I had quite a bit of heavy fabric and leather to go through and ended up using a leather punch to make the hole. Love the rivets that you stock.

thank you so much! Was trying on thick padded bag using longest posts~not realizing you want as short a post as will work so kept bending *facepalm* also wasn't using lower disc shaped half of tool or mini anvil, getting much better results now 😁

You make this look so easy. I just made the Mini NCW and couldn't seem to catch the zipper pocket in the side pieces. It looks like using a rivet would have been so much easier but I'm afraid to try using them. I never had any luck with a press like the one you showed and grommets. Do you know if installing rivets are easier?
