Saw this video and manybithers and bought one last year for my 18 FLDE. Realized it would void my warranty, returned. Warranty expired, saw your video AND comments and hyst ordered. I ride C2C in summer. Temperature is something I suggested to HD instead of a "clock". This is a stellar diagnostic tool! Yet I hesitated because I didnt want to invite my phone to the HD party. The canned map is all I need for peace of mind (for now). Great review, great tribe in comments.
Nice vid. Highly recommend the fuelpak, im a fp3 in my 2017 XL1200X with Vance hines short shots full exh, joker high flow intake. It made a huge difference since the bike comes stock lean. The Autotune was even better for me
More to it after flashing the first time. You do have to switch off your bike. (Power switch not your engine kill switch on the bars) and the app will instruct you to turn it back on after 15 seconds. This is to save the mapping to the ECU.
I hope you don,t have issues with it . my experience with v&h was absolute shit . It took them over two months to get me my initial map to last less than a week when it failed . It left me stranded on the highway , had to remove it to get home . EIGHT MONTHS later , still no response from them .At this point they probably have no interest in making it right .
I have a 2016 Harley Forty Eight 1200 with Short Shots V&H pipes, a breather and the FP3... it runs "jerky" below 2800 rpm... even after the V&H support sent me a map.... Someone recommended to go the Micro EFI Dynojet route as this will eliminate the O2 sensor closed loop that causes the jerky ride in the lower rpm range... Can I get rid of the jerky ride by sticking with the FP3 and more tuning? Can the FP3 also eliminate the O2 sensors?? Very irritated by the uneven lower rpm issue...
Did you mess with any of the other settings it's not try tricking it and customizing make it run a little leaner just so you know 1200 sporty are very jerky then why would run so much better with a danmoto 2 into 1
Frank McGrath I have a 107m8 bumped up to a 124 with cam intake full exhaust and many other oil clutch breather mods the fuel pak works great for at home tuning
Once a fuelpak is married or flashed to one bike can i put that same fuelpak on another bike use permanently. I see a few of this paks being sold for cheap thats why im asking. Thank you for this great video
While the same they are completely different. TTS really need to go on a dyno. Fuelpak is user friendly and works well with can maps. You will not get the hp out of can map like you will on a dyno.
@@TonysGarage i bought a 120 R for a 2013 fatboy,,, previously in was running a 103 stage 4 kit HD,, SO the dealer master tech tuned the 120 R with fp3 not a problem,, but when i bought the engine they recommend the tts,,, that is why i am asking is it will gain more with tts or v&h,? ,, they d not have the dyno equipment
Harley is going to recommend the tts because it’s their product and keeps the warrenty in place. The FP3 will void you’re factory warrenty. The tts keeps the bike within epa standards the fp3 does not.
So in really both with a dyno tune should be pretty close to the same the fp3 will run a little richer and cooler because it does not have to stay in the epa standards.
Ordered my van hines short shots. Will be awhile till I get the FP3. Will the hog be OK with just my pipes on and stock air intake. I was thinking the o2 sensor would adjust for the new pipes , but don't want to damage anything?
Depends on the dealer... most will honor it with basic upgrades like exh and air cleaner and a few other things ... if they don't, tell them straight that you won't do any more business with them.
All dealers are different. Mine you can add any exhaust with no loss but as soon as you map the bike with anything other than the Harley tuner the warranty is gone.
@@TonysGarage haven't mapped it yet that's why I was looking at your video getting ready to change the filter then map it dealer doesn't do it anymore.
@@TonysGarage I love how I just watched a H-D Dealer post a video of them doing a stage 4 upgrade and he takes the brand new bike out, getting on it showing off all of the upgrades, then back to the showroom to sell, and that's all OK... but I plug a tuner into my bike to make it run better with slipons and it voids my warranty.
Sad Vance & Hines doesn’t include anything for Rinehart Exhaust. Not everybody wants Vance & Hines Exhaust so I guess I will buy a Dynojet or ThunderMax which are capable of a lot more things.
It doesn't matter what exhaust you have on your bike, I usually create three different Maps with different exhaust choices and I never have a problem. I was running thunderheader on my Dyna Low Rider s model I could not believe the power that thing made.

Hello Tony, I have a HD Softail Heritage 2008, and here in Brazil our fuel is not so pure as in USA, that's why the temperature of the bike becomes very high sometimes, and I am looking for some tuning to improve that and also maybe gain an extra horse power. Do you think the FP3 will help me? I will add a high air flow filter, and already have an exhaust with high air flow too. How is the performance of your bike after the FP3 installed, please? Tks!
+Arnaldo Toledo it should run alot better getting the air/fuel mixture where it needs to be. Harley come very lean from the manufacturer for emissions. Should run cooler also. Good luck and ride safe.
Hi, if i just upgrade my sportster XL 1200 T 2017 with an air filter Arlen Ness Big Sucker, does it make sense to use FP3 and what is the gain for power ?
Yes, you will need to tune the bike. The engine is getting a lot more air and not enough fuel. With a complete stage one air cleaner and exhaust and proper tune anywhere from 10 to 15 percent over stock. It will very depending on the parts you choose. Ride safe!
@@TonysGarage Thanks Tony, but if I keep the standard exhaust (I like my neighbors :)), is the engine works better with only the new performance air filter and FP3 auto tune?
@@TonysGaragegood news for me Tony, because I think that in Europa the mixture of fuel and air seems to be very low in fuel and the engine is not flexible below 2000 rpm and it heats a lot. Anyway D are the better motorcycle i like.
Hi Tony, I just changed my 2018 Road glide muffler to CFR and upgrade to SE air filter. Do FP3 work for my bike? Also I got advise from local dealer here to use super tuner since they found some problem on ECM from other bike after FP installation.
Fp3 will work fine. I have had zero problems with it on both of my bikes. It will void you’re Harley warrenty once you use it. The dealers all push the super tuner cause it’s a Harley product. Funny thing is that before the super tuner was released they all used fp3s🤣🤣. Ride safe
I know the 2018 street bob is fine not sure about the 2 brother exhaust. You can always use a similar exhaust profile and do a couple of autotunes and you will be golden. Ride safe.
It didn't work at all for me. Had a simple upgrade, even they agreed; but their maps just didn't mix with bike's ECM . Had to do away with new air cleaner and go back to stock.

Thanks for info.
That would be perfect don’t forget to tune.

"Steaming" eagle LOL!
Does it have a setting for rc components exhaust and one for a stock catless headpipe ?
They do not have RC but I put in generic with a high flow air filter. It had a map and I flashed it to my bike. Worked good.
After 3 SERT’s my dealer is trying get me on to this for my next bike. Does it do AFR / Timming / Throttle response and everything else the SERT did?
Yes, but it all has to be manually through a tablet or smart phone so a little tedious.

Hmmm. Question for you. I bought my FLSTC used. It has high flow pipes, but I do not know the manufacturer. Will that affect the mapping?
It will, they will have generic map for high flow. After that you may need to run auto tune to dial it in.
It will handle a Stage 4 110 on a Harley Davidson Touring ..did it this past summer >>>

I took mine off and keep it stashed with extra parts. If it gets stolen you’re screwed
Would you notice a difference and how much of a difference would the tuner make with a new breather and mufflers? Thanks
Depends on the parts installed usually about 10 hp or so.

Yes, but not the entire Warrenty. Example my fuel pump went out and it was still covered.
