Jeff Healey was an incredible guitarist who lost his sight to cancer at age 1 and his life to cancer at 41, RIP. Jeff learned to play the guitar in standard fashion but said it felt more natural to play it on his lap. Hopefully, you guys will get a chance to react to his live performance of See The Light from the Later with Jools Holland tv show, which is also the title cut of the album that Angel Eyes is on (he plays the guitar with his teeth in that video 🤯). He also does a live performance with Stevie Ray Vaughan playing Little Sister and both performances are way more up tempo and are 🔥🔥🔥👍✌️
There's a lot we didn't know about Jeff Healey. I think we were supposed to react to both Jeff and Stevie, but Ace can't read so it was just Jeff Healey for this video. But now we know a little of what to expect for when we do react to both
I find it beautifully ironic how many references he sings about "sight" & looking & seeing.... in this song knowing he couldn't see anything ever. So much talent in him. What a loss😢😢❤
It seems to me I remember seeing a interview with Jeff Healey where he said he learned to play on his lap because his hands were too small to go around the neck because he was so young when he started.
To address one of your questions, Jeff had no sight at all. His eyes were surgically removed when he was less than one year old and he was given ocular prosthetics. I recommend that you check out As The Years Go passing By from Stuttgart 1995 as well as Jeff and Stevie Ray Vaughan doing Look at Little Sister together.
Thank you for the info
RIP jeff🤘❤️ you left us with one of the finest love song. Is that not an incredible outro
He also did music, and acted on the film "Road House" with Patrick Swayze
One of the most talented guitarist. Try see the light.
I can't imagine anyone NOT knowing him. ❤❤❤
This guy could rip it up on guitar as well as anyone. Check out See the Light live
He definitely can
Saw Jeff & Co. at The Academy in Manchester (UK). Epic.

One of his ealry TV appearances on Night Music in 1988 performing the title track of his first album: "SeeThe Light" ua-cam.com/video/gwgOUzodS6E/v-deo.html
Also performing "As The years Go Passing By" Live in Germany ua-cam.com/video/gwgOUzodS6E/v-deo.html
You'll get a much better look at his guitar playing in those videos.
I saw you also reacted to Stevie Ray Vaughn. Jeff Healey made a guest appearance with him performing "Look At Little Sister" Two guitar greats.

His son was born with the same affliction he was born with but thanks to advances in medical science his son beat it and doesn’t even need glasses to see.
He learn to play a guitar by his self
