Advantages of watching your videos with my kids: the two oldest decided to clean our car today. They removed some bits of trash, vacuumed the seats and carpets, and tried to clean the interior plastics with some cleaner and cleaning cloths. They came back in and told me they had been pretending to be Detail Geeks. It wasn't 100% perfect, but pretty good for an 8 and 7 year old!
Several firsts for this channel: APC on exterior paint, chisel on carpet (a screwdriver was used for ice before), shop vac. Still only 10 hours total to get this car looking good. "Only" because everything is relative here and that was a lot of work in that time. Those reveal images are the best plug for The Yard Geek, watching that bare land become what we see here. ❤
I've recently seen other detailing channels that suggest mixing APC into your regular snow foam for routine maintenance washes. I still think that's crazy and completely unnecessary. Only in the most extreme situations like this would APC on paint be appropriate, and Mitch backs that up.
I use a pet grooming needle brush to remove hard to get crusty stuff when vacuuming rugs. It fluffy the carpet allowing the vacuum to remove the deeply embedded stuff.
I really love seeing the owners reaction to their vehicle when they see it for the first time after your loving touch. Wish you bring that part back to your videos.
Mitch…I think your mantra is “The Miracle Worker of Detailing”! As always, a pleasure to watch and an inspiration to keep our cars as clean as possible! Have a great weekend!
This one blew me away!!! I have a drill brush set and they ARE A LIFE CHANGER!! I have seen ground in dirt but this was measurably heavy and it's unbelievable that you were able to extract this without resorting to complete removal and a pressure washer.
I will be honest I really thought you had met the car you could not clean! This is one of those times I am glad to be wrong. Mitch, you have raised the bar again! Fantastic and awesome do not even come close. That was fun to watch, thanks.
That outside dirt that wouldn’t come off very easily was probably dust control. I had that issue with all my vehicles when I lived in my acreage. Fantastic clean up on this one!
Hey Mitch? As a weekend warrior not near your level, I've always used the 25° nozzle on my pressure washer. I just realized that I had no reason TO use it versus one of the others. Can you go over that in one of your up coming videos? What the differences in the nozzles are and why you would use one over the other? Hope you do! Thanks! Also... I've seen some mud come out of cars but never with a CHISEL!!! Great job!!!
So question…in cases like this, wouldn’t it be better/easier to just remove the carpeting and clean it outside the vehicle? It would allow you to vacuum out all the dirt underneath it as well. Just curious as I’ve seen other detailers do this. But awesome job! Always amazed at the results you get!
10:39 My Favorite Song, I like to be Diligent, Eccentric, and Healthy with a Soft, Smooth Voice, and having Plenty of Water, Nutritious Foods, and Healthy Juices 💜💜
That was incredible!!! I can't believe how you were able to get all of that mud off the floors and doors. This is definitely one of the best videos you've posted!
That reveal shot at the end was well timed during the day! Not sure how this will affect your workflow but you should do the reveal shots during golden hour in the afternoon or in the morning.
Seriously though some previous owner thought using the Subaru was a good idea for a work vehicle. I honestly was so shocked seeing the interior looking filthy. But man Mitch you always come through. What a transformation on the car well done
That was a miraculous transformation, I seriously am astonished in your work in every video you make. So good!! Have a great weekend and it’s Friday the 13th…😅
I found doing a double foam wash works great with stuck on dirt. After the initial rinse, spray on the foam wash, let it set for 5 minutes, rinse it off, spray on the foam again, then do the contact wash.
Good morning Mitch!!! I watch all of your videos and I love cleaning cars so much I’ve decided to create a small business to supplement my disability income!!! I have learned so much from watching your videos…the first car I detailed the guy was surprised when he went to get gas and even it was clean!!! Thank you for all the knowledge you have imparted!!!
My 130k mile 2013 Accent needs some TLC & your videos are giving me the motivation & skill set to tackle the project. After working three jobs one being a dog walker and the other working in a garden my car went downhill. She hasn’t been to her full glory in some time. It’s not as bad as some of the cars you’ve cleaned but I feel like it’s up there… your APC is on my shopping list to help get my gal in tip top shape. Would you suggest any other of your products for a basic but detailed interior clean out? I was thinking one of your paint brushes, any other ideas? Thanks for the inspiration & motivation!
Had my doubts about that carpet Mitch but you did an amazing job on them. I'm also thinking nothing is a match for your APC and steamer That combo is a beast! Loving the Yard Channel BTW!
Looking at that car now, you’d think it had been well-cared for all its life. Can’t believe how well it cleaned up - really speaks to the quality of both your products and your work!
Compared to what it looked like before this car looks 💯 percent better and the floors look good also compared to what they were before you did your magic and it looks so good and awesome Mitch have a great weekend
You put so much effort and work into each detail! I’m guessing a lot of effort goes into cleaning after each detail, too, as your shop always looks spotless. How long does it actually take you to clean the shop after a detail like this?
A few observations: 1) The car was very dirty, but it wasn't full of trash or garbage. 2) This car was used in some very rough conditions for 15 years. And it still runs and held up great! 3) I would have loved to have seen the owners reaction.
Never seen a tool can take these tough muds inside car like this wen comes to detailing u did a great job mitch👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻loving the aftermath transformation from start to end🙌🏻😍😍🙌🏻even the pressure washer makes it look the car new n polish too 🙌🏻😍😍🙌🏻makes a huge difference 🙌🏻😍😍🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯awesome job mitch👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Not gonna lie these videos are so satisfying I watch them to help me fall asleep sometimes because of how satisfying it is to watch it and then if I don’t finish watching the video before I go to bed then I finish it when I wake up
I think it's a cost issue. You never saw carpenters showing up on job sites in cars, but it's a common site around where I live now. Not the supervisor or contractor, the guys swinging the hammers.
WOW 😲😳 you are so amazing. I appreciate everything you do. Like I say this is only my opinion. Don't understand why some people don't care about there own possessions. Enjoy your day and take care
This detail was more of archeological dig, never thought chisels would be necessary! Years of caked on mud (and likely more unspeakable things) deeply embedded. And those seats! Can’t wait for the water pour, GROSS!!!
Thank goodness you finally picked new music!! Great cleaning job. I have never seen you not get a carpet near perfect before. A testament to just how bad this was.
Probably a silly and boring question, but how do you go about doing details for so long (some exceeding 10 hours) without pain in your back etc from the awkward angles, bending up and down and so on?
Awesome transformation Mitch! Given the amount of mud and gunk you chiseled out of the carpet, did you consider removing the carpet and pressure washing it like you would have floor mats or the trunk liner?
Amazing change! I think even after your amazing job I would source a new/used interior from a salvage yard, at least carpet and seats. Fix that surface rust before it got worse and it would be a nice little car.
HOLY MOLY that was crazy!! 😱
PSA: Don’t miss next week’s video guys…it’s going to be an absolute BANGER! Sneak peek coming soon!
Is it an airplane?
Looks good
I’m thinking a truck 🛻
@@keirra5096 ooh yeah, a semi!

Budget detail geeks, gonna do the same when I have kids lmao
Well that’s a win 😂
Aww thats lovely! 😊
👍👍🤗
lol that’s awesome!
Using a chisel to help clean the inside is just crazy. That mud and dirt was really caked up!
The Subaru was probably the construction site
Wished the carpet was removed and power washed.
If anyone can turn a clamp of mud into a pearl, it's definitely Mitch. Great transformation! Have a great weekend man!
What a difference your spray makes! Nothing but quality from you, as always 🥰
Also, LOVING the new editing style. The music mixed with the authentic sounds is so good
I like that too very much! :)

Also extract the back of the seats, was a first at least for me

You did an amazing job! I'm sure the owner was thankful for everything you got out. You never disappoint!

it is so amazing to me that you use your left hand just as perfectly and balanced as you use your right hand.
I will be honest I really thought you had met the car you could not clean! This is one of those times I am glad to be wrong. Mitch, you have raised the bar again! Fantastic and awesome do not even come close. That was fun to watch, thanks.
Funny how the car actually looks GRATEFUL after she’s all clean! Amazing work😍😍
The new owners needs to buy some floor mats to protect the carpet. This was a great video! Thanks.
Mitch i’am always impressed by your details but you absolutely nailed it with this one 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧👍
This transformation was the most satisfying ever I had believe in you that it will be almost brand new and it is
ALREADY HYPED FOR NEXT WEEK 🎉
That outside dirt that wouldn’t come off very easily was probably dust control. I had that issue with all my vehicles when I lived in my acreage. Fantastic clean up on this one!
amazing video as always, geek! for those like me that also liked the last track, it's called "escapades by aiyo" 😎
It's Friday ❤ have a wonderful weekend Mitch 😊

Awesome! Would love to see more Subarus! I have a 2007 Outback 5 speed and really love it
Fr speed good
So THAT'S what the color of the paint and interior looks like 😮 ! As always , awesome work 👍
Absolutely AMAZING job on restoring that Subi to as near to perfect as it could be, especially that interior! Just a jaw-dropper of a video..Wow!
What a beautiful big difference! You did a very beautiful job. The car looking almost brand new again!
Dang great job it would have been nice to see a headlight restoration, it definitely needed it!
I agree. I saw the same thing in the reveal.
I’ve never seen a detail anything like this! This is next level!
Mitch the simple fact that you could get the carpet to turn blue-gray again just proofs that your stuff works!
Probably yes, different levels/experienced of detailer who goes the extra step
If the customer paid for that yes but I can't imagine this customer wanted to spend all that on a 280k km subie
Yeah I thought of this too
Or maybe just take the car to a junkyard, get a couple 100s, and go buy something else? 😂
Wow this was one of the craziest details on your channel.😱👍
I can’t believe how good that looked at the end!!!
10:39 My Favorite Song, I like to be Diligent, Eccentric, and Healthy with a Soft, Smooth Voice, and having Plenty of Water, Nutritious Foods, and Healthy Juices 💜💜
the amount of patience u have to have!!! especially with that extremely small chisel 😭 love your videos!!
Une transformation radical, et une élégance retrouvée !! Très beau travail !!✌✌💪💪
Amazing job as always! Also love the trees in the background during the last reveal shots. Beautiful!
That was incredible!!! I can't believe how you were able to get all of that mud off the floors and doors. This is definitely one of the best videos you've posted!
Special place in my heart for this one as I drove an Impreza (5 speed) for many years. It was a great car in all weather conditions. Well done ! !
Including the vacuuming/ scraping sounds adds so much more to the video! Love it
Glad you liked it!!
Your best wash ever.... very satisfying to watch. Thank you.
Using a chisel in the interior? That's next-level detailing! Keep it up Mitch!
That reveal shot at the end was well timed during the day! Not sure how this will affect your workflow but you should do the reveal shots during golden hour in the afternoon or in the morning.
I believe we have reached peak Detail Geek, epic transformation, well done sir.
I always look forward to your videos every week. They signify that the weekend is near 😊
The car looks a lot better than it did! Mitch, you did a great job on it!
Amazing job as always Mitch 👍🏻 I'd say this one is a strong competitor for Dirtiest Detail of The Year!

Hey Mitch,
The engine bay was desperately needed a cleaning. WHAT! A chisel on the carpet!!! WOW. 😳 The vehicle looks good!
Your Always Amazing!!!
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this car had been flooded! Epic transformation!
Used to have one just like that! That brought some memories back 😂
Had my doubts about that carpet Mitch but you did an amazing job on them. I'm also thinking nothing is a match for your APC and steamer That combo is a beast! Loving the Yard Channel BTW!
A FRICKEN CHISEL??!?! Great power move, Mitch!
I know it’s a bit early, but I wanna nominate this for a 2023 Geek award. AMAZING effort put into this. Can’t wait for next week😊

You did a great job! it looks surprisingly good for a 2008, especially considering wat you started with.
This newer video style with both music & car cleaning noise is just so satisfying 😌 ❤
Can you make a video on how to apply wax, polishes? Nice job on the Subaru it looks amazing! 👍
Agree. That's the one area where I know I can actually ruin a car. I'd love to have a longer form instructional video.
Insane transformation Mitch.
Amazing. So clean. And, thanks for changing the music.
I can't believe I'm early again this week! Excellent job as always 😊
A few observations: 1) The car was very dirty, but it wasn't full of trash or garbage. 2) This car was used in some very rough conditions for 15 years. And it still runs and held up great! 3) I would have loved to have seen the owners reaction.

You really earned your money on this one. I can't believe the interior came out as well as it did.
Using cars as farm vehicles is very silly when your better of with a truck
Could’ve been “used” on a farm or just a vehicle they had in there yard for awhile while using a truck for workloads.
Could’ve been “used” on a farm or just a vehicle they had in there yard for awhile while using a truck for workloads.
With the ridiculous price of trucks, I can see why they would use a car.

This is the best car detailing channel in the world!!!!😊😊😊😊
After looking at this video, it's fair to say that Mitch has never and will never refuse any car that's beyond dirty to clean😂
This is old school detail geek. Awesome stuff
Wow!! That car was thrashed and you brought it back to life!! Great job!! :D
Thank goodness you finally picked new music!! Great cleaning job. I have never seen you not get a carpet near perfect before. A testament to just how bad this was.
I don't think it's new 🎵music🎶👀@former home g'radge.
Your videos help me relax. Thanks.
Digging the shop sounds behind the music.
Do you recommend covering the alternator when I wash the engine bay? Also, how long should I leave it to dry afterward?
Probably a silly and boring question, but how do you go about doing details for so long (some exceeding 10 hours) without pain in your back etc from the awkward angles, bending up and down and so on?
Vacuum hits different today
This shows the quality of job you perform on the 2008 Subaru Imprezza you got it to look awesome again .
It Amazes me how great of a job you get all those vehicles looking brand new 🚘
Hi Mitch your All Purpose Cleaner is very good stuff
Awesome transformation Mitch! Given the amount of mud and gunk you chiseled out of the carpet, did you consider removing the carpet and pressure washing it like you would have floor mats or the trunk liner?
I had the same thought. He had the interior pulled apart already.
Amazing change! I think even after your amazing job I would source a new/used interior from a salvage yard, at least carpet and seats. Fix that surface rust before it got worse and it would be a nice little car.
