TIL my DIY risers suck because the pitch automation is supposed to plateau lol. For anyone doing the reverse reverb technique on vocals I recommend doing it in this order: Take Sample Reverse it Insert reverb, 100% wet w/ long decay Bounce/Render it Reverse again. It’s great because it makes the ‘fading in’ vocal actually intelligible (since you reversed the audio twice)
Your tutorials are so helpful. Not only for this genre but you also explain everything detailed and in depth so it gives more understanding how things work. Keep up doing what you do!
_One thing that sounds good too is if you convert your riser to audio but only if it’s about 2 bars in length, divide into 8 sections & rearrange them randomly. 🎹🏆🎼🎵 Just a cool thing I use as background noise in a breakdown sometimes. Love the tutorial. Real helpful!_
Hi Alice. So funny. Yesterday evening while I was working on a new track, I was thinking about how to make a better sounding snare-roll. This morning I discovered your video where you starting with exactly this. Thanks a lot for the (as always) great tutorials.
tip on the part with the 2 auto filters you can do this with one knob using the free XFER DJM filter its emulating the filter on a pioneer mixer so not only do you get one knob killing highs pre 12 o'clock it kills lows post 12 o'clock with 1 knob and your getting that pioneer sound added too which is a vibe in electronic music
Hi Alice, some awesome tips and tricks. I have been lazy in the past and not created my own sounds but the resampling from sounds in the track really makes a massive difference. Once again thank you for your time and effort, and sharing your experience with us. :)
I hope you finished this build up into a song because it’s an actual rager! That tension makes me feel I’m about to be unleashed from a cannon. Cannot wait to try this principles in my own productions. Thank you so much 😭❤️
Very nice tutorials and I will take certain parts to my production. I knew there are ways to do those things but when you have limited time and you are lazy as I am....So thanks!
Shout out to those 42% of viewers who are not subscriber. It is just a click away! (Ok, it sounds like a scam advertisement, but it's not and it is to support this amazing channel and the equally amazing person who made it)
Awesome, that gives me some really nice ideias to map some of its parameters to my Midi devices for some great live effects! That's all about creativity 😎
Alice! Excellent as usual, thanks for another inspiring and informative video :-) However, if I could just throw my tuppence in the pot. I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally would prefer it if you adopted a slightly less hectic style of video editing. I find a lot of these fast chops to be a bit disconcerting and aurally unpleasant. I frequently find myself rewinding your clips because I'm not certain that I've heard or understood you properly. That's just my personal take on content that I otherwise find to be always entertaining and enlightening. Thanks for all your hard work
You are the best, you are so full of music knowledge. You are definitely a music genius. I think you would get way more subscribers if you do an alternative to Ableton plugins because we don't all use Ableton
If you know your DAW and 3rd party plugins, you can use this new knowledge, because all the stock and 3rd party plugins are equal in a way. If someone can't -> read the manual and get to know how everything works.
Your links don’t work for me. I am on iPad and have safari and google chrome installed as browsers but for some reason the links send me to a page saying I need to update my browser. Never had this issue before. When I try to update something it doesn’t work.

I think this was the first tip i ever learned like 12 years ago lmao
I never understood how to do the resampling until now.. thank you for how clear and easy to follow these videos are
Happy to hear that, cheers Yanick!

I always shy away from crafting builds but all these tips have me inspired and I can't wait to incorporate them! thanks for great knowledge!
Your "High Score" on your little picture in picture frame, should be much higher than just 100, more like 10,000 at least.

That tip about using the freeze reverb on a synth to create a sweep is golden. 👍
The drop is so satisfying after the buildups towards the end of the video, thanks for the tutorial once again!
Happy to hear that. cheers! 😊

Video has clear title and starts immediately with good and solid info. Thank you.
I screamed when you said “I think it’s important reaching the top of the sound slightly before it ends” bc I also do that

hi all Alice ! Thanks a lot, could you tell us how you made your big lead into this track ? Sounds amazing. Thanks
Now I'm curious if Alice ever experiences writers block. 🤔
Very good tips :) I make music with modular and this is very helpful to finish the track :)
Good luck with finishing up the track! 😊
Great video! I hope I can translate this to FL Studio somehow, but I'll definitely think about this in the future :D
Really great videooo! You have a lot but, new suscriptor here!
Pretty good thank you
It hit different when a beautiful woman is into production. Very rare but so good to see
Can you please make a video on what LFO is and what it does? How to use it... thank you so much.
Thanks !
Hello Alice. in the accentuation part when you made one of the notes shorter, does this affect the sample since in it once shot mode ?
The first snare isn’t a ‘classic analogue snare’ - it’s a digital snare sample from the TR707 😎 Good video though (as usual) 👍
Sick
Thx 4 that! 🙏
Amazing Alice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤
I know you work in Ableton but it would be super awesome to see some of these techniques used in a Logic session. Possible?
Thanks for the tipps 🎉
Where can I get the whole song? I love it 🥰
It is not released yet, but I will release it next year. 😊
@@Alice-Efe awesome ✨ I'm looking forward to it.
I think instead of 2 filters you could just use a low cut and a high cut on EQ Eight and automate the frequency
Thx Alice
WHere can I find your music releases? Under which name(s) do you release?
thanks xx
i did subscribe, lady, success for you.
Top notch!!!
Fantastic video! I'm stuck at the part where you resample the synth track with the reverb... when I try it, nothing gets recorded. Any ideas?
Never mind, figured it out. Thanks! :D
Great video…. How does your ableton reverb look so different???😮

I have no idea, this never happened before. But maybe you can try manually typing mercurialtones.com and see if that works?
@@Alice-Efe will try thank you.
Autofilter has a built in lfo, is there a particular reason to add another one?
It is easier to illustrate with extra LFO as it is very visual but I also needed more than one LFO in the example as well.
