Jeff is blind so he sits down playing most of the time. This is how he learned how to play.

Actually, Jeff learned to play guitar traditionally. He just developed his sitting style on his own.

Once did a concert with Jeff, where he asked to borrow a soldering iron to fix his guitar. We offered to help, but he insisted on doing it himself - which he did! Yup, blind guy soldering!

@@garystamford6395, I watched an interview with his drummer. He recounted how they were on tour. He woke up on the bus late at night. He heard Jeff laughing, so he walked up front. Jeff was driving the bus. The bus driver was sitting right behind him, giving him instructions for corrections. He said that Jeff was loving every minute.

Jeff Healey lost his sight to cancer at a year old. His father gave him a guitar when he was three and it was easier to play it in his lap. SRV of course is phenomenal as well.
I would suggest checking out Jeff Healey See the light from Night Music 1988. Jeff was Canadian. Two legens gone too soon.

For another side of Jeff Healey, checkout Angel Eyes, a romantic ballad. He also played jazz trumpet and had an amazing collection of records dating from the 1920's. He could locate any record by feel alone. He also hosted a music show on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) radio. An amazing man and musician.

Some great things about this performance. At the beginning of the song, Stevie is playing rhythm & the cool lines in the background are coming from Jeff. When Jeff does his solo & stands up, he has no strap, so he's "hugging' his guitar & playing...he also hits a note that gets a "WOW" from Stevie. 2 great Players who left us just wanting more & they were also very good friends. This is one of all time favorites...SRV & Jeff Healey...Just World Class Blues!

Jeff and Stevie are guitar Gods, Jeff from Canada. Jeff had cancer that took away his eye sight as a kid. Later the cancer came back and took Jeff Healey way too soon. And now these 2 must be rocking out heaven. This was the first time they played together, Jeff covered many of Stevie's songs and was a master at guitar playing, they were like 2 peas-in-a-pod; total respect of each other. Jeff was beginning to develop his own library of music by this time.

never heard of Jeff Healey, i don't think. but man he could play the guitat couldn't he? and being blind makes it that much more impressive. you can tell he was blind, pretty much, by his head movements.
stevie's album "soul to soul," which "look at little sister" appears on, is excellent. and the studio recording of this song that appears on the album is excellent too. but vaughn isn't so much a rock and roller but a blues man. his first album "texas flood" included his only two singles that i'm aware of: "love struck baby" and "pride and joy." even his singles were GREAT! at least those two were.
