There are so many Lego channels to pick from but yours hits the sweet spot between quality and content and has quickly become my favorite. Well done on the growth, looking forward to seeing what comes!
Brother, your retro review series brings me back to a simplier time in my life, and for that you have my thanks. Glad to see ya growing, you deserve it!
Out of all the channels that talk about Retro LEGO, yours has the highest production quality, so subscribing was a no-brainer for me. I'd love to see the rest of the Aquazone and Adventurers subthemes, and I can recommend a whole list of other classic subthemes that I (and probably many others) would love to see!
You've become my favourite recent Lego UA-camr, and I'm glad that I'm not the only one to see the quality and positiveness of your content. I come from the same generation, but I didn't have much lego in my childhood days. So it's good to have the experience of it even second-handed from someone who shares the same passion and even some of the memories playing with these sets. I enjoy you retro series as much as your behind the scenes videos. Keep up, sir!
I love when creators share insight into their YT analytics! Your channel deserves all the growth and success! I think the key is consistent uploads, quality, and passion for what you do. Your channel does all these things seamlessly and I’m hoping when I have more time I can get back to uploading again myself. Keep up all the great work, you’ll be 1 million subs before you know it!
One of the worst things about the small LEGO UA-camr is when you create a video that you think is phenomenal and a video you think that will get decent views! And then it flops. I love the transparency in this video though! Absolutely fantastic
I know that it was your Adventurers video that caught my eye, then after a couple days I came back to check out the western and Harry Potter videos when that was uploaded. It was nice to watch such high quality and personal charming videos about these older themes, some that I knew and absolutely love like Bionicle, and on others like Time Cruisers that I had never heard of. When you put out the 1999 Star Wars video I was so excited because its nice to see such a well loved theme at its beginning from a new perspective. It even inspired me to go to Bricklink and get my own Darth Vader Tie fighter vs Y-wing set, since I had been wanting to get a Y-wing and never having one as a kid, but I couldn't decide on which model and year. Then your video showed me what you thought was the best, and it came with another ship, so it was set in stone for me. Now that I have that set I am so in love with an old classic that I can now enjoy. Keep up these quality videos because they are a great new addition to look forward to every weekend, like an old Saturday cartoon you get to watch, being young and in awe at how amazing the work is. If you start doing some classic space or pirates themes I will most likely have to get whatever sets you enjoy from those as well, because they are from an era of LEGO that I only got to see but never collect myself. Once you reach your one year mark we are all going to celebrate with you.
You're doing amazing! I've been at this for a couple of years (albeit with fewer videos) and only recently hit 2000 subs. You're gonna be in an incredible place this time next year!
You were kicking out high quality content from day one. I'm excited to see how great things'll be when this is your primary income stream. Really cool to see the breakdown and wishing you an even better 2025.
Great work, very positive uplifting Lego channel with high quality filming, editing and commentary! So happy you decided to do it! Keep it up and hope this will grow, already subscribed and watching all videos 🥰
Great Job! I'm happy to see your growth! I've been doing UA-cam for 2 years and made over 200 videos and have 329 subscribers! hope to have this kind of success eventually too!
As a filmmaker, I very much appreciate the production of your videos! Thoughtful and funny voice-over, entertaining and quality workmanship, original approach and choice of topics... A big compliment indeed! I want to ask if you plan to cover topics like classic Pirates, classic Castle, Islanders, classic Space, Orient expedition in your Retro Lego series? Thanks and have fun!
Kudos, and thanks for the transparency. I have to say, this is both more than I expected, but also way below what one would think (as in, nice to have, bit not enough to be a full time job). It's interesting to see the quirks behind the scene, and have to admit my favourite videos of yours are indeed the retrospective ones, though I also like the others 🙂. By the way, something strikes me during the opening: to be able to take that shit from inside the flat of the Assembly Square flat, you must have had to break some walls... Can't imagine all the efforts that go into each of the scenes like that!
Hey man, genuinely thanks for putting this video out! I will be launching a UA-cam channel later this month to coincide with the release of a certain video game and I've been wondering what the hurtles are going to be. Luckily, channels like your own, RR Slugger, and many others serve as inspiration and guides. I have literally 0 expectations with my upcoming channel, I'm just doing it for fun. Don't be mistaken, though. I am putting in real work to make quality content. Keep an eye out for a video on a certain Valve title realsed 20 years ago...
I stumbled upon your channel one day and really loved your insight into the same retro themes I loved as a kid. Your narration, scripting, and editing is top tier, and truly feels like a high quality commercial production. I think within short time you will become one of the most successful LEGO UA-camrs! If you don’t mind me asking, what is your career field outside UA-cam?
Thank you so much for the insight! I have a question about how you choose your upload date and time. I am personally trying out different moments to post a video. UA-cam provides a graph when your current views are (often) online. Do you post within that window or right before that? Or do you have different strategy all together?
I primarily use the graph you mentioned, which tends to point to Saturday or Sunday mornings for my audience. I’ve also learned from comments that people have begun to expect videos on Sunday morning. Though, if I’m doing something more time sensitive like a review, I just upload it as soon as I’m finished.
@@keltondavisLEGO Could we please get some Indiana Jones? maybe even some more Harry Potter and SW... I know there's many interesting themes in LEGO, but I crave those hahahah keep up the great work!
I’ve been trying to get monetized for 2 years and still haven’t got there unfortunately. I’m at 2,399 watch hours out of 3,000 to unlock fan funding features! Just like you putting all your heart and soul into the desert sub theme, I just did the same but with the Animal Crossing theme. I would appreciate it if you could take a moment to give me feedback on it.
Super cool thanks for sharing! You’ve got at least one guaranteed view on most of your videos in me! How big of an impact do “likes” make on this? If any.
I think likes certainly help a video get pushed in the algorithm, but I’ve seen some really high like ratios that haven’t really gone all that far. I find that click through rate is the best metric for gauging performance.
No magic formula, but I strongly believe that if you make content that YOU would enjoy, and strive to improve your video skills with each upload, you'll find an audience.
It's a little complicated, but I'll try to explain best I can. UA-cam takes 45% of the total revenue from your channel. You keep 55%. CPM is calculated based on every 1000 AD VIEWS on your videos, while RPM is based on your revenue for every 1000 VIEWS on your videos, regardless of whether they were served an ad. Thus, your RPM can (and very often does) equal less than 55% of CPM, because not every raw view constitutes an ad view. Hope that makes sense!
Your growth in less than a year is impressive and shows how great and high quality your videos are already as a new channel
Thank you! This whole thing has greatly exceeded my expectations and I can’t believe how supportive everyone has been.
There are so many Lego channels to pick from but yours hits the sweet spot between quality and content and has quickly become my favorite. Well done on the growth, looking forward to seeing what comes!

I love the transparency in this video though! Absolutely fantastic
I KNOW the feeling! It seems that sometimes our lowest efforts are the ones that get rewarded 😂
Yeah that whole problem put me off from uploading for such a long time
Nice video! Keep up the quality content, and you're going to reach thousands of subscribers and ad revenues in no time!
Here’s hoping! Thank you so much.
I appreciate the transparency! Thank you for your videos and congratulations to your well earning success!🎉
Thank you! I love sharing behind the scenes anecdotes, so these types of transparent videos are a natural result.
