@Nguyen Khoa a buddy owns a 12' Nismo and a 2016 mustang GT both boosted at the same and the Z pulls harder, the Z feels more like a sports car and isn't heavy as the GT which feels like driving a sedan ( i test drived a 2019 GT).
@Nguyen Khoa also what was a huge 2 deal breakers for me that made me went for a 2015+ nismo was that the back tires were much wider and an inch bigger than the 18 inch stock wheels on the 2019 GT, and the stang was auto. Lots of issues with the 2018+ mustangs both with engine knocks and trannys being recalled which is a nightmare to fix on their 10-speed auto. Wasn't paying 40k for a 18 inch wheel heavy v8

The Z any day of the week, handling is outstanding, power is enough, and after 10 years or so there’s a better chance it’ll still be running reliably with Japanese engineering
I'll take the Z. Yes the interior is outdated as heck and new ones are a rip-off value wise but they are more fun and special to drive even with less horsepower
The 370 has been out for 10 years. They need to seriously update everything about it. Its not a bad car, I'd still take one. But for what they want for them, they need to be improved. I also love that the Mustang doesnt have a single Mustang or Ford badge on it. EVERYONE KNOWS lol
If you want the bragging rights of having an all motor v8, get the mustang..if you want a fun handling car get the z. Both cars have a nice sounding exhaust sound with the right exhaust system

People who buy a Z dont care about lame ass fancy interior lmao, its a track/ tuner car. Take them both to the track and you wouldnt see the mustang in the rear view after the first 2 turns. Also with a few bolt ons and tune you get a drastic increase in power for not allot of money. Slap a twin turbo kit or supercharger on with a stock bottom end get 700hp, decimates GT-Rs and everything else for less money. Why do u think Nissan never turbocharged the Z or changed the interior? Because it would take away business from their top dog GT-R

From a performance point they aren’t even in the same class. The Z is also an extremely old outdated format. Any one who chooses that thing over a mustang is doing so just because that’s what they want.

Verisimilitude Dude the Z has been out since early 2000’s. I get this is a 370 and not a 350. The whole car in general is extremely dated looking. And basically was a “cool” car back when the 350 came out. That was my point. It wasn’t literal. The “Z” in general is an outdated format from a time when cars had less power and less actual “toughness” in general to their look. It’s basically a cute car.
I think it comes down to what you in the market for. Performance car = 370z. Muscle car = Mustang. Next I would consider the price of mods for each car depending on what i was trying to build in the end. I went for 2016 gt pp. Only problem I have is you cant drive the car five miles without the black rims turning brown from brake dust. I definitely need to change factory pads for ceramic ones.
Great video. The 370z uses old school engineering and rather dated. Still looks sharp as heck though... For my money, I would go for a Ford Mustang Ecoboost (add a Performance tune) or a Chevrolet Camaro V6 in 5th gen or 6th gen form and do some modifications.The 370z new car price for 2018 - 2019 - 2020 is way too high for what you get.

I have to say guys, on a related topic, I am COMPLETELY in love with my 2013 G37x! I've owned Bimmers, Audi's, Alfa Romeo, but this thing truly is a 370z with 4 doors. It's fast, dives into corners with 100% confidence, hydraulic steering with TONS of road feel, with luxury and cheap parts costs. No more overrated, expensive BMW's for this guy! Lol 😉
As soon as i read the video title i quickly said "No". I own a 370z and as much as I love it I know the new 5.0s are better in terms of value. Brand new 50k nismo vs 50k mustang GT. No comparison, more power, more tech. I dont know how the mustang feels to drives though. That being said on the used market I honestly think 370z are a good deal for a sports car. I picked mine up for 17k Sport Touring 2011 with 49k miles. Mustangs are everywhere, and 370s arent as common, and really like the look of 370s. ALSO VQ+ Tomei exhaust system = damn good sounding engine.
Spotted behind the Nissan - a Chevy SS with Holden badges. Designed and built in Oz with a Chevy drivetrain. Here in Oz, we put Chevy badges on the Holden, and vice-versa in the States. If you get a chance to drive an SS, you should jump at it Joe. You'll see the kind of muscle cars we drive here in Oz. It's a shame Holden shut down as a manufacturer in 2017.
I love the Z series car's.. I've owned 3 05, 07 ,13 never an issue with any of them I just got sick of the dashboards and no style change. Now I would take the Mustang in either a I4, V6 or V8 over the Z the interior is just that much better in the New Mustang.
That is a tough choice for me, and with the Challenger, Camaro and Supra that choice is amplified. It's a good time to be a performance coupe enthusiast.

Price difference to a 370z Nismo and Gt premium in Australia is $2000aud ,we don't sell the basic gt in Australia so we cant compare base models in cloth trim . 370z N sport is $14000aud less than Gt premium
Joe- just bought my wife a 2016 370Z convertible! It’s an awesome car for 20k IMO. 23 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the hwy.. She fell in love with those years ago so - happy wife happy life!😁😁👍. It’s a great tire to run around town. Still got my ZO6 though.

The 370 is so tired and out of date. I remember when Z cars were special like the 300z TT from the 90's and the original 240z. They used to be competitive within the car scene but now you don't even notice them on the road anymore. Hell I remember when the 350z came out 17 years ago and I thought is was such a cool car but never measured up to the 300z TT it replaced. I mean hell they put the 3.5 and 3.7l in the Altima albeit detuned but damn nothing special. It's almost like Nissan gave up on the Z line and forgot about it like Milton from Office Space.
I love the Z and plan on getting one but only thing that irks me is the big ass sun strip on the windshield that takes up damn near half the whole thing

While the tech would be much better in the mustang. The 370z at higher prices is not a good deal. It is not bad at lower prices. The Sports Touring trim is at $40000 which is way to much Note I have a 370z sports touring but a 2009 version which I love. But would not buy a 2019 version. I would go for the Supra. Mine has had no issues regarding reliability at all no repairs or recalls
john cooper yea but in 2020 those prices have changed the gt is around 55,000 for full option the Nismo is around 48,000 the 50ty anv is around 35,000 and you could probably get a new 370z for 30,000 but I think everyone who was watching this meant a used one which can go from 20,000 to 26,000 depending on miles but yes you are correct they should be comporting eco boost to this car same hp pretty much
The mustang is far superior in just about everything. This is a no contest pick. The 370z hasn’t changed in 15 years and the interior reflects that. Mustang wins in everything but cornering.
Verisimilitude Dude I’m coupling the 350z and 370z together since they’re very similar cars and don’t have a ton of difference between the two. since the 370z eventually took over and the 350 was no longer produced that’s why I said 15 years. If you look at the interior of a 03 350z and look at the 18 370z interior they’re almost the exact same and not much has changed engine wise either.
@@idohearthatersdgk I've owned both and the 370 Z not only has 32 more horsepower, but has the VVEL system making it much more responsive at low throttle. The interior was much improved over the 350Z in my opinion. Sadly though, it's past it's prime and you can get so much more car for the money. When I get into some more money here this year I might trade my 370Z sport edition in for the 2019 or 2020 Mustang GT
Had initially wanted the 370Z in 2016 and GF was like WTF, how about the kids???...I guess it's a nah for that Z! So I went for a Camaro and I was like holy shit it looks like a tank and ended up going home with a 16 S550 GT! Now the 18-19's are out and they're super fast for $$$!
Man, I love both! But, because of model year, I would rather buy a 2017 Mustang than a 2018 Nissan 370Z. Just because the look of some of the original 370Z's look fantastic, an they have just slightly changed the overall design over the years. I liked this review though, it was good.

Negative chief. We are living the era where American sports cars are the Best performance per dollar. Ford funnily realized Americans love proper sports cars and Chevy soon followed. Japan is still making eco shit boxes but hopefully the Supra revival brings back some Japanese legends.
These are both excellent cars, HOWEVER (!) I wish people would stop comparing them. One is a purpose-built Sports Car, and one is a sophisticated Muscle car. It's kinda like comparing a Led Paul to a Telecaster. Both great designs with much different sonic fingerprints 🚗🎸
Mustang gt was the car to have when fox body’s were out there a lot better options now rpucsh saleen terminator gt500 gr350 to choose from but like another post says on here you see mustang everywhere and Camaros etc I wanted a car that I hardly every see if I do I give the guy thumbs up so I went with a 370z convertible which I love you can tune them to make super fast hp and take the speed limiter off etc .
The only mustang I would take over the 370z is the new Bullit edition because it's rare unique limited edition but other than that I'd take 370z over a mustang GT you see GT every city street corner
I had 370z convertible and eco boost convertible both are nice beautiful strong cars the eco boost is nice fast 310 hp beautiful car and man you can drive 24 hours on the road it is super comfy to drive and sit and not very low on the ground but you will see a lot of gaps in the bumper hood a lot they don’t do the measurement right and the exhaust on the eco boost sound garbage now the 370z I think it is 340 hp the v6 engine sound amazing fast car but it have some issues too if you are like me 6 feet tall you will feel tight when you sit and it is low on the ground but both are beautiful cars but I think I tried both I’ll buy now the mustang gt looking for one in orange color with black rims and btw I did own the mustang two years all I did was oil change they drive very well and last long and the Nissan as well they last long but for each his own if I had money enough I’ll definitely own a 370z and mustang gt

For a daily driver the mustang. For handling and as a drivers car the Nissan. The problem is Ford is putting Chinese junk transmissions in the mustang and there are many accounts of the five liter making ticking sounds.
Well, the 370 Z is a nice sexy looking sports car, and I'm sure it handles pretty good. BUT! the Mustang GT has got that mean and lean look to it and I'm very sure it will eat up some pavement. Used to have a heavily modded 370Z. Currently repping a 2019 Shelby GT350. Both are great cars but oh, what an improvement.

Baisc commodore ss in cloth trim was $3000 cheaper than a 370z in 2017

That is a tough choice for me, and with the Challenger, Camaro and Supra that choice is amplified. It's a good time to be a performance coupe enthusiast.

The 2018s are even faster too, and just like the intro of your video....”the sound!” The sound the coyote makes is so glorious. You can debate the EcoBoost might still be a better car...lol, especially the one with the focus rs engine.

Price difference to a 370z Nismo and Gt premium in Australia is $2000aud ,we don't sell the basic gt in Australia so we cant compare base models in cloth trim . 370z N sport is $14000aud less than Gt premium

Joe- just bought my wife a 2016 370Z convertible! It’s an awesome car for 20k IMO. 23 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the hwy.. She fell in love with those years ago so - happy wife happy life!😁😁👍. It’s a great tire to run around town. Still got my ZO6 though.

This is true Jose! The Z is a blast to drive on a tight twisty road though.
The 370 is so tired and out of date. I remember when Z cars were special like the 300z TT from the 90's and the original 240z. They used to be competitive within the car scene but now you don't even notice them on the road anymore. Hell I remember when the 350z came out 17 years ago and I thought is was such a cool car but never measured up to the 300z TT it replaced. I mean hell they put the 3.5 and 3.7l in the Altima albeit detuned but damn nothing special. It's almost like Nissan gave up on the Z line and forgot about it like Milton from Office Space.

Z is in the ecoboost price range, in Canada GT is around 10k more expensive. With the extra money, you can mod the Z to be much better than the GT

The 370z at higher prices is not a good deal. It is not bad at lower prices. The Sports Touring trim is at $40000 which is way to much
Note I have a 370z sports touring but a 2009 version which I love. But would not buy a 2019 version. I would go for the Supra. Mine has had no issues regarding reliability at all no repairs or recalls

john cooper yea but in 2020 those prices have changed the gt is around 55,000 for full option the Nismo is around 48,000 the 50ty anv is around 35,000 and you could probably get a new 370z for 30,000 but I think everyone who was watching this meant a used one which can go from 20,000 to 26,000 depending on miles but yes you are correct they should be comporting eco boost to this car same hp pretty much
The mustang is far superior in just about everything. This is a no contest pick. The 370z hasn’t changed in 15 years and the interior reflects that. Mustang wins in everything but cornering.

Verisimilitude Dude I’m coupling the 350z and 370z together since they’re very similar cars and don’t have a ton of difference between the two. since the 370z eventually took over and the 350 was no longer produced that’s why I said 15 years. If you look at the interior of a 03 350z and look at the 18 370z interior they’re almost the exact same and not much has changed engine wise either.
@@idohearthatersdgk I've owned both and the 370 Z not only has 32 more horsepower, but has the VVEL system making it much more responsive at low throttle. The interior was much improved over the 350Z in my opinion. Sadly though, it's past it's prime and you can get so much more car for the money. When I get into some more money here this year I might trade my 370Z sport edition in for the 2019 or 2020 Mustang GT

Had initially wanted the 370Z in 2016 and GF was like WTF, how about the kids???...I guess it's a nah for that Z! So I went for a Camaro and I was like holy shit it looks like a tank and ended up going home with a 16 S550 GT! Now the 18-19's are out and they're super fast for $$$!

Man, I love both! But, because of model year, I would rather buy a 2017 Mustang than a 2018 Nissan 370Z. Just because the look of some of the original 370Z's look fantastic, an they have just slightly changed the overall design over the years. I liked this review though, it was good.

Performance wise both are great, design wise Mustang. Interior, MUSTANG! Nissan needs to upgrade the interior, it looks and feels so outdated that I can't even consider a 370Z.

Negative chief. We are living the era where American sports cars are the Best performance per dollar. Ford funnily realized Americans love proper sports cars and Chevy soon followed. Japan is still making eco shit boxes but hopefully the Supra revival brings back some Japanese legends.

These are both excellent cars, HOWEVER (!) I wish people would stop comparing them. One is a purpose-built Sports Car, and one is a sophisticated Muscle car. It's kinda like comparing a Led Paul to a Telecaster. Both great designs with much different sonic fingerprints 🚗🎸

Mustang gt was the car to have when fox body’s were out there a lot better options now rpucsh saleen terminator gt500 gr350 to choose from but like another post says on here you see mustang everywhere and Camaros etc I wanted a car that I hardly every see if I do I give the guy thumbs up so I went with a 370z convertible which I love you can tune them to make super fast hp and take the speed limiter off etc .
I'll still take the 370Z over the Mustang any day.

The only mustang I would take over the 370z is the new Bullit edition because it's rare unique limited edition but other than that I'd take 370z over a mustang GT you see GT every city street corner
I had 370z convertible and eco boost convertible both are nice beautiful strong cars the eco boost is nice fast 310 hp beautiful car and man you can drive 24 hours on the road it is super comfy to drive and sit and not very low on the ground but you will see a lot of gaps in the bumper hood a lot they don’t do the measurement right and the exhaust on the eco boost sound garbage now the 370z I think it is 340 hp the v6 engine sound amazing fast car but it have some issues too if you are like me 6 feet tall you will feel tight when you sit and it is low on the ground but both are beautiful cars but I think I tried both I’ll buy now the mustang gt looking for one in orange color with black rims and btw I did own the mustang two years all I did was oil change they drive very well and last long and the Nissan as well they last long but for each his own if I had money enough I’ll definitely own a 370z and mustang gt
Just traded in my 370z for a Mustang GT. I loved my 370z and before that I had a 350z. The 370z looks a lot better then the GT, but a stock GT is WAY FASTER then a 370z Nismo...

Had a 370z, not even close my mustang is better. The only thing i miss abot the z is because of the reduced weight it feels more nimble.

Well, the 370 Z is a nice sexy looking sports car, and I'm sure it handles pretty good. BUT! the Mustang GT has got that mean and lean look to it and I'm very sure it will eat up some pavement. You didn't mention the exhaust note for either car, but I gotta go with the GT there too. Ford Mustang GT is just a better sports car, in my opinion. Great job Joe, keep em' comin', thanks!
