This was a great video. Got immediately to the point, and also went in depth. Thank you.
How long u have to let the paint dry before wet sanding
Looking so good Dale . Keep up the great work .
Thank you
Awesome thanks dude!
Great advice ,, that’s definitely 👍🏽 how you do it ,,, great video 😎

Thanks!
OMG it's so satisfying , job will don🤩
Thanks. I’ve got a bunch of it done
Great job my friend.
Thank you!
Glad you decided to get rid of the orange peel. 😅
Thanks. It’s looking much better
I've used a finish sander with interface pad on curves and my edges I tape off
Looks good! Just wondering how long did you let it cure before fixing the orange peel look? Just finished painting my car for the first time and have it on most surfaces
how to fix orange peel is on the base coat but the painter already sprayed clear coat. my case is complicated here help
What’s your opinion on painting a Jeep with raptor liner , I see many folks doing it , do you see any negative points on the subject or positive points? I would love to hear your wisdom on the subject. I love the videos thanks for your hard work God bless you and your family.
I think it may work well if done right, but I’m not sure I like the look
I got some questions about my 89 yj that I can’t seem to find answers to. Perhaps you could be of assistance. I have a 4.2 L and I want to change the dizzy to an hei but I need to switch the computer and wiring but I don’t know what year and style.
I haven't dont that on a 4.2 carberated engine, but your new hei should come with wiring instructions. One thing I'm not clear on, why would it require you to switch the computer? Maybe a good upgrade for my stroker later
What kind of pad did you use on the polisher? Was it a polishing pad in general or just a higher grit pad? Im painting my honda right now and need this info lol the whole video was amazing btw
It’s just a standard polishing sponge pad.
How long did you let the paint cure? Will this work on metallic paint?
If your paint is single stage, no. You will spread the metallic flakes when doing it and ruin the metallic finish.
Why do I see so many different types of grit being used for this job? 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. 1000, 1500, 3000, 5000, etc. Why? Why so many variations on the same method? No video about this process is the same lol.
Different grits do different things. The lower the number, the more rough it is. The higher the number, the more Fine it is. You generally use a lower grit like a 320 to sand off thicker paint to create a level surface, then move to higher numbers to "refine" the surface, essentially like polishing. So like a lower grit like a 200 will leave a lot of scratches when you're done sanding. Which Is harder to paint over as the scratches will show easier. So you would want to go over it with an 800 grit to refine the area and smoothen out those scratches. Think of the grit numbers like, 200 grit=200 grains of sand per square inch, and 1000 grit is 1000 grains of sand per square inch.
What if you added clear to a single stage
no sanding then, its gonna look good but for long.
can i use a clear coat instead of polishing?
Adding clear coat won’t get rid of the orange peel
@@JeepSolideven if i sand paper it like the video?
@@deltavibez245you just need to prep it with lower grit paper, but you cant be sure its gonna come out without orange peel again, so its better to sand it and polish, especially if its a new paintjob.
Can i only use 1500 Grit sand paper To remove Orange peel😊
Yes. Just may need more polishing compound
@@JeepSolidFrom which sandpaper we have to start and what will be the last sandpaper
too much paste
Don't use so much polish. But it looks great..
