Great video but…. there’s no need to take the leaves off cilantro stems, the stems down to the very bottom are full of flavor!! Being Hispanic, we don’t waste any of it 😊😊
Onion slicing tip from an old chef I worked with. Rub olive oil liberally on the knife you'll be using. Works every time. Love your channel! Wish I had found it sooner.
I love this hint, but will only use it when I can't use my usual hack: ask hubby to cut onions, praise him, his chest puffs out from said praise and he's a happy man, I"m a happy woman.
The reason not to wash strawberries before storing in a sealed glass or plastic container (even a zipper bag will work) is because the added moisture is what allows them to begin to rot or get moldy. You can wash them first if you make sure they're as dry as possible before storing. Same goes for mushrooms, fresh herbs and other fruit and veg - keep as dry as possible while stored in the refrigerator and wash right before using to increase storage life.
The cilantro hack seems like a lot of extra work. Besides, there is a TON of flavor in the stems just cut off the very ends and use the entire bunch. More flavor, and you doubled what you can use.
This would be nice for parsley, the stems are too fibrous to chew. She was seeing if the hacks worked on tick tock I'm guessing the hack was with parsley and cilantro and flat parsley look almost the same. 😊
Thank you. I really liked the one about the wipes. I’m 83 and I never run out of wipes. When my babies came along we had to use a wash rag. So you had to wash the diaper in the toilet an then you had to wash out the wash rag before you put it in the washer. Every time I pull out wipes, they come out three at a time. Can’t wait to use the rubber band.
I like the strainer hack. But the pan you were using with the funnel spout is already a strainer... That's what the holes in the lid you used to squeeze the cheese out are for. Turn the lid so the holes are at the funnel area and drain into sink. Can also be used to vent while you simmer a sauce and no splatter everywhere, making your need for easyoff not needed as much. 🌷 PS, Blew me away with the whisk and flour!! Thank you for testing all these for us!
Your video came up in my recommendations & at 1st I was skeptical because I feel like people just do the same hacks over & over, but some of these had me like 😲 🤗 Where have they been all my life ☺ The can opener, the pasta strainer, and the bread hack👌🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Thank you!
You have to put cling film on top of the oven cleaner so it doesn't dry out. Then leave it 24 hrs and it wipes right off. No scrubbing. Use oven cleaner on EVERYTHING that's tough to get out.
I also really enjoy your videos. You give a brief explanation before showing the hack without a long winded speech about it. I'm a semi retired woman who has a almost 40 year old daughter lives with me. We both work part time. She works late afternoon and I work nights. So anything to make our lives easier would really appreciate it. From cleaning to cooking anything. Thank you.❤️❤️❤️
Tip... for cereal that has gone stale empty the cereal into a baking pan and bake on a low setting like 300. Keep in mind if your cereal has alot of sugar like fruit loops you need to keep an eye on the cereal because it can burn easily. I usually bake my cereal for 5-10min depending how much I'm baking. Take out of oven when done leave to cool. It will be slightly soft but when it cools it will be just as fresh as when you bought it or better😁 ps. Mix cereal a few times while baking.
It does the same for stale crackers, chips, tortilla chips. About anything dry like those. Saves from unnecessary food waste, I get really concerned about waste.
There are onion particles that are released when cutting that are attracted to water, any water, nearby, in most cases your eyes. Having a bowl of water next to the cutting board usually accomplishes the same thing as the wet paper towel.
That’s an awesome tip. Chilling the onions helps a ton too, I store my onions in the fridge and rarely have issues. If I buy one on the way home and it’s room temperature though? Oof. I’ll keep this in mind for those times :)
I can't live without my "WIPES!" Being 65, it's not easy using just regular toilet paper. I love that hair tie hack! In morning, going to put on my wipes ASAP! Thank you!

Your air fryer has a container to keep the water off the heating element. Mine and I'm sure others don't and you wouldn't want to put liquid inside the air fryer.
Hello Rachel I am new on your channel, I love this video! Looking forward to watching other videos! Great hack ideas! Definetly going to try these! Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!
Hi Rachel. I just came across this video. I'm 4' 11" and would love to see a video of just short girl hacks. Cleaning and more. Just subscribed and look forward to catching your previous videos. Thank you in advance. Nicole.
I love the life hacks as much as the cleaning hacks. I think they go hand in hand as a mom. I am so glad I found your channel, you're absolutely wonderful! TFS
Great hacks. Although I wouldn't dirty a cheese grater to take the stems off the cilantro. Most people use the stems and just cut them up when they cut up the leaves. Even if you didn't want to use the stems it's easier to just cut the stem off while you are cutting up the cilantro. The boiling over pot, I just take it off the burner when it starts boiling over. Seems to work alot faster than the ice does. Besides the ice cools off the water so you have to wait for the water to get hot again and start boiling. When using the wisk for the pancake mix, how do you know how much you have added to the bowl so you know how much milk or water to it?The cereal box hack seems like alot of extra work, hard work for a small child. It doesn't seal the cereal anymore than just closing the flap normally. I personally use small clips to close the cereal bag and close the box normal.Fyi, cereal cost more than pasta. I'd rather waste a few spaghetti noodles than a cup or so of cereal. It is a good video though. I hope I dont come across negative, I'm just trying to add my two cents to some of the hacks to make life easier for everyone. Have a great day!

I can see the baby wipe hack also being useful on any of my 'bag' wipes. I still use baby wipes as they are fabulous. Also, supposedly rainx prevents fog/condensation build up on mirrors. Never tried it though...
I have heard that about RainX but when I went to try it, it was completely sold out in my area for over 3 months and then I forgot about it. I’ll be trying that in my next hacks video though.

A hack to your Easy Off hack :) Spray it down and cover with plastic wrap and leave overnight. It works so much better because the cleaner doesn't dry that way!! Hope it helps!!
I do that easy off trick on the glass cooktop but I use the original yellow can and really soak the cooktop with it. Then I put a layer of paper towels on it and it helps to keep it wet longer. In the morning you can use those paper towels that are on it to wipe off some and then when you use the clean ones to get the rest, it will be so clean...nothing at all will be left! You will even be able to see the grime soaked into the paper towels before you wipe it.
I've been cutting onion at 5 I'm 42 I've never had running eye's.... I always wet the onion before I cut it Update: the wipes i will try that i love using wipes for everything cleaning 😍💕💕
The swifter mop one, also works very very well.. when cleaning the bathtub and shower walls.. and on walls through out the out.. I use fabulous to wet the swifter.. and start an up an down motion until my walls smell so good
At minute 10:00 you don't prewash your berries cuz you will more than likely leave a tiny bit of moisture. And moisture, even in the frig = mold!! At 11:50 Yes, turn your can owner that way for everything EXCEPT for tuna fish. This way you can still squeeze the water/oil out.
Haha sadly I opened a tuna can a couple weeks ago the wrong way and hand to use the lid to push down the tuna in a strainer to drain it completely. 🤦🏼♀️
Soon after I watched this video I just had to try the can opener hack & I DID use it for tuna because I had plan on making some anyway....some of the liquid spilled out, so next time I'll just put a wet dish towel underneath (my paper towels are too flimsy & cheap) 😄 no big deal 💁🏽♀️ but I also have a can strainer that I purchased from Zulily a while back 😉 sometimes they have great kitchen gadgets

I lost my mom's old cat as she got into oxy clean without me knowing. It rotted out the inside of her mouth. I was devastated. Cats are attracted to odd smells and tastes. I am usually very careful. I just didn't expect her to be drawn to something like that. I will feel forever guilty over that mistake.
I’m so sorry, that’s awful! Our cat smelled it while I was spraying and ran so I wasn’t worried about her. This is good to know for others though with curious kitties.
Hi Rachel I just became a new subscriber to your channel last night because I think these hacks are just fabulous first of all I found out about the mustard cap probably about a week and a half ago which I am 56 years old and I had no idea love your channel great !!!
I like the baby wipes hack, and I'm so with you on the Swiffer. I use it to kill a bug up high on the wall, and almost everything I can't reach! I'm only 5'1", so that's almost everything! 😂 Btw, yes-more videos would be great. I like your style of delivery. 😊
Your hack of stripping your herbs through The grater also works using a strainer although I'm seeing that yours has pretty little different kinds of holes in it instead of just regular little round hose but you can strip them through the holes in the strainer
I love what your doing, kitchen or cleaning or food, thier is alot out , that doesn't work , and if you prove it works it makes life so much easy.thank you for showing those that work.
There were lots of hacks that I've never seen before and cant wait to try it. As for the cilantro and the grater method, maybe use the wide opened side to give yourself more room, but is it worth taking the time to put individual stalk through tiny hole - versus just pulling leaves off with your fingers?? I don't like the stems in my food, it just may be too time consuming, but I'm going to try it! More videos please! Thanks!
Just tried the Swiffer to clean my mirrors. I am going to buy some of the micro fiber towels. I used 2 dry sweeping cloths that worked okay did 3 mirrors in big bathroom(we have 3 different bathrooms)it literally has 3 separate mirrors 1 over each sink and 1 behind the toilet. I am going to try this on my car windows next. I have some mobility issues so I think it will help to use only one piece of the handle.
Good morning I just came across your video and like that's a question we live in a mobile home and I have the most dust problem, do you have any suggestions what can I do, and by the way when I'm cutting onion what can I use to get rid of the scent 🤔
That creamer one makes me wonder how much bacteria you’re pushing into the creamer doing it that way. Where were the seals before they were on the creamer? 😬
@@jenniferc53 oh I was meaning the actual metal seal, that you would normally pull off, is now being pushed into the creamer. Not the spout of the lid.
Great hacks! I just found your channel and I'm glad I did. I love anything that makes my life easy, so thank you for sharing! You got a new subscriber.
The mac n cheese hack I use is i squeeze out most the cheese first then i fold the packet into froths and squeeze the rest using the fork .. Inset the folded packet between the tines and pull it out into the pan.
I have never been able to clean the top portion of my mirrors. Will definitely be using the Swiffer Sweeper hack. Re: Chopping onions. As far as I know there is no hack that works 100% of the time. I think it just depends on how strong your onion is. What I've had the most success with is making sure the onion is very cold. I will take a whole onion from the bin and stick it in the freezer for about 15 minutes, then chop.
I was also told that you can leave the water running a little while cutting the onion and the water particles will get in the air and not burn your eyes. Or washing the onion with water before cutting also helps
Great video but…. there’s no need to take the leaves off cilantro stems, the stems down to the very bottom are full of flavor!! Being Hispanic, we don’t waste any of it 😊😊
The stalks have as much nutritive value as the leaves and are eaten in India too. How can one waste any of the parts except removing the roots
True
Agreed dont just take the leaves off throw the whole dam thing out- its gross
I think the stalk is the best part!
Herb shears work great for cilantro

Your hack of stripping your herbs through The grater also works using a strainer although I'm seeing that yours has pretty little different kinds of holes in it instead of just regular little round hose but you can strip them through the holes in the strainer
I love these hacks!!!
Some I had known.. but a lot were new to me!
Thanks!!!
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much!! 😊❤️
Loved the video! ❤️... The baby wipe hack is a LIFE SAVER!! THANKS!! 😊
Thank you 😊
There were lots of hacks that I've never seen before and cant wait to try it. Thanks!
Thank you 😊
Just tried the Swiffer to clean my mirrors.
Yes keep them coming! Love your hack videos!
Thank you! I will.
Omg the coffee creamer hack!!! 🤦🏻♀️👏🏼👏🏼
I love ALL your life hacks! I have learned so much from you, and thank you very much!!
Thank you 😊
Good morning I just came across your video and like that's a question we live in a mobile home and I have the most dust problem, do you have any suggestions what can I do, and by the way when I'm cutting onion what can I use to get rid of the scent 🤔
I loved it!!! I get tired of just cleaning hacks!
Thank you 😊
I knew the wooden spoon one but the others are great to know.Especially the strainers 🤦♀️
I just started watching you’re videos on UA-cam, I love love them. Can you share info on your vacuums and a mop that you plugged in. Please
Thank you! My vacuum is the Dyson v8 Motörhead. The mop is a shark steam mop.
That creamer one makes me wonder how much bacteria you’re pushing into the creamer doing it that way. Where were the seals before they were on the creamer? 😬
But once you put the cap back on, the creamer would touch the same spot. So does it matter?
@@jenniferc53 oh I was meaning the actual metal seal, that you would normally pull off, is now being pushed into the creamer. Not the spout of the lid.
Great hacks! I just found your channel and I'm glad I did. I love anything that makes my life easy, so thank you for sharing! You got a new subscriber.
Thank you so much! 😊
The mac n cheese hack I use is i squeeze out most the cheese first then i fold the packet into froths and squeeze the rest using the fork .. Inset the folded packet between the tines and pull it out into the pan.
Awesome hacks!! My mom always used the bread one. I am buying some easy off today!! 😆 ❤️
It’s amazing! I’m going to try the easy off hack on my baking sheets next. 😊
Omg the cheese hack...love it♥️
I seriously thought I was only one who tied up bread loaves like that! New to your channel and glad it came up in my recommendations. Happy New Year!

Wow great tips greetings from south Africa 🇿🇦
at 20:49 the pot u used had a lip so things came out..... the second time the pot didn't have a lip.... so stuff didn't come out...
I know that. I was hoping that holding the strainer against the inside of the pot would block the pour sprout.
First time watching some of your hack videos and enjoyed all watched so far. Continue doing all hacks. Thank you
Thank you 😊
Yess please keep them coming! Those were amazing. I love your videos
Love the mom hack at the end!
I really loved all the hacks. It was excellent, great presentation!
Thank you 😊
Definitely will apply some of these hacks in my everyday life!
Keep doing both hacks. Cleaning and cooking. Good information on both.
Thanks
Thank you 😊
I have never been able to clean the top portion of my mirrors. Will definitely be using the Swiffer Sweeper hack. Re: Chopping onions. As far as I know there is no hack that works 100% of the time. I think it just depends on how strong your onion is. What I've had the most success with is making sure the onion is very cold. I will take a whole onion from the bin and stick it in the freezer for about 15 minutes, then chop.
perfection for the easy off glass stove cleaner !
Thank you for all of these great, useful hacks…. That I wished I knew sooner! Lol
Thank you 😊
I was also told that you can leave the water running a little while cutting the onion and the water particles will get in the air and not burn your eyes. Or washing the onion with water before cutting also helps
I’ve tried both of those… they help but you still get the reaction some.
