Excellent performance. I still cant believe Jeff taught himself while a blind child. Kinda makes my problems seem small. I pray they're both Rocking In Peace!!
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats The more you watch Stevie with other gun slingers, youll notice that he would always let them show their stuff while he would lay back. He never wanted to disrespect anyone and that is just another reason why Stevie's the goat. He was the total package...mad guitar skills, great vocals, showmanship, stage presence, and humility.
Our Stevie! Absolutely one of a kind. Where are people like this anymore dear Lord? And why couldn't You let us have him longer? You just don't see performances equal to this in the past few decades. Sadly, it seems that humanity has taken a back seat to fame and fortune. Not saying there aren't good people in this world, but the music industry is turning out anybody these days. ☮️. to all. RIP Stevie and Jeff. Still Jamming.
Jeff passed away at 42 from the same cancer that he lost his eyes to! "Angel Eyes" is a beautiful song you guys should react to! I'm sorry I wasn't able to see him live! Luckily I was able to see S R V in concert at the beginning of his career! He was amazing!
What a unique playing style from Jeff! The way he's able to pick by playing over the frets. I've never seen that before. Amazing talents, both of them! RIP.
@@maureenwagg5305 Yes, he lost his sight as a baby and when he got a guitar at 3, he didn't know how to hold it, having never seen anyone do it and he developed his own method of playing. It sure worked for him!
Jeff Healey was incredibly talented. Most people don't know that he was also an accomplished Clarinet and Trombone player. In addition to rock music, he also loved Big Band and Swing music and also made a few albums of this type of music. He had a collection of nearly 100,000 78 RPM records by the great band leaders and musicians (Glenn Miller, Benney Goodman, Duke Ellington, and so many more). His death was a tragic loss to the world.
@@michaelasay8587 Jeff was only 41 when he died in 2008 from sarcoma. But I sense that this is not what your comment alluded to. Did you mean that Jeff was too young to be familiar with the Big Band era of music? If so, what does age have to do with the music a person likes? Right now, today, there are a lot of people in their 20's who like The Beatles. The Beatles broke up 52 years ago. Lots of people still listen to Big Bands Swing music.
Stevie Ray Vaughan just one of the best and Jeff Healey just one of the best RIP guys.-[Jeff H.-angel eyes-lost in your eyes]-[Samantha Fish-I put a spell on you-either way I lose]-[CCR-I put a spell on you] thank you and have a Incredible day and great reaction too S&M.
Imagine not being able to see where you are on the fretboard but counting the frets to work out where you are and playing and singing at the same time.Amazing talent by Jeff..
I'm remembering all the times I was able to see SRV play in my local bar. And then to see him in a big arena. And then again in the local bar. Great memories.
One of the many things I love about Stevie he didn’t mind sharing the stage and spot light with other artists as a matter of fact he really enjoyed watching others . May they both Rest In Peace
Eye popping, face melting, mind blowing performance! I sure hope wherever they are, they know they left their unbelievably beautiful mark here on earth.
Thanks for this - one of my very favorites -- Stevie was quite generous in spotlighting other artists (see his version of this song with amazing keyboardist Reese Wynans) - and you have to love how Jeff just jumped up on his feet... with no strap for his guitar (!!?) -- kindred souls...
1985 where a then 19-year-old Healey - already renowned in Canada - was discovered by none other than Stevie Ray Vaughan. Some years later, Vaughan, the man I'd consider my favorite guitarist of all time, proclaimed Healey as the best guitar player in the world. They became good friends. Jeff was devastated when SRV died
Kudos to you guys for being the ONLY reactors (that I watch) who roll back a video, to the beginning, if you dig it or think you've missed something important 🎵🎶
This FILLS my heart! Being blind, Jeff learned his own way of playing guitar. We lost both at young ages - I had tix to see SRV in concert for the 4th time, but he died in that helicopter crash one month prior. RIP to both of you SUPER talented men - why do the good die young?? LOVE you guys! Keep the great music alive - today's music is CRAP!! Hugs, from Mesa, AZ 🌵
I told y'all watching this performance would make you glad that you're alive to witness such a amazing thing. It truly warms the soul to see this. We're not worthy, but thank God this was recorded so we could experience it. 🥳💯💣💥🎸🎸
Sometimes life just hurts when your favourite musicians die. 🤷♂️ But we are so blessed in our day and age to be able to revisit these great performances whenever we want to!
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸Stevie RAYyyyy💋❤️❤️❤️ My one and only favorites white soul singing the bluessss also a great guitarist and how much does he love it Named my only son after him 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤫 🎸 Australia 🎸💕 Christina
Now you need to see Stevie Ray do this same song on Austin City Limits. One of his strings broke & you get to see the smoothest guitar swap in history! And Mel, your hair looks so great like that.💙☮
Y'all the two of them together are more than amazing. No words can really describe them together. When Jeff feels it it's crazy. I don't even know how he hold the guitar and plays while jumping.
@Shawn and Mel Thank you, this was amazing! If you like this, there's another outstanding performance video with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Paul Butterfield, B. B. King that y'all should check out.
No body rocks like Jeff. Steve could not believe what he was witnessing. being a guitarist himself he knows what it takes to be that cool with strings.
Ive watched several reaction videos on this performance. It brings out the best in humans, you can see and feeeel the magic. The best were taken from us. I can think of another era in music when the pied pipers ruled . It somehow gets the adrenaline flowing whether you want it or not. Good one guys!!
Not so much teacher student but teacher teacher. You could see the look on Stevies face as he watched Jeff's fingers after he stood up. Jeff's blindness never stopped him. Both absolute treasures gone too soon.
This was such a hard roadhouse nasty riff. I like that u seemed to really groove all the way down on it. "Ain't Gonna Give Up on Love"-Capital Theatre.. .a blues jewel that showcases his voice with a shattering solo. and an endearing smile from him for the applause mid song.
Got to see Stevie Ray when first starting out- in Little Rock - he opened for Wall of Voodoo and Bow Wow Wow. His dad lived in Little Rock and was in the crowd. Saw Jeff in a small car in Pittsburgh when he was starting out. Guess I was just lucky both times
Absolutely Incredible!! Thank you. You might want to try Charlie Daniels The Devil went down to Georgia! Live version. I think you and your audience will enjoy it. bob
When Jeff Healey stands up you know it's about to get serious,LOL. I'd love to see your reaction to his song "See the Light"on Night Music 1988(Canadian Public Television). It's on UA-cam and it's the best performance of his career in my opinion, and that's saying a lot considering the amount of great performances he put on during his career.
Excellent performance. I still cant believe Jeff taught himself while a blind child. Kinda makes my problems seem small. I pray they're both Rocking In Peace!!
Jeff Healy, ‘Angel Eyes’ shows his singing voice more than any other. IMO. He’s known for the guitar playing but he can sing too.
Yes I love angel eyes!!!
Even less known is he was a really good trumpet player. No kidding, look it up.

Jeff Healy March 25, 1966 - March 2, 2008

Great that you took this suggestion! I'm happy that I got to see them both in concert.
Well said guys, WOW
One of the many things I love about Stevie he didn’t mind sharing the stage and spot light with other artists as a matter of fact he really enjoyed watching others . May they both Rest In Peace
You'll be hard pressed to find a better rocking blues duo performance than this. Two legends.
SRV discovered Healy. They were so proud of each other. Beautiful union.
My father was an "older" guitar player (who Stevie reminded me of) and he dug this song. It had that old 50's kind of groove to it 🎵🎶
You are so right Jeff becomes the music. Both such great talents gone too soon. Jeff passed from cancer when he was in his early 40's.
Eye popping, face melting, mind blowing performance! I sure hope wherever they are, they know they left their unbelievably beautiful mark here on earth.
An iconic performance by two of the greatest guitarists that we lost way to soon RIP Jeff and Stevie
This is AMAZING !! Thank you for the reaction 😊🥰❤
A LOT of talent on that stage. They both are missed.
Heaven's rock and roll band!
They both are members of Rock and Roll Heaven. And Jeff can see the light.
Two greats gone too soon. I'll declare you two honorary Canadians for you appreciation of Jeff.
Stevie Ray Vaughn also shared a stage with BB King! It was awesome! Yes to the Texas Blues Man...Stevie Ray Vaughn!
“Can we take it back?”
Oh, absolutely!

The wonderful thing about rock collaborations, the brotherhood. No Egos.
What would we have given to see them both live
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️😢😘😭
I love Stevie's face during Jeff's solo(now hold on there Jeff) they both ripped those solos, wish I could've been in the crowd!
Shawn is right, Jeff died of cancer in 2008. From what I remember, cancer was also the reason why he lost his sight when he was a kid.
Correct, he lost his sight due to retinoblastoma, a rare form of cancer, before his first birthday. He started playing guitar at age 3.
Kudos to you guys for being the ONLY reactors (that I watch) who roll back a video, to the beginning, if you dig it or think you've missed something important 🎵🎶
Just legendary! That hug got me in the feels. ❤️
This FILLS my heart! Being blind, Jeff learned his own way of playing guitar. 5 before the helicopter crash I saw Stevie and Jeff Beck play at the garden.

I love the way you react to Stevie. And your wife is just beautiful.

SRV never plays that solo the same. It's awesome and always sounds phenomenal.
God rest Jeff's and Stevie's talented souls 🙏🏼 ❤️

That's Legendary Jam ! Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert Collins actually discovered Jeff playing in a club in Canada im assuming and the rest is history .
Thank y'all for this reaction 😊. Made my day. Keep rocking in the free world....
Even *SRV* had to say *DAMN* listening to *Jeff* killing it.....
Not many artists want to team up with a blind man!!
Some of the best ever . Thank
You for showing.
A mindblower! I wish they had been able to do more co-ops. Two very talented people taken way too soon. RIP to both.
I saw Stevie at his last concert in San Diego. He died shortly after. Amazing artist!
Great reaction! Love SRV and love you guys..now you have to react to Tin Pan Alley SRV w/Johnny Copeland live!!!
Yes!
Jeff Healey was the house band in the movie Road House.
Jeff passed to cancer at age 41. I believe cancer took his eyesight as an infant, too.
Died at age 41,of cancer, REST IN PEACE ,BROTHA JEFF, AND YOU TOO MY FELLOW TEXAN, I LOVE YOU MY BROTHA. AMEN AND AMEN.
RIP to both Jeff and SRV!
I saw Stevie live the same year this concert happened. He opened for Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Yes, people were envious of me lol
😎😎😎😎😎
Me too I saw SRV open up for Robert Plant I'm Toronto at the old Maple Leaf Gardens fantastic

It really doesn't get better than that, epic performance
You right Mel...doesn't get any better !!
When you impress SRV, you’re legendary.
I saw SRV at Mud Island in Memphis in 1990. The best show I've ever seen. I feel blessed to have been able to see him.

When Jeff stands up, you know shit's gonna get real!!
When a blind dude gets out of his chair and starts shredding you know you are rocking it out. Look at the look SRV gives when Jeff gets up.
I was blessed to grow up listening to these guys! Love what y'all are doing. Spread the love...hollar if you need backup😎🇺🇸
That was sheer greatness!
I LOVE what you said...they were too great to be in human form. God wanted them in heaven for himself.
jeff passed in 2008 at 41 and he was discovered by Stevie ray Vaughan and albert Scott
listen to Texas Flood, an anthology blues where he plays the guitar behind his back and sings at the same time, a legendary guitarist
That’s too much talent on one stage!
Stevie Ray Vaughan (and Albert Collins) discovered Jeff Healey at the blues club Albert's Hall !!! Yes, he died from cancer in/around 2007, I believe.
SRV actually mentored Jeff!! Please listen to Jeff's "Angel Eyes"...so good!!🎶🎸🎵🎸
