@@WDDetailing Since you have this comment about wheels responded to, I'd like to chime in with 7:55 were you said, not to go heavy coats with plastidip which is incorrect. As per dipyourcar videos, plastidip is meant to be put with thicker coats (still trying to avoid drips) and hyperdip, a different product should be sprayed more like paint, lightly.
Seeing old cars being brought back to life is so satisfying. i wish my grandpas 25 year old Impreza could be restored like that, but i don't think you guys are willing to come up here in Canada and its more rusty than dirty.
Could be not worth repairing if it's got a fault. I do wonder what's the point in cleaning some of these cars, as there's surely a reason they aren't being used. Do they end up back on the road, or just back in the barn?

As the previous owner of a 03 WRX let me tell you, cherish that car, maintain it properly, do proper tasteful mods to it, and don't let it go. I have been through many cars since that one and to this day I look back and want to daily drive it. I loved everything about it except the MPGs. And now that is not a concern for me really and I would not hesitate to trade my rare Jetta for one.
I remember like 10 yrs ago now I saw a group of 3 US bugeye WRX's modded to look just like STI's just chilling in a town I passed through. I still occasionally remember that.@@JoeZelensky
Any older car to me is worth the care and respect you can give it! I have a 15 year old car that is my baby and if i can keep her going hopefully she will last for years! Respect the oldies!!!
As cool as new cars are, you are totally right, old cars are way better to work on, and they are time capsules in a sense. I have a 20 year old vibe that we will be painting on our channel real soon. It still runs great and I have no need to replace it, but I always want more cars haha

WD detailing is a 5 star shop, you always go the extra mile. I don't see why more people that store autos don't use moth balls as a mouse deterrent, it's cheap and effective. A few under the hood, interior, and trunk definitely works. Just replace every 3 or 4 months.
I will NEVER understand how people can let this happen to their cars! I have 3 kids and my project car is always immaculate, stored in my 3rd car garage.

@@PACKERMAN2077 It wasn't really what I said, when they wash a vehicle they tend to start from the bottom instead of washing the roof first and working their way down. I see a lot of people do this, I have seen painters do this, when they (eg) paint a wall, they will start at the floor and work their way up the wall. Doing this they are working over wet paint, the same applies with washing a vehicle.
Another awesome video. I love watching the dirt go through the clear nozzle of the extractor when you did the seats. I'm glad you brought back the wall mounted clip. It's very satisfying watching the dirt run out of the mats. I'm really a "world rally blue" guy, but the banana yellow looks good on this car. I've been with you guys since the beginning. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
totally! I always loved the blue back in the day (and still do) but the yellow is also amazing and has become a favorite of mine. It just looks so good and you don't see them much anymore
To tape of tyres you can better use a deck of cards and place them in the edge, all-around overlapping each other. It is the best way I found to quickly coat a set of wheels....
really enjoyed seeing the car crank, run and enjoyed by the owner. We always get to see the owners happy but never get to see the hot rod, very much enjoyed that.
In the UK we got a special, the P1. I had one from new in 2000. Over 300 bhp standard. Huge wing, front splitter and 2 door. Awesome machine! Also they only made 1000!
I'm surprised you don't have a wheel cleaning stand. Check them out. They're great. They range in price from $50-$200+. You can sit on a stool to clean them.
People will hate that the owner paid you guys to detail that thing as thorough as you did, just for the owner to go out and dirty it up. As for me, I see that detail as the car starting a whole new life with the owner and the owner getting new inspiration to make the car great again. Looks great and the owner looked to be having a blast. Fantastic job
I see the algorithm is at work, i just picked up an 02 wrx after having to sell mine 2years ago after 2disc herniations...same year and color just auto. Guy was super cool ,i drove out in the 12"s of snow we got and he gave me a deal .has 160xxx on the dash with no lights on dash .some surface rust as far as i could see but what's to expect from the Midwest. I had an '02 Bugeye that I bought new in '01. Pretty sure I bought the first one in Austin. Was a great car, but the last Subaru I ever owned. I just never got super into them like a lot of folks do.

I am currently dropping a new engine in my 2002 WRX. I blew the engine back in 2012. It has been sitting in the garage then outside since. Mine is lowered on ISC coilovers and 18x8 Prodrive PFF7 wheels. It also has a 2007 STi 6 speed and wing. I love my car which is why I never got rid of it. This guy needs to take care of this car. Subaru made very few in Sonic Yellow. Glad I watched this. I had some critters under the hood. Now I know the other places I need to check.
I think I would have just let those carpets sit in a solution of Odor Ban for a few hours just to help them smell better. I’m not a fan of those round headlights, but they look so much better after treatment.
the bug eye is by far the best WRX. best looking, lighter, handles better, no unnecessary electronics, drop in a late model twin scroll 2.5 engine, swap out the gear box and drive train from the STI and a booming sound system, rally blue, with Rays Wheel Ce28 n 18 wheels, carbon fiber hood scoop and rear wing risers.
You really went above and beyond for this one by painting the wipers, wheels, and refinishing the shroud below the wipers. Those details go a long way to making a car look new again.

A jdm engine is only 1300. Swap out a couple sensors and the cam pulley, the oil filter housing and it’s good to go

just a little tip when you use plastidip spray cans, if you warm up the spray can a little you will notice a clear difference in spraying and finish

100% right on the mods. Those cars were fun but it was so easy to break them.
Headlights made the single biggest difference to the overall appearance and took years off how it looked. Way to go guys.
