Great list son & not surprisingly I knew a lot of your list. Always enjoy being mentioned on our ventures in all these movies. Love you, Really enjoyed the video!
I don't comment on a ton of videos in general, but I just want to say that I'm a big fan of the channel and go back to your reviews and rankings constantly, even if it's for background noise. Keep up the great work, man.
Michael Keaton's original last name actually was Douglas, he changed it when he became an actor because there was already an actor named Michael Douglas. So you're technically correct on accident.
Also, Michael "Wall Street" Douglas didn't go by "Mike Douglas" because, at the time he started his career, there was a talk/variety show host with that name. For a sample, it's helpful to watch 1981's "Incredible Shrinking Woman".
Been watching through top 50 lists, I've done the horror, just finished this one and just about to start the action. But it's a breath of fresh air to actually watch lists that aren't saturated with the same paint by numbers 'best' movies over and over. The fact these are your own honest preferences already makes the lists so much more refreshing. Also you're the first person I have seen that's ever highlighted Tommy Boy, Multiplicity, Girl Next Door as well as Stir Of Echoes and Frailty on your horror list, automatically makes you one of my favourite people on UA-cam as these are all highly underrated movies that 'nobody' talks about, that I absolutely love. So keep up the good work 👍
Man, great 50! It's evident we grew up in the same generation watching these gems. Great call on giving Bedazzled the spotlight, and the scene from Dirty Work with Chris Farley at the jukebox I had forgotten about, had me laughing my ass off. All in all, thank you for this! Was surprised to not see Superbad though! Take care man.

Can you imagine if John Candy and Chris Farley ever got to meet and be paired together in a movie. Omg that would be an instant classic pairing and thinking about it makes me giddy and sad at the same time knowing we'll never get it because they both left us too soon.
I made a side list of the movies I haven’t seen! Cannot wait for the next couple of big ones! Every movie recommendation I’ve gotten from you have been some of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Rudderless and Frailty were the first! Keep kicking ass Cody!!
American Pie 2 holds a very special place in my heart.. I was in 8th grade & was able to sneak into the theater to watch it with some friends, including some ladies… some viewing experiences you just never forget 😊

Great list Cody! You really broke out some under appreciated gems in there. The Way Way Back has great performances from Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell. I would have Tommy Boy, My Cousin Vinny and Planes, Trains & Automobiles in my top 10 also. Fun fun list.
So glad to see you have Tommy Boy in your Top 5! Chris Farley was such a talented man taken away too soon!!!! He had so much potential for future films!!!! I feel that Kevin James wouldn’t even have a career had Farley not passed away.
@@bratosin1 Anything with Chris Farley RIP is hilarious. Even the dude that played Lui Kang in Mortal Kombat is in Beverly Hills Ninja which makes it even better.

Love seeing Saving Silverman, The Way Way Back, and Sex Drive on here. Underrated as hell. I agree on American Pie 2. I've always loved it more than the first one.

Can I just say that I loved seeing Bedazzled, Encino Man, K-9 getting some love here! American Pie was THE movie of my teenage years. If Scream was the horror movie that defined my teenage years, American Pie was the teen comedy. I just watched it recently, maybe a month ago, and I STILL laugh. Wedding Crashers...I laughed so hard all the way through that one and its where I gained and appreciation for Vince Vaughan. SO much yes for My Cousin Vinny and I was thrilled to see Tommy Boy make your top five because I will stop and watch that ANY time it comes on. You included SO many of mine, but a few I would add...Tropic Thunder, Role Models, Ski Patrol ( If you haven't seen it give it a chance. Paul Fieg, before he got involved in directing, stars in it with Leslie Jordan, Martin Mull, and Ray Wilson (Mr. Hand). Its a LOT of fun. I think you would enjoy it for what it is. Came out in the early 90s so its that era of stupid comedy. ) Noises Off (The cast is SPECTACULAR in this), and Due Date.
Thanks Cody, loads of movies I've never even heard of... gonna check out a bunch esp Dutch... Loved seeing My Cousin Vinny in your top ten... Agree with your view on PT&A, and I add Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Ruthless People to my annual viewings
Death at a Funeral(Chris Rock), Joe's apartment (Jerry Oconnell), Naked Gun, Airplane, Animal House, Waiting, Clerks, Beavis and Butthead do America, South Park bigger and larger, Clerks, Bad Words (Jason Batemen) and Raw (Eddie Murphy 1980's stand up)
Mostly, a great list, but that version of "Death At A Funeral" is a remake. Oddly, the original came out only a couple of years earlier. Guess someone wanted to make it more "inclusive".
My top 10 1. The hangover 2. Dumb and dumber 3. Wedding crashers 4. Return of the living dead 5. Kingpin 6. Talladega nights 7. Dodgeball 8. Friday 9. Austin powers the spy who shagged me 10. Planes, trains, and automobiles
Some of my favourites: Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Groundhog Day, Beetlejuice, Naked Gun 1&2, Monty Python movies, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Liar Liar, Dumb and Dumber, Scary Movie 2 (yes, I like it), Back to the Future trilogy, Trains Planes and Automobiles, Frighteners and Galaxy Quest. Haven't seen My Cousin Vinny in a long time, need to check it asap.
BLUE STREAK still hokd my movie theater watching records with 8 times (and that 8 times is even crazier cause it was 8 daya ina row 🤣) that i went to see it... i was 12-13 when it came out back them...
My Top 15 15. Elf 14. Coming to America 13. Ace Ventura 12. Talladega Nights 11. Dumb and Dumber 10. Friday 09. Boy 08. Austin Powers 2 07. My Cousin Vinny 06. Wedding Singer 05. Groundhog Day 04. Big 03. 21 Jump Street 02. Monty Python and the Holy Grail 1. Tropic Thunder
Me Myself and Irene, Dum and Dummer, Liar Liar, Airplane!, Raising Arizona, Top Secret, Naked Gun, Scary Movie, Animal House, Trading Places, Vacation, Christmas Vacation, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Scrooged, Young Frankenstein...some super gut busters for me.
I was hoping to hear u comment on each movie. I know it would've been a longer video but it would be worth it. I'm glad to see The Great Outdoors on here. It's in my top 5 fave comedies of all-time.
Timothy Olyphant in Girl next door is amazing. Great list, few to check out Chef, My cousin Vinnie, Dutch, Tommy Boy and midnight run getting love as well, awesome. Cody have you seen My blue heaven with Steve Martin? 'The pavement was his enemy' haha
My top 12 Comedy Movies of the 1990s: 12. Naked Gunn 2 1/2 11. Wayne World 10. Addams Family 9. Robin Hood: Mean in tights 8. Swingers 7. Office Space 6. Happy Madison 5. The Big Lebowski 4. American Pie 3. Tommy Boy 2. Austin Powers: the spy who shagged me 1. Dumb & Dumber
Joey Pants [that's what we called him in high school] was in drama classes all 4 years in school. He was a pretty good actor then and would always get the lead role in any of the plays put on by the drama club. Even though he's 3,500 miles away we still stay in touch, he's a very close friend. We were locker partners in gym class and he still owes me 2 pair of socks I let him borrow.
Oh my God Cody! A lot of ur list i wasn't really feeling, but the fact that u put Midnight Run at #1.... FUCK YES! It's in my top 5 movies of any genre of all time. So underrated. So many laughs & also many touching beautiful moments. & the chemistry between Deniro & Grodin is magical. Phenomenal film.
Enjoyed the list. Some of them I hadn’t heard of but will probably check them out sometime. The Dream Team and Taking Care of Business are another couple of movies I loved but aren’t talked about much.
Hey brother! I was re-watching this to get some ideas for comedies and I really want to watch Dutch but can't find it anywhere on streaming! Do you happen to know if it's anywhere at all on streaming or do you have the physical media??
Shocked there was no old school. I just remember you loving it when talking about it on ur movies that need a sequel video. I personally am a huge Superbad fan! Great list tho! Gonna haven check out a few I haven’t seen
My top 10, 10. Planes, trains and automobiles 9. The naked gun 33 1/3 8. Talladega knights, the ballad of Ricky bobby 7. Hot fuzz 6. Spaceballs 5. Happy Gilmore 4. Blue streak 3. The Simpson's movie 2. Dumb and dumber 1. Tropic thunder
I know a lot of people don't like to sit through long videos which is understandable but I would think everyone that follows and subscribes would be an avid movie fan and would want to see a full on movie list of favorites. I can't even narrow it down to just 50. I would have to do a top 100 because there's just too many great films out there that narrowing it down to just 50 seems heartbreaking to leave films off the list and what I would do is just break it up into two parts where you have the top 51-100 & then the top 50 with a quick recap of the top 100 in the first video. That's just me though. I appreciate that you give the underappreciated underrated films so much love because I'm the same way and a majority of these films I've seen and also love. A lot of them would make my top 100. Top 50 would be a lot harder and a bit different but a good amount of these would be in my top 100 for sure. One film I'm really surprised to not see on your list because it's right up your alley is The Last American Virgin. It's very possible that you don't know about this one or never seen it and if that's the case you definitely need to check it out. It's one of those old 80s underrated underappreciated overlooked lost comedies that is definitely one of the best of the bunch and still holds up. It's full on 80s but that's part of its appeal. Basically if Fast Times At Ridgemont High, There's Something About Mary and American Pie had a baby this film would be their creation and considering it came before all of them you could say none of those films would exist without The Last American Virgin. I was very thankful and blessed to have found out about it at a very young age thanks to my dad. It's on blu ray. It's in my collection and it has one of the most unexpected and realistic endings not just of a comedy but of a movie and it really doesn't give you a cookie cutter type of story. It's very grounded and realistic while also being raunchy, hilarious, tackling several different issues and things teenagers go through and it shows you all the ups and downs. It's such a great film and the fact it came out in the 80s and tells such a compelling story with a lot of heart and emotion while also balancing the comedy and raunchiness is a testament to how rare this film is and I definitely think you should check it out. I think you will be thoroughly surprised that you may have never heard about it or watched it until now. If you see this comment and finally do decide to watch it, send me a comment here and then do a review on it.
Secret Admirer, Dirty Work, and Midnight Run are 3 movies (among others of course) I've tried to introduce to friends and family over the years, thanks for mentioning those, good to know I'm not alone!
THIS IS A GREAT LIST MAN! i agree with American Pie, Encino Man, American Pie 2 (and yes i agree its better than the 1st but i still really love the first) Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, The 40 year old virgin, THOSE ARE ALL AMAZING MAN! i love the stuff you put out and also some of the stuff on your list now gives me ideas on what comedy movies that i havent seen that i need to for instants Fast Times at Ridgemont high, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, Saving silverman and MORE but i got a question and this list is your opinion but still just wondering where's Superbad like thats prob my favorite comedy but i dont know i just thought it would be on here but its your opinion and I STILL RESCPECT IT ALL!

Yes!!!!!!!!
I was gonna tell him that too. Beat me to it
Also, Michael "Wall Street" Douglas

Awesome list! Sooo many movies I've forgotten about. Movies I were surprised that weren't here: the naked gun, the jerk, blazing saddles
Can you imagine if John Candy and Chris Farley ever got to meet and be paired together in a movie. Omg that would be an instant classic pairing and thinking about it makes me giddy and sad at the same time knowing we'll never get it because they both left us too soon.
I work a night job at a hotel. Thanks for helping me get through another shift. Definitely rewatching to take notes.
Dude, I'm down for this long form stuff. I enjoy your vids, you kick ass. Keep it up.
Thank you for giving Midnight Run the attention it deserves. I adore this film. Every actor brings so much great comedic delivery to the party.
Thank you. Midnight Run is a classic.
Thank you for recommending Dutch, Secret Admirer, Dirty work & Money Talks, never seen them before and really enjoyed them.
Awesome!
Been checking everyday to see when u were gonna start to drop these hell yeah let’s go!!!
Damn man, you got me. Subscribed. You don't know how many movies on this list I was looking for, but forgot the name. Good list!
You fingerblasted em?
Awesome video man! Love seeing all the love for John Candy! He was great and very missed! Hope for more top 50 videos!
Great list! I agree with most of your picks. Tommy Boy and Planes Trains and Automobiles are definitely in my Top 5 also. Both are comedy classics that I never get tired of.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles isn’t only the best comedy ever, but the best movie ever

Good short list 👍🏻
Great list
home alone is not a comedy
Check out kung fu hustle
Step Brothers is #1. Having this movie ranked at 32 completely discredits this whole channel.
Beverly hills ninja I believe is better than Tommy
@@bratosin1 Anything with Chris Farley RIP is hilarious. Even the dude that played Lui Kang in Mortal Kombat is in Beverly Hills Ninja which makes it even better.
Superbad; Blazing Saddles; Monty Python and the Holy Grail; Monty Python's Meaning of Life; Real Genius; Beavis & Butthead Do America and others.......

Thumbs up for Mrs.Doubtfire!!! I watched it last night for the first time and loved it!!!
The one line you used to feature #48 here is pretty much the one I quote most from that movie to this day.
Love seeing Saving Silverman, The Way Way Back, and Sex Drive on here. Underrated as hell.
I agree on American Pie 2. I've always loved it more than the first one.
American Pie 2 is my favorite of the franchise. I love Saving Silverman. Watching it makes me want Arby's. Lol
@@heatherryan3969 Saving Silverman is a hilarious comedy! Not a fan of Arbys though.

Bro that is amazing you put Girl next door up on there, absolutely love that film I replayed it many times!
Blazing Saddles, Big Trouble in Little China and Blues Brothers would be my top 3
Dude I’m sooooo with you on Dutch, one of my favs since I was a kid and I feel like nobody knows what it is! The fireworks scene is the best!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shout out to you Cody for mentioning Money Talks, people forget how good that movie is!
Yes! Love for Dutch! Totally agree about this movie! Did not expect that one. Fantastic list!
Hey Cody, glad you had the movie multiplicity on this list. Dutch was great too. Thanks for the entertainment man!!
Cody, first of all, Great list man! Second, the transitions in this video were awesome!
Great work man!
No Mel brooks movies ? Young Frankenstein, blazing saddles, space balls
Crazy stupid love is now one of my favorites thanks to your recommendation.
Death at a Funeral(Chris Rock), Joe's apartment (Jerry Oconnell), Naked Gun, Airplane, Animal House, Waiting, Clerks, Beavis and Butthead do America, South Park bigger and larger, Clerks, Bad Words (Jason Batemen) and Raw (Eddie Murphy 1980's stand up)
Mostly, a great list, but that version
of "Death At A Funeral" is a remake.
Oddly, the original came out
only a couple of years earlier.
Guess someone wanted
to make it more "inclusive".
Not a huge fan of comedy so I gotta say not a video I’m interested in but I still gonna drop by give it a like and comment and support the man himself

When is there going to be a review for Planes, Trains And Automobiles?
1hr?! Time to get some snacks
Very awesome 👍 ranking video Cody 💯
Oh my God Cody! A lot of ur list i wasn't really feeling, but the fact that u put Midnight Run at #1.... FUCK YES! It's in my top 5 movies of any genre of all time. So underrated.
