When I couldn’t reach the flange nuts to install my pipes due to similar circumstances you encountered; I was surprised a long slim extension on my ratchet solved my problem completely.
It’s a good idea to wipe off the mufflers before you started so the oils from your hand won’t get marked into the Exhaust system

Hey DDFM... great work. Don't forget to use locktite. I installed V&H Shortshots on my 2014 883 and lost one of the dogbone brackets and bolts during one of my rides. I used bolts temporarily and ordered a new set. After using locktite I am golden ever since. Also don't forget to retune the FP3. Keep up the good work.

Dan I like the new pipes , but you should of changed the exaust gaskets that are in the heads if you didn't , and wipe the pipes off from your ring r r prints because of oil in your fingers, and you can get a swivel extention at a automotive parts dealer. And again what are you doing with the old pipes you took off. I'm not picky , I'm poor as hell.
My phone changes spelling, I'm sorry. Wipe fingerprints off before getting it hot or they will be burnt on there. Be safe bro.

a flat floppy combo wrench will do the trick.
Changing this exhaust has been such bullshit for me. I have a whole tool set, and found out I needed an 8 mm allen wrench to take off the stock bracket. Now im having to go back to the hardware store for the 4th fucking time for ANOTHER fucking tool to take off the inspection cover.

If anybody is going to do this, remember to spray the exhaust nut with penetrating oil. Those nuts can literal seize up and snap the mounting bolt that are in the heads. It's a real fuckin pain to remove.

I did and it leaked. I took them off, still leaked. Put them back on and cant feel air anymore, but idk if they are supposed to be like that

What's your best tips for driving on dirt roads? Can you make a video about it?
Of course it doesn’t come with head gaskets. I dont get off until everythings closed, so I wont be riding my bike for a whole nother week just to go buy one little part that the exhaust didn’t include.
