these are the tips:) -give ur body more rest days, and rest more between sets -try progressive overload -try HIIT workouts (she explains it) -come up with a schedule and plan your workouts!! -increase your TDE (she explains it) -eat to fuel your body (your body needs it!!!) -ENJOY LIFE loved this video💕
As someone recovering from an eating disorder, thank you for promoting such a good message and making sure girls know that they are beautiful no matter how much they eat, or what they look like
Of course girls are so beautyful despite what they eat! Girls should be spending more time enjoying their youth, doing things they like, instead wasting time counting calories, and things like that, if you are doing fun things, eventually you lose weight without noticing, you are young remember? Dont waste your time, and have fun, lestn new things, dont visit the lier media
I usually don't comment on videos but I just wanted to say that I think it's great how you spread such a healthy message because I know so many girls that struggle with their bodies and what/ the way they eat and most people on social media promote all these insecurities. Thank you for sharing these non toxic tips and making a change!! xx
Progressive overload is when you gradually increase weight, reps, or frequency when training. What you were describing sounds more like "training to failure" - aka training to the point of temporary muscular failure. It's been a few months since you posted this so you may have learned this by now, but I just wanted to share this for any new people that might be watching / reading this.
Yes thank you! I rewatch this video sometimes and cringe, but I definitely meant training til failure and I talk about that more now instead. Thank you so much though for clarifying for everyone!
hi!! i just wanted to say what you’re doing for yourself is so huge and i’m so proud of you!! you probably don’t need to hear it but it’s always nice to hear how good of a job you’re doing especially when you’re doing something hard but beneficial, i wish you luck and kindness during your progress and i hope you’re happy and doing well 🤍
Wow! This video really shocked me. So many of these type of videos I watch promote such unhealthy messages, but this one was the exact opposite! As an anorexia survivor, this was so refreshing to watch. Thank you.
Thank you so much ❤️ I agree, and I knew UA-cam needed a little switch up with things, especially as someone that also struggled with an ED, I wanted fitness tips that focused more on feeling good, not looking good
To anyone who's reading this: You are strong. You are beautiful. You are powerful. Remind yourself that working out is not a punishment for what you ate, but a celebration of what your body can do! I hope you have a fantastic day :))
1.Give yourself break in b/w days aw well as workouts 2.Progressive overload 3.HIIT 4.Schedule 5.Increase your daily TDE- total daily energy expenditure 6.Eat to fuel your body- strengthen your body as well as your mind
I usually no comment in videos but I wanna thank you for spreading healthy messages like these, and for helping me to be so harsh with myself. I’m still learning how to stay fit without all the pressure that media sometimes put on us
I came across this video and it just felt meant to be…. I’ve just started my journey 2 weeks ago, what a challenging journey! It brought tears to my eyes just to know it IS a process..I love how you pointed out progressive overload and taking breaks even between your workouts because I think it’s so important and it’s something I’ve also learned has helped me and has pushed me harder!
You make SO much sense. I’m 55 years old and have struggled with a negative relationship with food. Thanks for the tips. Also the model story is so accurate. Thanks for bringing it to the forefront. Keep up the great sharing you do. I’m a new subscriber!
I love how you are talking about the female revelation that you had!! I had the exact same thing recently and it’s so crazy because you can know something for years but not emotionally connect to it until later and BAM! That’s how I feel haha
the message she said at the last part really hits me, i was so insecure to those on social media flexing their bodies and i realized people have flaws, omg thank you
My favorite thing she's said in all of this was that expectations are all fake and being happy and enjoying being alive is the ultimate goal. Like I love preaching that. Be your favorite person. Do whatever it takes to make sure that self love is there. Don't live another day hating the only person whose ever had your back full, yourself.
This video was so good. For just a moment, I lost sight of my goals: taking care of myself, getting stronger and improving my relationship with my body, mind and food! I felt a lot of what you were saying. Thank you for this 🥰
This was really helpful as someone recovering from an eating disorder and I overshot in recovery and am on meds that cause weight gain, so now I need to lose weight without ruining my relationship with food again. I'm going to implement some of these tips without placing any limit on what I eat.
i agree with the breaks tip. i used to do ab exercises every day during quarantine, but recently i started doing ab exercises again but only for 4-5 days a week. i saw more results when i did ab workouts only every other day or only a fews days a week with rest days.
Thank you so much for making this video, I really loved hearing you talk about your life experiences and how you don't restrict your diet either. I'm currently trying to tone myself and lose weight so this really helps, thanks! 💕
Glad I saw this video today, I haven’t been eating enough recently because I was like it’ll help me lose weight but it’s only gonna force my body to retain fat for “survival” because I’m not eating enough to fuel my body for my body to give the okay to reduce fat
I love how you know YOU… like how the exercise will affect your body… knowing your basic needs and improvising with the exercise. It is amazing how your tips and tricks would not be as accurate as the trainers in my gym. But I have this vibe that tells me that I went through the same thing… and I do believe you… so thank you so much. Atleast I know I’m doing what my body needs and nobody can tell me not to ….unless I’m not informed on the topic. Amazing transformation ❤️🔥💯
I am glad you are spreading this great message. It is important to let yourself eat the foods you crave and get away from a diet mentality. I am a future dietitian and very grateful to see my generation and younger generations getting away from this mentality and living life to the fullest. Allowing yourself to rest if you dont feel like exercising and listening to your body and you hung cues is essential. Thank you for using your platform for good!
I love that so much and I agree! I’m glad we are all making a shift to showcase a healthy relationship with all types of food & eating ❤️ thank you and I’m excited for you becoming a dietitian
I LOVE this video, it’s so refreshing getting real advice and I can relate a lot with your journey to feel stronger and have a good relationship with food.
Ahh thank you I agree, the most important thing is feeling your best, physically AND mentally. Restriction and having a bad relationship with food is not the way to go
This video just pop up on my UA-cam stream probably because I have been doing exercise, but I’m glad I watched it. I wish there were more real videos like this. Social media and beauty companies are just messing us up, and trying to sell us something that is not real. Good thing I don’t fall into it but there are millions of people out there who do, and it’s sad.
You can definitely work out everyday, but train different muscles. For example: Abs on one day, legs/butt on the next and then arms the next. Also if you just start out try to start low intensity if you work out everyday once you get used to it you can increase the intensity:-)
@@Nina-ci4lt Thanks for this! I've been working out everyday for 2 weeks straight already. I used to have 1+2 days off but since I have a lot of time now and seizing it, also coping mechanism on stress I didn't have any rest off since 2 weeks ago but every 7th day it's pretty short workout.
few questions for Q & A 1. how do you not workout/take rest days without feeling guilty? 2. how do you resist the urge to restrict when others around you are heavily restricting (ex. a friend says “i haven’t ate anything all day” or a situation like that) 3. how do you avoid projecting your eating disorder thoughts amongst your family members? i struggle with this a lot. for example, my mom will have a huge tub of icecream right after dinner. how do i avoid projecting my negative thoughts onto her, bc usually i end up saying something commenting on how much she is eating and i feel horrible afterwards. sorry if these were confusing to read, english isn’t my first language. thank you
Hey! As someone who’s still on this journey I figured I’d share some things that work for me🙂 take these as points to consider and not an exact guideline. We all have a different process + journey and no one’s is better than the others!💜 1. I think we have to rethink “workout”. I stretch every single day. Nothing too fancy but making sure my muscles are loose and my body is being considered outside of the gym is important. I also do “mental” workouts, so journaling, stuff like that. So if you’re not doing a physical workout, you can still move that day. Just make sure to listen to your body. It’s better to give your best with your best vs. giving bc you fear the guilt of rest. Change that narrative: rest is a beautiful thing! 2. Do your best to not project onto others or let other project onto you. And don’t act out of guilt, act out of consciousness. One thing that helped me is sometimes I journal before I eat if I’m having a hard day. I’ll just ask “how does this serve me?” And sometimes it’s bc I’m hungry, or I’m feeling weak, I want a snack. Sometimes I didn’t have an answer and knew that meant I was eating out of emotion to fill a void. So staying conscious of your choices is helpful. 3. As someone who still deals with bulimia and binge eating, I’ve started thinking of how I’d talk to my childhood self when I’m having an episode or about to. You wouldn’t talk down to your 6 year old self for having ice cream, so don’t do that your mom or to yourself! Kind of goes back to the conscious eating I mentioned above. Show yourself and others some grace :) Sorry this was so long but hope it helps💜😊
Starting intuitively eating 2 months ago. Followed your advice and ended up losing 10 pounds (which isn’t a lot ) but I am way stronger than ever and much leaner . And I have the best relationship with food !! Some days I have my cultural foods and some days I eat super clean . Love your videos and thank you so much for the help 🙏
Thank you for promoting a healthy relationship with food and with exercise, I used to be addicted to both and I love hearing that others have also found freedom and empowerment with eating and working out.
Wow... honestly thank you so much for letting me know! when I first started, I hated when I ate any sort of food and kinda starved myself.. and didn’t give my body any rest (I’d workout almost all week), I was physically exhausted and mentally tired AND I had school at the same time which was MORE tiring. Little story - This one time I almost fell asleep while were eating supper because I was so tired and didn’t really eat as well..but now I’m starting fresh and gonna start caring about both of my physical and mental health! Remember everyone give yourselves rest and food! You got this!
Yes I love that! I felt the exact same way, when I deprived myself or tried restricting myself I'd wake up STARVING in the middle of the night. Now I don't think twice about eating a bigger meal or snack
@@MorganVenn did you reverse diet to up your calories gradually? I am Intaking a very low amout of calories while working out and it isn't going well for my physical or mental health. I want to gradually up my intake to nourish/fuel my body while also eating enough protein to tone my body. Im scared that upping my intake will make me gain fat or make me lose my progress. Did this happen to you? Any tips? I feel so stuck especially before summer🥺
I hate how everything now days are so photoshopped to sell the products such a bad marketing you are right we need to enjoy our food and first of all I am so glad I have a food to eat instead of complaining and regretting what I ate 😍
Always when I eat desert or white flour I plame myself too much and I thout that all my efforts (diet and workout) waisted , and I couldn't do a healthy life style, I just wanna lose belly fats, but I decided to listen to my body and enjoy the trip! Not forcing myself to stay in a healthy life style, just I'll do that cause I love that
You send such a good message at the end! Yeah we all kinda know that these perfect looking images are posed, airbrushed etc... but even knowing that our brains are still like “man, but IF I did look like this..” and it’s not until it really truly hits us that this is toxic that we starting feeling more free! What really helped me is the “same time different pose” pics on IG, now when I look at my legs and see some dimples I don’t think “ok, sign I need to work harder”, I think “beautiful and natural”. Thanks for an awesome video 😃
I've been working out 5-7 days a week consistently for almost a year, i drink at least a gal of water per day, i do hiit/yoga/weight training/dance etc (mix of workouts to change it up), i eat well & make sure i get all the vitamins and nutrients needed. I still haven't lost any weight.
Sometimes a weight scale is not the best indicator of weight loss. Taking pictures and measuring your body (using measuring tape) can be another way to see progress. Also being on a caloric deficit is important. I hope this help.
Very helpful. I have been wanting to just tone my body since I have a bunch of health conditions which makes eating painful and some physical movements painful. This reminded me it should be enjoyable not stressful and try to better my body. Happy with my body and how it looks, just wanna feel better about its physical capabilities.
I just started weight training couple weeks ago. In the same boat as you before...only cardio, low calorie diet and I was still not happy with my body. Maybe I will be able to do a pull up one day :)
Progressive overload is nothing to do with collapsing.. but slowly and gradually increasing the resistance over a period of time as your strength and muscle grow.
Great video! I’ve been getting frustrated. I recently quit counting calories, started intuitive eating and doing Lilly Santi workout (love her) I haven’t seen any results yet. I need to remember it hasn’t even been long.
Yes I agree it takes time ❤️ but! Even more importantly do you feel different with your mindset around food? That’s one thing I loved with intuitive eating.. I stopped overthinking as much
i loved the vid and your tips ❤️ the changes in your body are really visible and you radiate good energy! just one thing (and I’m not personal trainer Or anything) but when you do lat Pull downs don’t hyperextend your upper back so much cause it can really hurt your lower back. 🥰
Thank you for this vidéo. I like the fact that you promote a healthy way of life. I hope it can inspire people of your age that believe what they see on IG or tik tok and have a bad opinion of them or their body. Balance and happiness suit you well 😊 I’m older (48 yo) and not exactly the same body but I’m happy about the way I look and the journey I’m in. I want progress meaning increase the weighs I use (I started at 1kg, now it’s rather 2 or 3 kg) and have more muscles meaning a toned body and being able to do push ups 😜
Calories alone do not help you lose fat, the right calories do. So I love the fact that you said "fuel your body". if you're eating 2k calories in carbs you will be hungry all the time and lose muscle, thus your metabolism will slow, but if you eat mostly proteins, then spit your healthy fats and carbs how you want, you will just start dropping fat provided you are eating what you body needs, and you are doing some form of strength/resistance training. Yoga counts people! Gravity is a lovely form of resistance and if you do vinyasa yoga, even better!
these are the tips:)
-give ur body more rest days, and rest more between sets
-try progressive overload
-try HIIT workouts (she explains it)
-come up with a schedule and plan your workouts!!
-increase your TDE (she explains it)
-eat to fuel your body (your body needs it!!!)
-ENJOY LIFE

Sometimes a weight scale is not the best indicator of weight loss. Taking pictures and measuring your body (using measuring tape) can be another way to see progress. Also being on a caloric deficit is important. I hope this help.
You’re either gaining muscle and losing fat, overworking your body, or you’re eating too little calories
You might have a hormonal imbalance. You should get your hormone levels checked by your physician
I love how you were just real, not fake stuff
Natural is beautiful too
Thank you so much! I try to be ❤️
Congratulations to you on your growth, your happiness and your freedom from food! You are truly beautiful inside and out!! 🤗🤗
Thank you so much! 🥺❤️
Thank you for this video - I’m 61 & work hard in staying in shape & most importantly in good health.
With these tips I can feel confidence in me that I can reach my goal healthily. Thank you
Girl you neeedddd a podcast. You're amazing!!!
You are the first person that explained progressive overload in a way I can understand! Thank you!
By the way you communicate I can tell you are a beautiful person inside out, you are more than a pretty face ✨

Excellent video....thank you...and we as women are our worst enemies
I agree, it’s such a sad fact and I wish women wouldn’t compare themselves to each other / make it a competition
I love the way you introduce on the topic thanks💜

Progressive overload is nothing to do with collapsing.. but slowly and gradually increasing the resistance over a period of time as your strength and muscle grow.
thank u for this realization 🥺🥺🥺

-HITT
- increase muscle workout
-schedule
-non exercise habits that move your body
Great video! I’ve been getting frustrated. I recently quit counting calories, started intuitive eating and doing Lilly Santi workout (love her)
I haven’t seen any results yet. I need to remember it hasn’t even been long.
Yes I agree it takes time ❤️ but! Even more importantly do you feel different with your mindset around food? That’s one thing I loved with intuitive eating.. I stopped overthinking as much
I love your energy! Keep it going 🙌🏼
I love your passion ,never be ashamed of it ,go girl, lots of great tips -Thankyou

Keep doing u girl. I believe in u. It might take some time but I rly think u’ll get big
awww thank you so much ❤️ I hope so too haha
i loved the vid and your tips ❤️ the changes in your body are really visible and you radiate good energy! just one thing (and I’m not personal trainer Or anything) but when you do lat Pull downs don’t hyperextend your upper back so much cause it can really hurt your lower back. 🥰
thank you so much for this and promoting this without any eating changes etc
Thank you for this vidéo. I like the fact that you promote a healthy way of life. I hope it can inspire people of your age that believe what they see on IG or tik tok and have a bad opinion of them or their body.
Balance and happiness suit you well 😊
I’m older (48 yo) and not exactly the same body but I’m happy about the way I look and the journey I’m in. I want progress meaning increase the weighs I use (I started at 1kg, now it’s rather 2 or 3 kg) and have more muscles meaning a toned body and being able to do push ups 😜
I loved what you said about building a healthy relationship with food. ❤️
at 7 min on= yesss, love your epiphany!
Great message! 100% we need to love ourselves and live a happy life!
Very inspirational . Loved listening to your story xx
Okay I’m hooked. Such a great video. Very informative, I’ve learned something new and I’m pretty seasoned at this...
