DANGEROUS ROAD BLOCKAGE IN THE FOG!!! TO RUN CODE OR NOT TO RUN CODE? THAT IS THE QUESTION!!!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лют 2024
- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Fog is dangerous...PERIOD. This seemingly simple job where a truck was attempting to pull onto a two lane road off of a side road when he swung a little too wide and ran the tractor off the opposite side of the road. This blocked off the entire highway, in the fog, around a blind curve on one side. This could have quickly turned into a deadly situation. I must work quickly, yet safely, to open the road back up before a catastrophe occurs. Our flagship, Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R Rotator heavy towing and recovery unit makes quick work of this one!!! I hope you enjoy this video!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Ron has such a good relationship with the state patrol, sheriff, local police and all of the fire agencies. It's always a pleasure to watch.
Yes he does and that's great
Ron my brother is 91 years old and has dementia. Your show keeps him calm and he loves to watch it. I have been taking care of him for 4 years now. I took him by your shop the other day so he could see your place. Thanks so much for giving him something in his life that he enjoys. I love that you are a godly man and being respectful to everyone. At one time he watched the news all day and in the evening. I did not like this but now I enjoy watching your show with him. Thanks again and may good bless you.
Good clean job Mr. Pratt. And nice to hear the officer speak of your Dad with admiration. Bless
A new "Ron Pratt" video is the highlight of my Friday mornings!
Good morning Mr Ron
The versatility of the rotator is so awesome, for so many different types of wrecks, recovery's and towing, as you just proved.
Have a good weekend
Move over
Slow down
Drive safe
And watch out for little kids, critters, motorcycles, and blue haired grannies going to Bingo
Ron I have a question I have a Freightliner with no trolly brake what would you do have me set the trailer brake? 🤠
As a 20-year #trucker (now driving buses for #WaltDisneyWorld), I can see exactly why this happened. The #trucker saw that if he took that turn sharp as required, his trailer would have fallen into the ditch. So, he went wide into the dirt on the other side to keep the tandems on the pavement, but got stuck there.
an empty wagon and sinking in the mud on the steers doesnt take much for these modern fiberglass light weights to loose traction on the drives
Should have moved the tamdems more to the front especially if he was empty
@@Newberntrains That and the ground was wet from all the rain they were having and once he hit the grass, he started sliding towards the fence. Stay on the pavement.
Hmm! Best move being if this steering wheel holder want to turn then wait for an intersection. #SMH 🙄👍
When the only "damage" is muddy wheels that is a win!
You can always say the lights are for Easter 😊
Love watching your show.
Don't worry about being late in taking down your Christmas decorations, the world can always use a bit more Christmas!
I would keep my Christmas decorations up all year if my spouse would let me. Ssoooo.. my dollhouses are ALWAYS decorated for Christmas
Yep! We actually still have the roof ligths up on are house haven't had the time to take them down
We've had the same table-top nativity scene and tree up for the better part of a decade. Only a power failure has turned the lights off on the tree!
Good morning Midwest truck family❤..as always a very dangerous but professional recovery,❤✝️God bless...
Nice to see the officer out there willing to help you rather than sitting in the warm car watching you work. Stay safe out there!
Insurance probably restricts who can be on the scene helping Ron and crew.
Ron in the morning with my coffee lol. There is one thing I know and it's the way you know your truck there my friend. Happy for getting another lesson on towing. I think I know enough to help you if you was ever in my neck of the woods lol. Very awesome and happy to watch. God Bless You too my friend.
I like that the Trouper didn’t mind getting his hands dirty
He realized the faster the seen was cleared the less chance of a secondary collision.
@@jasonlott4885 Your computer spelled "scene" wrong, I know you did not do that.
I opened the link in description, may all the lost souls R.I.P and the injured recover asap, man 57 vehicles pileup is very serious incident
They had a very serious one near Fresno, California a few years ago. When you are in fog and you cannot see any vehicles in front of you, SLOW DOWN! I had one person fly past me in heavy thick fog and I caught up to him about 2 miles down the road in a ditch.
Thanks for the great video Ron.
You got that truck going in no time.
Thanks.
The retired Air Force veteran
Love the comment: "This is where the Rotator ........ shines!" Oh Yes!! Better believe it baby!!
Rotator is an amazing truck in the right hands of somebody who knows how to use it like Ron. God bless you!!
Enjoy starting a Friday early morning watching Ron Pratt recoveries, thumbs up great video
Hi Ron, thanks your the video. I love your videos. You are so professional and respectful
Ron, it was nice to see the rotator in the news clips of the I-57 pileup. I know we'll never see your footage from that per your long standing policy. But wanted to send my thanks to you and your crew for taking care of what needed to be taken care of. God Bless you and employees.
That job on I-57 must have been a real horror story and total nightmare to deal with. Hope your team that 'worked' it have all recovered from the trauma. Greetings from the UK. God bless.
I can understand not running the full code in those conditions. That foggy is bad enough on drivers, let alone having sirens and extra lights going off. Stay safe out there!
When a professional with the right equipment shows up it does make the job much simpler not that it's simple but knowing what to do and having the right equipment makes a big difference ! Great video thanks for sharing it ! God Bless and stay Safe ! 👍👍
Thank you Ron, you are Al w ays so calm and controlled. Love your work. Shows your faith.
Another great job by Mr. Ron. Enjoyed the video roll at the end.
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
FROM AUSTRALIA
Love this stuff. Thanks and God bless.
Another easy recovery for the wrecker and as of today Ron I am 2.5 years sober
You make it look so easy Ron! Stay safe out there.
yeah - I think power lines attract fog! Good job getting him out so fast
the way the boys in blue are willing to give you a hand like they do (unhooking the blue line from the rig), i think is because you're such a good guy. plus the cross-training you do with them and the fact your company is recovery, not repo helps.keep up the good work!
That truck is a life saver. Youale it looks so easy. You are always respectful . Take care.
Thanks Ron for all you do
Easy breezy job, glad no one was hurt . Thanks for your helping hand 🙂
Ron, the master at work. Excellent job as always sir.
Nice and easy. Just the way you like them! Great job Ron!!
Good one Ron! Have a great weekend!
Good morning Ron. Great video. You did an awesome job as usual! Take care and have a good one! 👍❤️
BRAVO!! Great work!!
I look forward to Friday mornings and watching your videos!
Good Job Ron 👍
IT's great when you know what you you're doing with your equipment and the distant of stay ability to get that great big trailer to turn safely back on to the road. Great job Midwest Truck - well done!!! It shows how much we appreciate your skills when things go haywire LOL!!!
What an impressive versatile machine....believe the driver at first thought you may be crazy pulling into him nose first 🤣 The trooper just wanted his road open so he could get along with his day
Thanks Ron! I like how you did the ending. Great way of finishing your video. ❤. Blessings from Ontario Canada
I blame cell phones. Cell phones killed the Citizens Band radio. I could say that most of them driver's had their cruse control on and drove right into the fog with no idea what's behind that wall. Stay Safe Driver's.
I am an ham here in the UK and yes I do agree with you.
I do not disagree, but why are we blaming cell phones in this specific case?
@@williammain7281Truckers used to talk to each other while on the road, among other things putting out general warnings about road conditions. With one such transmission you could reach dozens of other truckers, anyone who was in range and had their “ears on” meaning had their CB on and listening to radio traffic. Typically CBS stayed on as long as a driver was in the cab, whether in motion or parked somewhere.
You can’t do that with cell phones. Closest you can get is to alert local LEOs who may, or critically may not, have the ability to put out such alerts over cell phone networks. Such alerts are useless if you are using the wrong carrier, and even best case it can take hours for such alerts to go out. By that time it can be too late.
@@williammain7281
It is that wreck that the cop and Ron was discussing. Not this incident.
It's sad I've been out here driving otr for 17 yrs now I still run a big radio but never knew nothing else but fog scares me more then anything else I still use a map to but cell phones are distracting even happens to me sometimes
Great safe speedy recovery 👍
another awesome job
Good job! Stay safe.
Thanks Ron...
Nice work Ron, stay safe out there…
Always love the respect everyone has for one another. You, police, fire department and others.
That Sgt. reminded me of a time when I was "side swiped" by a young Lads manners back in 2015. I've gotten used to my military disabilities not fit for public, but I still try to live. After stopping at a gas station to use the restrooms and get coffee for me and the driver; I made my way to exit. This young Lad must of seen me heading to the doors as hes hall day across the distance from the Bank between fueling and parkin; he ran up, yanked the door open (almost falling backwards on his rear end), and said "after you". Boy if a big smile didn't move his ears to the backside of his head when I said "thank you kind Sir" with a smile on my face. His Dad was a car length back from making the step up to the store and he was grinning too! I said thank you for raising such a fine gentleman and we both swapped a teary eyed handshake.
I was raised to Pay it Forward, but now days it's like ancient memories 😢 I've been trying to raise our Son on good head on his shoulders, kindness is free so give it away, dare to be different, and education\knowledge is more important than being powerful. Sadly too, social services workers at his school has taught him in all his 17 years that it's abusive and I have no right to have him because I can barely take physical care of myself.
So, we share my "war stories" and enjoy watching your videos these past 3 years. Since then he has learned I'm not full of fluff n smoke after all 😊 He has come to see both the good people (you're teamwork and attitude) and bad people (not so friendly social services workers) and has made up his mind he is more than capable to "kill bad people with kindness" as he says. He treats whoever is bullying him with respect and politeness.. he also stopped getting bullied too. And he also has made a point with the Adult bullies that they haven't walked a mile in his Mom's shoes, they shouldn't pass false judgements, and all. It's been a quiet year so far and he has grown so much with our "t. v. time" together to watch another one of your videos. Thank you! To ALL Midwest Truck, Police, State Troopers, EMTs, and extra hands of help.
Another great video to start the day, Stay safe and blessed 🙏❤️
Glad to see you are doing much better with your health
good afternoon from oxfordshier GB be safe you all good job ron 😊✌👍
Another perfect recovery! Stay safe.
If you want to leave your Christmas decorations on for another month or two, that's wonderful.
Good work. Thinking about the safety of everyone involved.
I think it's brilliant that the trooper helped you at the end.😊
That beast is a joy to watch.
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.
Great job (as usual)! Don't worry about the Christmas decorations--aren't we supposed to keep the spirit of Christmas all year long?
You got that right. Versatile.
Great Job Sir!
What's wrong celebrating Christmas year round we little ones love presents 🎁 ripe paper off to see what's inside , Wow a Mr Ron video and recovery of a trucker having a bad morning in his rig. Shiney side up dirty side down. And roll on down the road 😊
Nice job as always Ron! I noticed that it looked like the Rotator's "Check Engine" light was on in this video.
Great recovery, found memories of your Father. Little or no damage.
Nice work! 👏👏👏💪💪💪
great job sare and quick
Another nice one Ron. Thanks 👍👍🙂
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO RON 😊
NASTY fog.Great to see it done safely.😍👍✌
Some of these truck drivers don't think at all
From my point of view, that fog is pretty light but still enough to screw up people who don't "Drive to the Conditions".
Another nice neat job sir. I can understand why you didn't push the speed getting there. That surface moisture can be toxic.
Rotator with Mr Ron Pratt. Thanks for the video
Glad to see you still have the Roo.
Ok, you made my day. I cannot wait to see you and eat my Lunch. I love that you are known on Facebook I can see the videos on their know during the week.
Nice job Ron
At least you got there & state got there & blocked the whole thing so nobody did hit it your right luckily no one did hit him we have had some VERY heavy fogs in the past few weeks
Short and sweet
Hay. You didn't toot your horn when opening the lane for trk to drive away. Nice vid. Glad all were safe with this incident. Leave the decorations on that way you prepared for next year😅
Good morning from New Hampshire
I must say your rotator is a piece of art and machinery that could be matching on for power and of course your skill behind it!
Haven’t seen Gaven in a while. Hope all is well. ❤️
Nice one Ron mate
Long time subscriber. First time ive seen the taters boom on the left front side!!❤❤ stay safe and god bless
#wherestalon
I miss Talon too in his videos hopefully we will see him in some soon
Awesome job
That was an easy simple job I enjoy when you do it afterwards the high-speed video
Glad to see a job where the driver called for help and the police weren't to busy, thus you had plenty of protection. Lucky the truck driver didn't try to get him self out, which made the rotator rescue look easy.
Great job
Ron, I have requested you to be a judge in Matt's off road games. You would be a perfect judge. I have watched you for years.
This is the only gator program I watch. Really enjoy it
Congrats
How many State Troopers out there pulling cables 😂 Good on you sir
cool work
👋 hi 👋
From Dexter 🏠 Missouri
Super💯awesome video. As always.
Have a super💯Amazin weekend.
I watching your videos and I have my bells on your videos and I'm subscribed to your videos and 🙏🔥👍😱🤜🤛
Nice video!
Fog is far more dangerous than folks realize.. Somehow when you're responding to incidents, I think about the CHiPs theme music and some cool drone shots of the rotator :)
Good Morning from Chicago area…..Hey Ron I think it’s time to take down your Christmas decorations 😂😂😂
