuff...NOT at the same time as the CLR!
@@lindaqualls6479 that's what clorox/tilex are... strong bleach water.
@@cataubawoman Oh. Well, that works! Lol!
For the mould and mildew hack it helps to cover it with paper towels so it soaks properly and not fry up. For me it always works
Which cleaner do you use with the paper towels....Tlex?
Nice job. I like the precise and succinct way you explain things. I would like a video that only uses vinegar, baking soda and maybe dish soap, buying all these cleaners seems extreme and sometimes you need to clean with the basics when you are not in your own home.
Thank you. I can work on a video like that. 😊
I'd use the o’cedar mop to clean walls, too🤗
Barkeepers friend. That will get out any stain in your bathroom or kitchen. Put it on and 5 mins anything is gone.
Powder or liquid for bathroom or doesn’t matter?!?
For the last one.. you need more water. I have the same pod and mop and my mop head actually came out really clean and white. Worked great on laminate floors
I’ll try that. Thank you. 😊
1st time watching you. Great and beautifully explained. Loved it. Thank you. Keep up the good work!! U got a new suscriber. 😉👍

Bar keepers friend spray and then powder then spray again. That is the combo I use to clean the tub.
Thank you for all the hacks. Winners and losers.
Thank you 😊
I just don't understand how a roller cleans your walls when you're just rolling cleaner on it the roller rolls as you go. It's not any kind of grip or anything to pull anything off of you just rolling dirt around on your wall no?!
The material of the roller does feel like a sponge so I can see how this one works. Plus it took some splashed food off my wall very easily. 😊
Cabinet cleaning hack is amazing!!!
I let the clean up sit overnight the next morning the shower/tub is extra white no scrubbing needed. Wipe away and rinse.
I’ve been doing the knife to clean the side of my stove for years!!!
I clean houses professionally and not having a dust pan is an issue, at times, for me. I don't carry one and all houses don't have one. Thanks for the makeshift dust pan demo.
Our front loader dryer has a rack that you install and put the shoes or lay a sweater on it !! Love my front loaders ❤️
I’m looking into a rack for mine. 😊
Yes more please!!!love this thank you!!!
Love your idea of using Barkeepers Friend! Can you recommend a brand of good microfiber cloths and where to buy them, please? Thanks!
I get my microfibers from Amazon. They come in large packages and hold up very well.
