i fully believe she’s guilty, but based on the evidence brought by both sides, i don’t know if i could have convicted her beyond reasonable doubt? which is more about the defence’s skill of planting those seeds of doubt in the jury’s minds

After everything, the judge made a statement to say he should have instructed the jury that the manner in how she died didn't count. It was only if they believed she died at the hands of her mother. He said he believed the jury found her not guilty because the prosecution didn't fully explain how she died and he believed they thought they had to do that to find her guilty.
I saw an interview with a member of the jury who said this was the case.
I personally believe (not that my opinion counts for anything) that she overdosed her daughter on zanex, put her in the boot of the car and left her there to die, forgot she was there and when she remembered, decided to try to hide her remains.
Whatever happened here, this so called mother should spend her life being punished.

She’s not rotting in prison (like she should be) because the prosecution did not have enough evidence to prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, they had no lungs to autopsy and see if there was water in them or not. If they’d found her sooner, they might have been able to prove Baez’s version of events was wrong. Casey Anthony was acquitted because the prosecution didn’t prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. Don’t get me wrong, she’s guilty AF as far as I’m concerned, but they jumped the gun on prosecuting her. They should have waited until they had a much stronger case, then she would have been convicted.

I remember when my 18 daughter was 3 I couldn't find her. I was panicking and in tears because I couldn't find her in the house anywhere. We had lived across the street from a playground park and I yelled to my husband to look in the park and surrounding areas. It ended up she was in her bedroom the whole time and had fallen asleep on her bedroom floor under a blanket and I never realized it at the time. That was the most horrible and gut wrenching feeling I experienced thinking my child had walked out of the house on her own. The relief we felt when she was found was so incredibly significant for us, we were absolutely drained emotionally after that experience. So I cannot understand the bland and lackadaisile attitude of Casey Anthony.

My partner and I had just adopted a senior kitty 4 months prior and shortly after we moved to a ground floor residence we couldn't find her anywhere. Looked around for hours in 800 square feet of space, thought she may have slipped out when I'd left that morning and now was scared, we looked around the alleyways near home. Already a couple of hours in I was grieving a potential loss, and at 1 am when we were both in tears mourning her loss, planning to search again, even my partner who "doesn't care about cats" was crying. She turned out to be sleeping in the bed drawer we closed that morning and only knew she had been there as she was trying to get out. This is a cat we were still getting to know yet the pain was nearly comparable to the day we had to let her go due to illness. I can't imagine, for a child you carried and nurtured and protected...I don't think my body could survive that kind of terror. Not having had children yet, even attempting to imagine anything serious occuring already brings up the memory of that nauseating feeling you get when you lose a loved one or are unsure of their well-being...

I thought my son was lost once when he was 2 or 3. I did the same thing. I told my daughter to search the house and I RAN outside screaming his name searching up and down the street. Turned out he was hiding in the back corner of the coat closet the whole time. The adrenaline dump was insane. I thought I lost him again a few weeks ago (he’s 7 now) in the middle of the night his little brother woke me up and told me his older brother was missing. I ran into their room and he wasn’t in his bed. I searched the house in a panic. Eventually we figured out he had crawled into his little brothers bed under the comforter at the foot of bed. I never thought to look for him in the bed of the one who told me he was missing. But the feeling you get when you can’t find your kid is sheer panic and motion. You HAVE to find them. You don’t go out for a drink with friends.

She said that when she talked to Anthony about her daughter being found, Anthony said something about Caylee being wrapped in a Winnie the Pooh blanket - which was not made public, nor mentioned to this woman. Not always, clearly, but in many cases, these people have grown up never being told no and being told that they are more special and precious than anyone else. I am not saying, in any way, this excuses their behaviour. These people are fully responsible for their actions but this is how these personalities develop.

I felt for the juror because they were stuck between a rock and a hard place. They had to follow the law, not what they all knew. That to me goes a long way to reasonable doubt) if you have a good lawyer, anyone can be found not guilty without a cause of death of murder. But the Simpson case is the case that always makes my blood boil. True that didn't involve a child, this one I absolutely believe she's guilty, but I hate to say I'm not convinced they actually proved it in court. She deserves to be in prison. This case a tragic. It really is. But I do think if they could have proven murder with an actual cause of death, she would have found guilty. I think most people also don't really understand what reasonable doubt is.

She didn't. Her life since this hasn't been good. She can't get a job, every business she's tried to set up has failed, she can't profit from her infamy, though there are some sickos who would pay money to sleep with her or just be in her company.
The greatest thing called karma has been biting her in the ass ever since the trial.
She may be free but she really isn't. She still is the most hated person in the US for getting away with murdering her daughter. That is something she can never get away from. She has no moral compass and although she claims she's happy, she really isn't. Puts on a show for the public.
She talks about wanting another child, they will never allow her to keep any child that she does have unless she leaves the US. Problem for her is that she's known worldwide as a child murderer. It is such a pity that the Prosecution didn't have enough to solidify a conviction and I bet the jury must have hated the fact that they couldn't find her guilty based on the evidence that was presented.
She is a pariah, an evil heartless narcissist who still only cares about herself. I doubt very much that she's ever given a moments thought for the little girl whose life she took.

He couldn't include it in the trial because he couldn't prove it. That's why the prosecution started with George and the first questions were, "Did you sexually abuse your daughter?" They wanted it out in the open from the start.

If only the police had found her earlier, maybe more DNA could of proven conclusively. That for me was a massive error! And one I hadn’t known about. The parents shock me too. So as someone who watched this case from the minute it started getting mainstream coverage She IS Guilty!! I was placed on bed rest with my youngest and found myself sucked into this case and I was GRIPPED!! I watched every single minute of coverage, I recorded things I couldn’t watch live…I said from the moment the prosecution decided to go for Murder One it was a huge mistake because they would NEVER be able to prove intent. Of course they didn’t hear me yelling at the tv so my message didn’t get through…I do NOT feel this was intentional in the purest sense of the word, I think this was something she did on other occasions and had gotten away with it because the baby was fine, but the last time it all went wrong! That being said sedating that baby so she could party was, obviously, a disaster waiting to happen. I think it’s a definite possibility that George knew and helped his daughter hide the baby so he didn’t have to lose both of them and staged some of it such as the duct tape to make it look like someone had taken her and restrained her. A.) They did not think she would be found so using things from their home to wrap her in didn’t seem like a terrible idea B.) They never guessed that this one baby in a smaller town in Florida was going to get SO much attention
She should have been tried on involuntary Man Slaughter and then add on the other idiocy that she WAS found guilty on…that jury would have been all in with that, but they went with the Murder one and lost the jury because they could never prove actual intent to murder that baby…the whole case was heart wrenching and as a hugely pregnant woman I sobbed daily from day one through the trial holding my baby at that point!! Casey is a sociopath and a narcissist and should be in prison!!
