- Three Ideas for a lathe that will be appreciated! You can't buy this tool in a store.
Hi guys. My name is Mikhail. On this channel you will see a lot of projects on how to make things with your own hands. Projects are different starting from simple devices and ending with large machine tools. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends about me.
Very nice. Good design. A nit: dovetail for the slide probably would have been more rigid.
Many years ago I built such live spindle tooling for my 10 inch lathe. I used a windshield wiper motor for same. These motors are incredibly robust and very powerful when run at 30VDC!

Nice video :)
The world needs more people like this!
This is definitely ASMR for machinists! I took 3 years of machine shop in high school, and it's pretty amazing what you can create with a good Cincinnati end mill and a decent lathe! Some very cool projects here. New subscriber.😉👍👍
Thank you! )
You must have some very good inserts. I would not have expected DCMT inserts to withstand the beating you're giving them with those interrupted cuts.
I don't like dcmt inserst for interpreted cuts. But no because of breakage. Surface finish seems to be always ... Record like?
Awesome… Good storytelling, love the different camera angles, the image processing... everything is perfect! Hope to see more and more.
I noticed several things. Some real cool ideas. Either the tail stock needs the windage adjusted, the Chuck's bent, or something is wrong. Center drill speed was way too slow, you determine the speed by the smaller diameter. The arbor was wobbly. Need to finr tune your feed speed and climb cutting choices.
Hebat mantap banget peralatannya serba ada. Terimahkasih ilmunya yang diperlihatkan. 👌👍👍🙏🙏
Thank you ! A whole different class doing machining repairs for maintenance, get it running again.
You sir are a very good toolmaker and a pleasure to watch, many thanks, Colin. UK.
WOW, I just had the best Sunday morning UA-cam experience. Great ideas and tools, well made and good video editing.
Questions: How much material does the roller ball tool compress the material compared to a final cut?
Where did you buy the little grinding motor and accessories for it?
Most importantly, THANK YOU for sharing with all of us.
Hacía tiempo que no veía algo tan ingenioso y constructivo. Gracias. Hoy tienes un nuevo suscriptor.
I agree and have also subsribed. Thank you, Mikhail. Greetings from Ohio, USA.

Very clean and talented job, thanks a lot.
I love his work.
WOW! Thank you very much. So much to learn from you.
Interesting video, turning a ball turning device (which you CAN buy) into a mystery!
Nice chips. Ill try the burnishing tool.
a year back then a would say its awesome !! but now I converted my lathe and mill to cnc... and I would say awesome if I figured out how to make program for my stuff )) So now im using my machine half cnc half manual )) and i like it ) To bad have not much free time.
Excellent video, thank you so much for sharing 🙂
Fantástico amigo,tudo muito útil!!!
Boa sorte sempre!!!
Excelentes projetos!
Mr Craft!
Very nice! Thank you. These are on my list to build also. Yeah, I know I could buy them. But for me, the fun is in making the tools. If I can make a tool that I can use to make another tool, then use that tool to make another tool? Oh, I am in hog heaven. It satisfies a deep desire in my mind. I see where quite a few would rather buy their tools and then use them to build a part. I enjoy that also, but buidling the tool just jumpstarts my fun motor.
Excellent work!
Nice job but some times using coolant it's better.
John Grizopoulos retired machinist from Greece
30:04 Awesome! 1/3 of a 0.01mm of total indicator reading is amazing.
You are blessed really
Love this channel.
Subscribed.
Precise work, congratulations and best regards 😊.
Just magnificent work ! Great respect. Blew my mind.😅
He has great skills in mechanical processing
But some don't see it they only focus on music
I built my own lathe with a drill press, angle grinder, a portable band saw, and countless of hours to make them fit. It isn’t a lathe by professional standards but it does what a lathe should be. That lathe is a tool you can’t buy in a store. Any tools can be bought except your own design😂
hi! Please don't get me wrong, really good job, well done!
But you can definitely buy rolling tools! =) Maybe not in the hardware store next door but in shops for tools and accessories for machine tools.
keep it up
Greetings from Germany
You can buy all of these things, the title is click bait. He did a nice job making them though.
Very good job, congratulations! 🇧🇷
nice job skill always wins out
Great work sir 👏 👍 😊❤😊❤
I enjoyed the video, but would be concerned about the longevity of an open frame permanent magnet motor being used where metal chips are flying. Seems like chips would tend to collect on the outer surface of the motor case, and sooner or later one will get in through a cooling slot and damage either the commutator or an armature winding.
Excellent.
Thankyou byfren👍👍
Excellent !!!
That's a very nice tool.
Mikhael, use some soft shims to hold your part in the chuck. It won't get damaged by doing so. Best! Job
Hello, we are a parts manufacturing factory in China. Do you need to outsource parts manufacturing? Thank you!
Brilliant!
Beautiful work. 👍 Where is your workshop? Do you ever build an model engines?
Love the videos my man, please, with love brother, be careful with loose clothes around machines. A sweat shirt tie can wrap around very quickly and it would not be good 🙏🏻
Well done!
Addictive. Masterful.
Just subscribed it looks like a 920 lathe, I had my 920 for 24 yrs now. From Coventry in UK 🇬🇧.
I loved the projects and the simple way you went about making them and yes I would like to build at least one of them. Are the plans available for sale or download? Thanks.
Nice radius tool! I assume you didn't had any dove tail cutters available?
Very good
Very good 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 brother
Un trabajo destacable
nice work
loved the first two. couldn't watch the third one onna counna the music...
Nice Job ! Love the scribe what kind is that ?
Dziękuję za naukę
24:50 Never *EVER* leave a key in a chuck!
Roller burnishing was very common at one time, they are also used for sizing, particularly in bores where they can be used to get 5 micron tolerance and a great surface finish.
Mini toolpost grinder was interesting, what size was the motor?
Nice
I was using toolpost grinders 50 years ago.
3x thumbs up
Precioso 🎉
Cảm ơn bạn chia sẻ video hay ❤
Nice cut the the chase video. Good ideas.
Your fly cutter is tail dragging. Off a few microns from vertical somewhere. Or not rigid for some reason.
the laser engraving just kicked professionalism up
If and if I can get someone to sponsor me get those machines I can do wonderful things.

Đúng là cơ khí đầy rẫy sáng tạo tuyệt 😊
Merci
wow super
Nice video, precise,thanks :)
Que maravilla de torno
Nice job on these projects, but cut the clickbait titles; you can buy ball turners, tool post grinders and collet chucks.
I love that the first ball turned is the handle.
Proszę napisz z jakim pasowaniem wciskasz wałek z dyskiem? Film mnie się podobał.
Pozdrawiam Alisek.
One question. Does it help the finish if you sand the shaft before burnishing?
Fiindcă-i DESĂVÂRȘIT...!!!! 😮😮😮😊😊😊😅😅🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Diggin' the Safety Sandals.
Mantap 👍
DAMMMMM !!! 😀👍💥
THANKS GOD AND THE VIRGIN MARY AND SAINT JOSEPH ❤❤❤❤❤ AMEN. Thank you very much ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤
What steel did you use for making the various parts?
Rusty.
At 8:00, Can you tell us about your laser? How much power? What software? How much money?
It is available in China, do you want to buy it?
Again I am asking for the details ... How much power? What software? How much money? Is it really the same exact unit as shown in this video? Where is your video?
Our email said
I have received no email, I have received no details.... Would you try again or just answer here in the video details or this comment area please. Thanks.
