The black light hack is great. This also works if you have kids who don't always wash their hands well enough, and flip the light switch in the bathroom when they leave. With the light off, shine the black light on the switch, door handle, sink or any other surface. Just a bonus, you can use it to find pee stains from your pets as well. If you smell animal urine, but can't quite find it, try this. At night, shut all your lights off and begin at one end of the house and shine the black light on every surface. Corners of closets, under the bed, or along the baseboards are especially prone.
Yeah, I used a blacklight when my poor boy kitty had kidney disease and was using the floor for his bathroom instead of kitty box. Helped me find everywhere to clean.
No need to tuck the fitted sheet inside itself if you’re putting the set away....fold the fitted (the same way as shown) and flat sheets to the same size and place inside the pillow case and fold the pillowcase flap underneath. The entire set is folded and put away together, looks much neater when put away and is easier to grab.
You can then store those together and pillow cases separately. I find with kids and mouth droolers lol I sometimes need to change pillow cases before the sheets need to be changed so this works better for me.
It also works to fold your flat sheet in a square and place in the middle as you complete the fitted sheet so they are folded together. You can then put that in to a pillow case and fold to how you like (small square or big). Typically I put one pillow case folded on top of the flat sheet that is folded inside the fitted sheet, fold, put in the 2nd pillow case and voila an entire bed change is neatly folded and all together. The other way is to only place flat sheet inside the fitted and fold it like in your video. You can
The cotton rope (like they use for perms and pedicures) works awesome for grout. I moved into a place and the shower had mildew all over. I have done some of the hacks you have in the past. One thing I would like to share is softener/water on spray bottle, you can spray them in your pillow case / cover sheet and let it dry for couple minutes before you lay your head and you will feel so clean going to bed, also if you iron your clothes use them to get the wrinkle out and it smells good afterward. Been doing this since I was 12, learned it from my Grandma.
I’m so glad I found your channel. You are “real” and not a UA-camr that tries too hard to be professional and liked. Recently found ur videos n now Im a fan lol. Not sure if u know this or have tried but... A hack that I learned years ago with my sheets. Neatly fold the sheets plus 1 pillowcase n stack then place ur stack inside the remaining pillowcase. Fold the excess over then u have a full set inside 1 pillowcase. They stack neater n the set is all 2gthr 😊 I hope that makes sense. I clean houses so I can't wait 2 try a few of these hacks! Thanks!
Thank you! I’ve tried that hack and it’s actually how I mainly store ours. It’s easier when the kids need new sheets just grab the one pillowcase and they’ve got everything they need. 😊
I'm a new subscriber! Love your content! The water and fabric softener hack we do here too. I also lightly spritz it on my couch and curtains and sheets and comforters too!
I'd highly suggest not using a bleach cleaner on caulking or silicone like above the sink. Definitely don't let it sit. It'll break it down and you'll have to redo. Use baking soda or rubbing alcohol but don't let alcohol sit long either.
@@gracekelehar4014 maybe my comment will help those who don't know. I did construction work for 8 years. Most people don't know not to use bleach cleaners on caulk. Also white vinegar is better for the life of grout as well.
The blender hack is great, but there is a ring inside the base where the top seals. If you don’t pull that out and clean and the crevice, you will have mold in there.
You only need boiling hot water and 2 microfiber cloths one for cleaning and one for drying rubber gloves and a little multipurpose spray and it cleanes absolutely brilliantly Spray the area with cleaner wipe clean with the hot microfiber cloth that you dipped in boiling hot water and then dry with the other cloth
I'm going to try the fabric softener + water trick for washing walls. We have four big stinky dogs who love to lay against the walls around the house. From your demonstration, it looks like this concoction could be a winner! Thank you!

@@YarsRevenge67 no doubt. I always do a combination of rinsing with her technique, and breaking down the pitcher to actually dip everything in soapy water and drying.
Ice does not sharpen disposal blades, nothing does unless you take them out and sharpen them like kitchen knives. Using any blade on any type of material only dulls it. But ice does help clean food off the blades.
Sadly, I did learn this shortly after posting the video. 😕 It’s nice to get the food off so nothing is sticking to the blades but I wish there was an easier way to sharpen.
Wow that’s awesome with the dawn on the mirror. It always annoys me that my mirror is fogged up after a shower, ‘cause that’s when I need to use the mirror.
With my sheets I fold everything inside out that way when you make your bed it's all you have to do is find the first corner and start, I also fold the fitted flat and pillow case all together and put in in the other one so the whole set don't get lost.
To clean my grout i just use magic erasers. They work GREAT! Floors look brand new afterwards and it wont destroy your grout. Bonus: if u save all the old pieces from other jobs and if u wear dish washing gloves u can use those leftover pieces all the way down to a crumb. So theres no waste. Everytime i do this people walk in and ask if i got new flooring put in. Its awesome! & i hate cleaning.
At restaurant i used work at we would put ice and salt and lemon 🍋 peices or juice in glass coffee pot shake it around and dump rinse it would make the glass stains gone
I have found dawn works for most cleaning, stain remover, my grandson got a pair of very expensive jeans, a week later he was crying his pen leaked in pocket, 2 washes with dawn on the stain…all gone
I love your channel. I appreciate that you try these hacks for us so we don't have to take the time just to find out they don't work. I am obsessed with making sure my toilet and all the splatters are cleaned, it grosses me out to think of pee splatter all over the place 😬🤢
I have been in the cleaning business for over 20 years if you have wood floors please only use approved chemical and cleaners for wood or you can damage them easily any other type of flooring material it can be used
I did the fabric softener on my walls, because I heard it's supposed to repel dust. I used the fabulouso antibacterial to clean them then went back over my walls and pictures with the fabric softener and water mix. My livingroom smells so good and the scent has lasted. I don't know about the dust repellent yet, I gotta wait and see. I pray it does though.
@@RachPlusFive We live in an older house and the dust is just horrendous for some reason. I forgot to mention I vacuumed my walls first lol. That's how dusty it gets. If you know of any dust repellents or ways to eliminate dust to a minimum I would love to hear any tips.
It’s going to sound weird but it helps… Get a can of Endust. Spray it either onto the wall or on a mop or duster and wipe down the walls. It should remove all of the dust and repel dust.
The fabric softener can be used for LOTS of cleaning! Removing stains from clothing I just wet the stain with water and softener and kinda rub it I even ad some to the wash cycle to help clean cloths just ad the usual cap in washer.. carpet cleaning and stains same thing also can ad cap to carpet washing machine with the solution you use reg. 1pt softener to 2pt water to a FINE MIST spray bottle and use LIGHTLY the same way as fabreez it smells great plus when ever you need to wipe/clean your furniture it helps by protecting the fabric kinda like Scotchgard ***TEST A HIDDEN AREA 1ST TO MAKE SURE IT WON'T STAIN ON ALL THESE THINGS I MENTIONED***
Another hack for your tile grout. Take a steamer that has one of those pen or needle tips (sorry not sure what the nozzle is called) but take that and apply it over your grout. Holy Cow it cleans it amazingly
Fitted sheet folding ... laying it on the bed and working that way seemed a little extra. Hold up with hands in wrong side out corners of top and bottom. Tuck top into bottom end, then tuck side corner to side corner. Trifold then fold in and tuck into elastic.
I clean my grout with a recipe and it’s really good and works The recipe is - 7 cups water -1/2 cup baking soda -1/3 cup lemon juice -1/4 vinegar You just mix it all together in a bowl or something and then can put into a spray bottle and spray onto grout or pour straight on the grout, let is sit for about 5 or so minutes then you can scrub it with a brush and wipe away looking nice and white.
Found your channel from this playlist and i am a new scriber! Enjoyed this alot. Definitely gotta try some of these.. especially for the walls. Thanks so much for sharing.. will be watching for more! Have a great day! 🌈❤
I was taught two very important things about bleach : 1. NEVER mix bleach with another product. If your product is acidic it makes a toxic fumes. Which you breath in and your kids breath and your pets... Don't do it. 2. Bleach kills bacteria when diluted with COLD water. The colder the better. We put hot or warm water with soap to help with oily stuff, but really putting warm or hot water with bleach makes it ineffective. Also, so many hacks use baking soda and vinegar together because it makes a nice foamy thing and you think that stuff is doing something. In reality you are putting an acid on a base wich turn the whole thing neutral. Like water. Basically you are using 2 very useful products and turning them into water. Just use really hot water, add vinegar with dish soap to degrease, it is more effective. Maybe less nice to look at on UA-cam though

Hello, thank you for your channel. I would urge you not to use Tide Powder - or any other laundry detergent - for household cleaning. It contains enzymes which are meant for cleaning clothing in the closed washing machine system. They are not meant for mopping your floor and going into the air for you and your children to breathe. This can lead to enzyme sensitization and even eventual asthma. Please take this seriously, and if you would like confirmation, please call Consumer Support at any of the detergent manufacturers. Thanks.

My carpenter friend said grout goes bad over time no matter what you do and needs replaced. No way around that. Just pull out/replace. If mirror is fogging put fan on. If it doesn't disappear, do a fan check. 1 sheet of tp throw it up towards fan. If it falls. Bad fan. 1st clean it really well, try again. If it falls, replace fan.
You are just like the majority of us and seem like more of a friend giving some advice. I just joined your channel because I really like you and how u test these things out! Thanks!!! 😀
Thank you so much! That’s exactly how I want to be for my channel. I hate watching those “fake” people.

Florida Girl you look so much like me it's unreal. I subscribed to your channel an commented on the only video I could. I'm from Alabama. Not selling or wanting anything just amazed at your picture lol
@@rachelbrown8127 oh wow!!!! This is crazy!!! Will u send me a pic of u that I can see better? All I can see is the small one but yes we look alike! It’s awesome! Maybe we are related somehow or some people say that everyone has a twin out there somewhere. Who know?! That could be us! I’m so interested in knowing more about u!! I hope I hear Bach from u!! Have a great night!
I feel the same way! I love watching your channel. You always get straight to it. No stupid long back story but best of all, you look and dress like normal people do when cleaning the house. Thanks for all the hacks! Most of all thanks for being real!!
I am a new subscriber . Love your channel !
I'm a new subscriber! Love your content! The water and fabric softener hack we do here too. I also lightly spritz it on my couch and curtains and sheets and comforters too!
Hi and welcome!!! 😊❤️
essential oils in the TP roll can soak through the cardboard and into the actual toilet paper, which can be highly irritating to genitals.
I'd highly suggest not using a bleach cleaner on caulking or silicone like above the sink. Definitely don't let it sit. It'll break it down and you'll have to redo. Use baking soda or rubbing alcohol but don't let alcohol sit long either.
Yes!! She was saying grout but I believe she meant caulk.
Actually. She said it was for grout, but she didnt have any, so she was using the calk as an example.
@@gracekelehar4014 maybe my comment will help those who don't know. I did construction work for 8 years. Most people don't know not to use bleach cleaners on caulk. Also white vinegar is better for the life of grout as well.
Would not recommend putting fabric softener on walls, it’s very oily and will leave a residue to attract more dust and grime
Love the cleaning hacks all in one place! Thank you!
Thank you for watching! 😊
The blender hack is great, but there is a ring inside the base where the top seals. If you don’t pull that out and clean and the crevice, you will have mold in there.
You only need boiling hot water and 2 microfiber cloths one for cleaning and one for drying rubber gloves and a little multipurpose spray and it cleanes absolutely brilliantly
Spray the area with cleaner wipe clean with the hot microfiber cloth that you dipped in boiling hot water and then dry with the other cloth
I'm going to try the fabric softener + water trick for washing walls. We have four big stinky dogs who love to lay against the walls around the house. From your demonstration, it looks like this concoction could be a winner! Thank you!
You’re welcome! Hopefully it works for you too. 😊
It also works for helping to loosen pet hair in car fabric.

Thank you! 😊❤️
I love the smoothie maker hack. It’s weird how I’ve never thought to do that. So simple :) Thank you.. you have a new sub!
Thank you and welcome!!! 😊
I’ve used the blender hack on my own blender for 10 years.
I’ve done it for longer than I can remember and was surprised when I found it on TikTok and so many people never heard of it.
Id be more concerned with build up mold in the cup seal. It's a killer.
@@YarsRevenge67 no doubt. I always do a combination of rinsing with her technique, and breaking down the pitcher to actually dip everything in soapy water and drying.
Thank you Rach for trying these hacks.
Thank you for watching 😊
Ice does not sharpen disposal blades, nothing does unless you take them out and sharpen them like kitchen knives. Using any blade on any type of material only dulls it. But ice does help clean food off the blades.
Sadly, I did learn this shortly after posting the video. 😕 It’s nice to get the food off so nothing is sticking to the blades but I wish there was an easier way to sharpen.
Wow that’s awesome with the dawn on the mirror. It always annoys me that my mirror is fogged up after a shower, ‘cause that’s when I need to use the mirror.
It’s lasting a while too. My mirror still won’t fog in that spot days later.
Read my entry about dawn/broom in shower easy peasy
I just found your channel. Amazing. I'm a stay at home mom so my life revolves around cleaning.
Thank you!! 😊
With my sheets I fold everything inside out that way when you make your bed it's all you have to do is find the first corner and start, I also fold the fitted flat and pillow case all together and put in in the other one so the whole set don't get lost.
Use that dawn and vinegar on your shower doors. They will sparkle
I used this on the outside of my sliding glass door and it worked like a charm. No streaks!
First time here. I am amazed love this video. 👍🏾❤❤❤
Thank you! And welcome!
Thank you! I’ll definitely try that! 😊🧡
It’s amazing what all Dawn can do! 😊
Rubbing alcohol also breaks down ink.
Hairspray sprayed on white fabrics gets ink out. Pen was always leaking in my lab coat when I wotked for Dr.
I do this with pine sol. But this is the fabric softener I use
I love your channel. I appreciate that you try these hacks for us so we don't have to take the time just to find out they don't work. I am obsessed with making sure my toilet and all the splatters are cleaned, it grosses me out to think of pee splatter all over the place 😬🤢
Thank you! I’ve been burned by one too many “hacks” so I like to save people from that as much as I can. 😊
Love your channel. Your house is beautiful. What kind of mascara, do you wear that you just showed?
Thank you. It’s Lash Princess by Essence
I’m going to try the powder tide in the mopping liquid. I have never seen that one before.
Just don’t use more than a tablespoon. 😊
@@RachPlusFive ok glad you told me because I would have put in cup full to make sure my floors get extra clean 😂
To a gallon of hot water add a dash of bleach for disinfectant, and a teaspoon of powdered tide. Favorite mop water mix!
I’m so glad you tried it!! I did notice a little bit of repellent to dust but it’s not extreme.
@@RachPlusFive I will definitely try it. Thank you!
@@RachPlusFive I am going to try this...thank you
Baby oil on stainless to keep prints off. Noticed the little prints on your dishwasher 😊 loved the video
I haven’t heard that trick yet but I’m definitely going to try it. 😊
Yes I saw Dani Austin do it on her garage drink fridge. It helped a lot after it dried
Also alcohol will work
Orange oil for wood works great on most stainless and smells so much better then baby oil in the kitchen lol
The bleach hack does work but take care on the surrounding surface eg tile, to ensure it is ok to use.
I love cleaning videos…. So glad I found you.
I’m glad you found me too! 😊
Isn't fabric softener flammable though? (For the wall hack)
I love these! I’ll give them a try. And thank you for putting the disclaimer. 😊
Clean bathroom mirrors for a streak free shine wipe with shaving cream brilliant results
Love all the tiktok hacks too.
Thank you 😊
Try the fabric softener recipe on stainless steel, amazing. But you will have to wipe with a clean wet fiber cloth.
Do you think the Dawn power-wash for the mirrors would work equally well for window glass? Possibly the inside of car windows too?
I’m not sure but it’s worth a shot…
Try it I’d love to know
I need them all. Keep making these videos.
Another hack for your tile grout. Take a steamer that has one of those pen or needle tips (sorry not sure what the nozzle is called) but take that and apply it over your grout. Holy Cow it cleans it amazingly
I’ve done that and yes it’s amazing! I just have sooo much tile that it takes forever.
I use that bleach toilet cleaner in the tub/ shower for all the creases and I don’t have to scrub it at all
Fitted sheet folding ... laying it on the bed and working that way seemed a little extra. Hold up with hands in wrong side out corners of top and bottom. Tuck top into bottom end, then tuck side corner to side corner. Trifold then fold in and tuck into elastic.
Loved the bathtub cleaning hack. It works
Thank you 😊
I clean my grout with a recipe and it’s really good and works
The recipe is
- 7 cups water
-1/2 cup baking soda
-1/3 cup lemon juice
-1/4 vinegar
You just mix it all together in a bowl or something and then can put into a spray bottle and spray onto grout or pour straight on the grout, let is sit for about 5 or so minutes then you can scrub it with a brush and wipe away looking nice and white.
It’s also good on the tires and cleaning your car 🚗 , hard floor, garbages bins, etc
Found your channel from this playlist and i am a new scriber! Enjoyed this alot. Definitely gotta try some of these.. especially for the walls. Thanks so much for sharing.. will be watching for more! Have a great day! 🌈❤
Hi and thank you so much!!! 😊❤️
I was taught two very important things about bleach :
Thanks for the tips
Love your channel. Thanks for testing these!
Thank you 😊
I’ve tried the bleach cleaner against molding and grout. It worked great for the grout but it also took off some of the paint from the wall. 😕
That’s odd about the paint. Maybe it’s not scrubbable paint or isn’t sealed?
I will definitely be trying some of these hacks out
I want to see someone do that sheet folding hack with a king size fitted sheet!!
I sadly don’t have a king sized bed in my house 😕
It can be done. I’ve been doing similar (not folding into itself though, that was a little different but interesting and I’m gonna have to try) anyway I told our king size sheets similar and I’ve only got one arm! So if I can do it anyone can 😉
You and me both.
I've watched so many cleaning videos and I love your hacks the best
Thank you! 😊
Can’t get enough of these videos. Soooo good!!

😯 Need to re-mop my bathroom floor and SEAL THE GROUT! Used Soft Scrub with bleach (bleach comes in it) once this summer. Thanks.
The Hack about keeping the mirror fog-free I had known it being applied for the car windshield (it wasn’t specifically with Dawn when I knew about it).
Looks like im gonna be sticking up on my favorites fabric softner and im gonna clean the walls and everything. Clean linen is my favorite smell id love my house smelling like clean laundry. Thanks for the goid hacks
Old fashioned shaving cream (Not gel) on the mirror the same way as the dawn power wash does the same thing and a $1 can will do your mirror multiple times
I heard that about the shaving cream but haven’t tried it yet… now it’s my list. Thank you. 😊
Ohhhh it’s less expensive! Thank you.
It will also take stains out of carpet but do a test spot first
Warming the vinegar or the water you dilute it with,, is more effective on hard water stains than if cold.
Great video!❤
Thank you 😊
Its so very helpful to know all about this💓💓💓

Hello, thank you for your channel. I would urge you not to use Tide Powder - or any other laundry detergent - for household cleaning. It contains enzymes which are meant for cleaning clothing in the closed washing machine system. They are not meant for mopping your floor and going into the air for you and your children to breathe. This can lead to enzyme sensitization and even eventual asthma. Please take this seriously, and if you would like confirmation, please call Consumer Support at any of the detergent manufacturers. Thanks.
I did not know that you could do that with a blender! I've hated using the blender this whole time because I hate cleaning it. I will try to like my blender again. Thank you! 😭

Remember to clean cold air return vents and hot air vents. Vacuum vents first and between cleaning.
The furnace area where the filter goes.
Window screens should be washed, I also vacuum them during good weather. Between cleaning.
More good ones to add!
Also, clean your vacuum and it’s filter. 😊
Folding the fitted sheet was amazing
I tried that fitted sheet hack...guess I'll just stick with wadding them up! Lol
Haha it took me a couple tries to figure it out.
This is why I watch this instead of TikTok hacks , because I don’t want to watch something that’s not even going to work or mess something up. I read all the backs of bottles/ labels ( I’ve always done this ) but some of these are just hacks so you don’t really know what can happen if you use the wrong product & I rent, so my landlord would be upset for sure. Tho my husband could fix something like the grout ,but our landlord prefers to do it himself and charge extra for his time and whatever the cost for the stuff to fix it. I do have TikTok and still enjoy watching from time to time, but I’d much rather watch videos like yours here on UA-cam. Thanks for all the amazing hacks ☺️

9:10 also remove the rubber stopper from the sink of the garbage disposal and clean it. It should just pop out and the you just push it back down when you are done cleaning it, there should be a lip inside the drain it sits on.
Mine doesn’t come out, I’ve tried numerous times. 😕
The sheets I've been doing since a kid. My mom taught me that. Then I put the whole set into the pillow case so I just grab all in one shot!
That is imp to keep bathroom mold free. Don't underestimate a working fan in b/r! Or u might be ripping bathroom apart bc of mold in corners and damaging walls/,floors. Get best fan u can afford. More power is best
I never thought about checking my bathroom fan! Thank you for this! 😊
@@RachPlusFive I never gave a thought about fans either. He checked my fan. Dead. And replaced with better than what u need for space. I never get a fogged mirror now. Best way to clean fan is vacuum. He has redone lots of bathrooms.
