Nothing more than wonderful hearing the gleeful laughter of a child simply having fun with their father- I wish more dads would realize that in those precious special fleeting moments. Equally wonderful to see a man make something so beautiful with his hands. Sheer therapy to observe, thank you! ☺️ Turned out a simply glorious piece!✨
Wow! There is something very enriching and relaxing in these videos. Firstly the pleasure of seeing a craftsman at work, and secondly the experience of being a spectator to the process of something being created.
That's some special woodworking Mr. Fall Line Ridge. Your attention to detail is phenomenal. Great seeing you enjoying time with Fall Line Ridge Jr. too...:-)
Some handsome young man looks like the spitting image of his old man, Mister Fall Line Ridge, enjoying himself silly, and thank you for the share of your 'love seat'...
A great video! I love watching you spend time with your little one! Cherish every moment my friend because before you know it he will be as big as you! And this is the part that was hard for me, I can't pick them up and hold them anymore. I love watching your videos! Please keep them coming!
Very beautiful , and the craftsmanship is excellent . Bet that cedar smells awesome .I enjoy working with cedar when I can get it , unfortunately I can't get wide boards . Keep them videos coming, this one was awesome . From Trenton , Georgia thank you .
I'm a rookie who just did my first last week with a chain saw. I'm glad I watched your video because I just picked up a few tips. I'm how to attach the legs, making it a much faster project. This is an amazing bench. You're a beast! Thanks !
Thank you for an amazing video. I find myself being envious of anyone who has the knowledge and talent to create such a thing of beauty. I look forward to your next upload.
I love the collection of tools you have. You remind me of my Daddy, He could make anything from his head, no pictures or drawings. Thank-you for the video.
Well done young fella... I used to be a wood guy myself and I really appreciate what you did and you explanation. Quite good. All the best from Australia...
You're thanking us for watching the "long" video - it was so interesting to watch!! Thank you for filming it!! Your patience & persistence is amazing!! Great job - beautiful 😍
We like this kind of video. They are relaxing to watch & keeping us guessing what each piece is for. This is the 1st time we've seen one of your videos. Your little boy is adorable. Thanks for recording this video.
Love the bench good design and oh yeah glad to see your little helper enjoying time with his Dad nothing better and thanks for sharing your videos and God bless
It is real interesting to watch what you build with wood that you have milled. Hope that you will video more of your projects for everyone to enjoy and understand why you mill your own lumber.
You can be proud of the job you did here, my friend !! I'm sure your wife was also pleased with the finished product !! It could be a family heirloom which you can pass on to your son !! Lord Bless you and your entire family !!
Love watching videos like this, a true craft man who shows his skill, wish you lived in the UK, I would like a unit like that, 👍 keep up the great work
Awesome job, just finished a cherry top for a coffee table. A few things I wish I had done differently. But, turned out great. When your working with rough wood, you have to work "with" the wood.
Loved the video..I'm not a carpenter I work with metal and I'm currently converting a MAN 7.5 tonne horsebox into a small motorhome for myself..and I learnt s lot from you... greetings from the UK...and thank you.
Awesome job Wes ! A lot of love and care went into that bench. Your “local man” friend is a lucky man to have that bench. There will never be another one exactly like it !
Ya did real good kid!!!!!! Anyone would love to have your craftmanship in their home!!!! Thank you for sharing your video!!!! I enjoyed watching your little helper, he rounded out the show!!!!
I just found your channel today. It was a pure pleasure to watch you work. You are very talented craftsman and I subscribed so I can enjoy more of your builds. Your little boy is so cute watching his daddy. TFS
Cedar has such hidden beauty! for outdoor furniture use highest UV protection; boat spar is great product. your bench looks great - love the drawer. Yeah insides are a delight to smell. fill socks with shavings as sachets. every bit of cedar is usable including dust and shavings sell as mulch or dog sleeping pads... extra money. Since you are young go ahead and plant red cedar around your property. in 20 years you can harvest a few. replant 3 to every one taken. Also if enjoy smelly wood plant Sassafras again cut a few in twenty years. Sassafras and cedar go very well together.
I watched the whole video and I am a do it yourself guy too and you did a great job on this, It' beautiful !! and your camera placements were really cool too, Good job !!. Cheers, Roger
Wonderful project with beautiful wood. If that piece is staying in your home it will become an heirloom, something to pass on to your children and possibly theirs. So enjoyed watching this video.
A very nice build and great camera angles. A wire wheel on a drill will make short work of your bark edges versus sanding it completely by hand. Almost forgot to mention the incredible cuteness at the beginning of the video;-)
The bench is beautiful and i like how the wood doesn't match because you get to see more of whats in the wood. I have always been a wood lover nothing better then true grain.
You certainly have a good eye for these things, it’s beautiful. You did make me nervous cutting those arms on the chop saw, buying a used bandsaw is a lot cheaper than paying for fingers and limbs to be reattached. I’m not trying to be a troll, but please don’t do that again, for you and your families sake. You have really been an inspiration for me, in fact I got my own LT 15 and have been milling my own lumber for about a year, built a sawmill shed similiar to your design as well. Thank you so much for doing these videos.......Now if I could only get cedar to grow like that in PA...LOL.
i love woodwork and love watching woodwork there is nothing like it when you see the transformation wood can undergo once you start working with it great video and great job with your cedar bench
Good job! I would like to share a tip I stumbled on recently when finishing cedar. I recently enclosed my new router table with cedar lumber to mount accessories on. I have also been wanting to try using dyes, and have only used stains previously. I decided to finish the cedar with Danish Oil, but thought it would be good test for trying my hand at dying. My router table wouldn't matter if it turned out strange. I got a 2 oz bottle or bright red Transtint dye from Woodcraft and added 30-40 drops to the last 4-5 oz of a can of natural Danish Oil I had. I applied it similarly to any oil....couple coats of rub on and rub off. When dry, I applied a coat of Johnson's Paste Wax with steel wool. WOW! The color in the cedar became almost 3 dimensional. Even the white sapwood took on a pinkish tint that really looked nice. My brother, who notices almost nothing when he comes to my shop, commented immediately how rich the cedar looked on my router table. I just wanted to share my experience with dyes. I plan on experimenting more with dyes on different wood since I learned that they do not leave a muddy finish like stains; but just enhance the natural color of wood.
A lovely piece of furniture Wes. Only issue for me would be to round the front of the armrests as they look mighty sharp to graze against. Thank you for making such a fine piece. I’m sure it will serve the family for generations. Best wishes to you and yours. Take care and stay safe! Stan
A tip: those sharp angles cut in at the bottom and elsewhere are now stress relief points for "green" lumber when they are placed inline with the grain. As the wood dries you may want to keep an eye on those. Cedar can be more forgiving when it has predominantly straight grain. Curved design helps.
I watched the whole video and enjoyed how you made use of what you had on hand. Good workmanship and a great result !! Keep em coming. Best Regards Fred Thomas
If I were to criticize anything about this video, it would expose the smallness of people who never created a thing with the toil of their own two hands, and then criticize the efforts of others. Thank you for sharing your life with us. .
The stuff I use: www.amazon.com/shop/falllineridge
You definitely need a good set of tools to create such perfect finishes

Beautiful bench project. Cedar is such a great wood to work with. I love how you did the arm rest.
That was a cute opening to this video - your son was having a good time. And nothing like a good canine helper. Nice piece of work!!!!
Am I the only one that finds the sound of a sander quite comforting? Great job by the way! Great watch too!

After Hickory, Red Cedar is definitely my favorite word grain. Beautiful job bro!
Really enjoy and appreciate the clips with your boy. Brings back a few good memories.
Great job, what a gift. Well done. My Dad and I built a cedar chest for my wife on our fifth anniversary.
Love it! My next cedar project is going to be a bench. Great example! And, my grandson has the same t shirt as your little boy.
Absolutely beautiful! I could almost smell that cedar when you were planning it!

What beautiful wood captured in a lovely storage love seat. The areas at each end after the armrests is a perfect place to keep your drinks.
I enjoyed watching your entire video, I really appreciate the quality of the red cedar. You nailed it on a gorgeous red cedar bench.
Really enjoy watching your wood working. Very nice!
I have been woodworking for 45 years. I have never seen a more detailed beautiful creation. Awesome job.
