- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! You just never know what the next call is going to bring. Sometimes, the seemingly simple job turns into a cumbersome task. We all have days where things just don't want to cooperate. This is one of those days for Ethan. He has to work on a steep incline over a blind hill to recover a car that slid off the road, the driver took the keys, and the steering wheel is turned and locked. This could have been handled many different ways. My common analogy, there are many ways to reach 10. The important thing is the job was completed with no injury and no further damage to the vehicle. I hope you enjoy this video!!!
We have a difficult and dangerous job and we take it very seriously, that doesn't mean we can't have fun and enjoy our work. We strive to be polite, professional, efficient, and safe...and still can have fun. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

What I seen here is someone who has a lack of experience, in a rollback especially, and that is OKAY, he got the job done, and most importantly he didn’t cut corners in terms of his safety, and that’s what matters most here. I can mention 100+ ways he could have done it better, and much faster here, but that’s not the point, he overall got the job done with minimal damage to the vehicle, and made it home safely that night. The inexperience shows, but he knows his steps in terms of safety very well, and that is the most important thing for him to know. At this point in his career, experience will come in time. We learn things every day, as long as we keep our mind open to do so. Great job Ethan, you learned a lot and called out your bad ideas, you are doing a great job young man, keep up the safe work, you will do well.
A heartfelt, thank you. I wish others could see Ethan the way you do, rather than being so critical of him. Experience is learned and earned. As you said, he knows the basics and the safety factors. Now he needs to grow his confidence. Jobs like this are learning experiences. Life isn't easy. Jobs aren't easy. Relationships aren't easy. None of us are perfect. Perseverance, humility, and the ability to learn from our mistakes are all things that help us become better people. Again, a very heartfelt thank you. May God bless you and yours.
Well done. I too could see couple places where things could have been done somewhat differently but he's hasnt had a "ton" of experience yet. The car is on the bed, no damage and working against the bad road odds, Id give him a 9.999 out of 10.
agrree 100% with ROn.. tight shoulders one lane only.. but a good job..glad it were not smee!
I like how Ethan talks to himself while doing the work its good to hear what you guys are thinking...good job Ethan.
I talk to myself a lot in fact sometimes the best information I get comes from me.
That one took all of Ethan's ingenuity to get the job done. On one hand, one feels sorry for the lad, on t'other hand, 'it goes with the territory'!! Either way, the task was completed with no damage to #15, Ethan and no extra damage to the car. Well done Ethan!! Greetings from the UK. God bless.
Ethan you sound just like your dad❤❤
Ethan has a bit of a drawl in his voice, but they do sound similar
I was going to say the same
Like father, like son.
Wait min that's Ethan thought was Ron with a cold lmaooooo
I knew he does I was watching another video of there and thought it Ron talking but I realize it was Ethan
Ethan I love your come back when the officer ask you for your DOB 😂😂😂
Policies need to be change where it doesn’t make it as if the innocents are treated like criminals.
All they really needed was Midwest did the tow.
Nothing wants to go on, or stay on #15 in this video. It's amazing how much easier it seems with the remote vs having to run back to the controls all the time - whether it be being able to steer or hold the brake or whatever. You can feel the frustration - good work sticking it through and not losing your cool and getting the job done Ethan.
Heh, around 5:42 or so, that's a genuine PRATTFALL, right there! Like father, like son. Ethan really is a chip off the ol' block, in so many ways. He doesn't just talk like his old man, or share some mannerisms, he even acts like Ron, right down to the classic Prattfall.
At five minutes in my wife declares, " It's Ethan!"
You sound just like your old man. Great job sir. Keep those videos coming!
Good job Ethan! I have rolled up on several and by the looks of them they look fairly simple but they end up being everything but simple. Thinking outside the box has saved me more than once.
Another masterful job from Ethan Pratt 👏👏
That car sure put up a fight, but you fought back stronger (and, more importantly, smarter)
May God bless and keep the Midwest family safe.
Ethan, you rock brother. U fought the good fight and won. Great job.
😂 ethans helarious.
Like Father like Son. Always finds a way to get the job done, and done safely. Well done Ethan.
He did a good job and kept at it.. watching grandpa and his dad he learned a lot 🙏😊
Yes, perseverance pays off thank you for sharing
That was an epic battle and at the end Ethan got it done. Good job!
Ethan I still remember the video of you digging out a trailer tires when you were about 13 on a call with your dad!
I've been a subscriber for several years and I never get tired of watching you make these runs. This particular one gave Ethan a bit of trouble but I enjoyed watching him try different approaches until he finally got the job done. Good work, Ethan.
Good Job Ethan..
Good morning Ron & Ethan...! Have a safe day & God Bless...!
“Am I going to jail or something”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Enjoyed the video. And yes, Ethan gave us a bit of a chuckle, but he worked thru it.😊
Ethan, your grit and determination impresses me!! Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Stuck in gear, steering locked etc . The terrain didn’t help either. But, you triumphed in the end. Well done sir!! At least it wasn’t raining or dark. If this had been a test, you would have passed with honours!! Your Dad trained you well. Best Wishes Roy W UK
Ethan is one smart cookie! It's good to see Ethan doing pulls and getting some video time! You have brought him up well Ron. He's very smart and very intuitive. Very well-done Ethan!
Thank you for another great video. Stay safe out there. Cheers
I've done several of these--- in the desert and mountains.. always enjoyed recovery work...
That was a great recovery and learning experience
You always get to 10,many thanks for the videos God bless you and yours stay safe cant wait to see your next call
I know those kinds of days all too well. Great job Ethan!
Aww man, that looked all kinds of frustrating. Triumph of Perseverance - it's neither quick nor flashy, but at the end of the day the wreck's on the rollback and everybody comes home.
I might also add that you're catching on and doing a really good job and listening 2 your Dad as well keep up the good work
A lot of work but you got it done, that's what counts and nobody got hurt good job Ethan.Stay safe and blessed 🙏♥️
Good job Ethan, learning more with each next recovery!
Keep up with the good work Ron love watching you on UA-cam god bless
That was not Ron in the video, that was Ethan
@lloydreeves715 that not Ron it’s Ethan he sound like his Dad
Y’all do great work!!
Sometimes it is amazing how a little thing like the steering being turned just a little bit and locked can add so much difficulty. Good job working through it.
Not going to lie, parts of that were painful to watch. But you know what, we were all new once. I'm glad he recorded this and hopefully the guys can watch and pause as needed to discuss everything about this video. There were several parts done right, and many that were wrong, but the entire video can be used as a teaching tool for not only this young man but many others.
Keep after it young man, we were all there once and i promise it'll get easier.
WELL DONE SIR , proud papa you should have 👍👍👍
Ethan you always rise to whatever challenge is given to you that's one of the things I love about your videos. Make sure that the tow vehicle has a bowl of Wheaties the next time before it leaves the shop
Not an easy day when all of the cards aren't in your favor but good lessons never come easy. None of us are born with this knowledge we pick up on it daily, it's what helps us grow and it accumulates into wisdom. Excellent job!
Awesome video thanks for sharing
On a different note: That is situation is exactly what skates where made for, when you need to go in a different direction than what the tires are pointed. I have a set of nylon but wood works as well. Put them under the tires and they slide as the name would imply. If you get a good set you can practically push the vehicle around by hand. They do make the ones with wheels on them, but I don't particularly like them and would rather not use them because in some situations they roll too easy if you know what I mean. Plus the wood or nylon wedges can be made easily in a home shop with a band saw or jig saw.
Every time words came up on the screen, I read it in Ron's voice in my head. LOL
Stay safe Ron and crew. Thank you for what you guys do.
Ethan it looks like the vehicle didn't want to cooperate but you got it put on the trailer very good job. Keep safe and God bless 👍👍👍
Yep, Ethan is learning to do it on his own. I sat here scratching my head trying to figure out how to do it. Outstanding job Ethan and keep on keeping on. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
Nice job Ethan lv ur handy pocket tool box my pocket were the first thing to develope holes
Love work great job gog bless you all ❤❤❤❤
Ethan i could feel the frustration all the way in ohio. Great job, great video
Great job there Ethan.
Good job Ethan! That was a tough one but you kept at it and successfully got that car loaded onto your truck.
Wonderful job Ethan.
Great job Ethan!! That was a very hard simple recovery!! 🙂
Good job Ethan God bless you and yours ✝️ stay safe out there
WOW . A hard fight for him to get it done , i like the idea he keeps his mine on safety for himself and his job. Its oddly enough lots of people will have different ideas how to do this, But until you walk in his place you don't know what is going in his mine. I think he did a great job and was not blocking the other lane , that in its salf makes it hard to do , this young man has come a long way in the business, hat's off to you.
You put up a fight there but you got it done and off the road congratulations and good job
Well done EthanI At one point I would have seriously thought about running away from that darn car.
That got me tired time for a nap 🤣🤣
U did a great job Ethan keep it up
I have never done it that way before but you still got that job done buddy good 👍🏽 I toughT once you had it lifted a bit you would have put your jhooks under back axles and done it that way but learning all this tow stuff is fun and we ll do it our own way whatever gets that job done safe and off we all go home like the videos keep them coming team
“Many ways to get to 10”, said a wise person many times. 👍🇨🇦
Wow I am not going 😢 you can't make me you got him Ron 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Ethan, has become a true tow operator. He took his girl on a tow job. Your dad would be proud Ron.
It's weirdly universal that the "small jobs" are always the ones that seem to come with the most headache. I work in a totally different industry and it gets me constantly too! Well done Ethan!
That was a rough one Ethan but you whipped it, good job buddy
LOL, I thought it was your dad until I saw your wrist. You did a great job. I like how you ask am I going to jail or something. He never asks your dad.
That one gave you a battle but you did it Ron "CONGRATS "
Good job...good job
Well done Ethan, you won in the end sometimes you've just got to work through the crappy problems, consider it a learning experience
Good to see Im not the only one who has a tough time of some jobs :)
Damn great job Ethan
Yes a job well done and yes he do sound like his dad I thought that was him to start with. ⭐️👍
As it turned out, despite the lightness, hard work, Ron
I like how you guys are allowed in your state to have blue red light makes a huge difference and help you guys stay extra safe as ppl think your police from far away I wish we could do that in Canada would keep us a lot safer at the end of the day
Bratt your doing a great job lol
Mr. Pratt, you have every right to do the OFFICIAL PROUD PAPA STRUT!!! Your "little boy" is becoming quite the epic recovery professional! In fact had he not spoken a single word, I'm not real sure that I would have known which of the two of you was actually doing this recovery! At the very beginning, I found myself listening real close to determine which of you was doing the recovery!
Keep up the awesome work, and as always, please continue to be careful and safe. I pray often for our LORD'S protection and safe keeping over you and your entire team/family!
Thank you for the always awesome content!!!!! God bless!!!!!!!
Well done! Gravity is a very tough adversary. Your patience is a lot bigger than mine. It does seem like they might be a better way to carry the extra gear.
I watching your videos and I have my bells on your videos and I'm subscribed to your videos and 😯👍💯🤜🤛🤘🤙🙌👏👊🔥
An awkward one, well done Ethan, God bless 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇮🇱🙏🤪🇬🇧
love all that your team does but i just couldnt watch this one. Many ways to get to 10. to each his own keep up the good work ethan. were all very proud of you!
great job Ethan.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going, Good job Ethan, your a chip off the old block.😄👍💥
You've come a long way mate good on you
Another great job even though it gave you a hard time.
Great job
Great job as usual, doesn't matter which Pratt it is. Threw me for a loop at first.. was wondering why Ron was taller all of the sudden! Ron has done this sort of thing many times before, got me thinking that even if Ron was there, Ethan still would've done the same thing!
Man that car was a pain in the hoo-ah! Sterring wheel kept doing the exact opposite of what it needed to.
Truly a NUT job. when the video started I thought: geez, Ron must have a cold. A little more talking and I knew it was Ethan. Good for you, Eth...
Great job Eathon
Ron and Ethan are very good jobs alots. I am so proud both of you...just be friends 😊
Love that Ethan’s friends can see what he does, and hopefully it helps with the awareness of the situations, especially when it’s conditions like this where there are blind spots. I know so many people who have no respect for first responders and any car sitting on the side of the roads. Thank you, Ron and Ethan for reminding us ALL how important it is to slow down and move over!
Man brother that one was throwing punches at you the whole time, but you did a Rocky and put her down for the count, great job!!!
ETHAN YOUR DOING A GREAT JOB
I thought I was the only one that had weird crap happens all the time on a job! The sliding tool is so ME!
Great Job Ethan
Simple jobs always turns out to be a pain at least when you think it's going to be simple ! Or it does when I go to do something simple ! Ethan I would have put my cones down even though you had police slowing traffic down ! Just as a safety precaution ! But you did a great job ! As always stay safe and God Bless you and your family !
That was a difficult pick but at the end of the day you got it out. I can just imagine the things going throw ur head most definitely your dads voices telling dont give up.
I got a kick as he talked to all the inanimate objects throughout this video. I always did that when working too.
great job Ethan
Ethan did a great job on this one. Sure he may have cut a few corners here and there but giving the car was being stubborn and fighting him the whole 9 yards, I don’t blame him. He got the job done and as fast as he could. Great job Ethan.
Ron I’d like to ask you the million dollar question, have you seen the new M100 and do you plan on acquiring one?
The “ Zips Side Puller Recovery Tool” which inserts and bolts into those mount holes in the end of the deck makes situations like these SO much easier! It’s my favorite tool for flatbed by far. You leave your deck all the way slid forwards and locked in which also saves the extra stress on your deck from trying to snatch block with an extended deck. The tool also creates a bit of up angle pull which helps to get it over the apex of embankments.
Good job buddy, !
