I absolutely blame the monster who hurt this child & ultimately killed her. However once Helen had suspicions of him & continued leaving this sweet baby in his care, that is negligence in my opinion. I’m sure she regrets it every day because clearly she loved her but there is some willful ignorance of what was happening right under her nose. RIP baby girl. ❤

@Slim Dusty That's not what she said. Predators exist, there's no point trying to pretend they don't. That means that we, the primary caregivers need to protect.
As a parent, it is our first duty to protect our offspring from the dangerous world outside. That means being hypervigilant when it's comes to the safety and wellbeing of our children and taking action where our senses tell us there is danger.
Where a parent fails in this, then yes, they hold culpability alongside the murdering bastard who took a child's life and deserves no mercy.
Apparently common sense is not that common.

If lily was attacked 2 weeks before and had such awful injuries there’s no way the mother wouldn’t have noticed something was wrong with this poor girl. Fractured vertebrae?! She’d have been in agony.

Exactly my thoughts! I've fractured one vertebrae and it wasn't even that big a fracture, and I could barely breathe without pain, I couldn't lie down comfortably either and was in general just miserable and emotional, and I'm a fully grown adult ffs imagining the pain that tiny toddler must of been in is heartbreaking 💔 I would be beyond shocked if she wasn't acting differently in some way in that time! I'd expect her to be crying more, not her lively happy playful self, id also expect her to react badly to being picked up or lay on her back at say night time, I know kids can be tough but I find it hard to believe she didn't show signs of distress, poor little girl 😢

It's mindboggling how Helen could continue to leave Lilly in his care when Lilly was clearly scared of him and there was bruising after being left in his care. Clear negligence on Helen's part. As if there was no other person in this world other than him for babysitting services. Helen should have kicked him out of her life immediately once she had suspicions.

It's really hard to understand how Helen missed Lily's suffering in her last few weeks. She had spinal injuries and trouble breathing. She had previously taken her for health tests and they ruled out a medical condition causing the bruising. The bruising occurred when tbat prick was around, and stopped when he wasn't. It's just not making sense. Same as the case last Sunday, where the mother absolutely failed her daughter and was made out to be blameless. Emma will you ever address these questions that i see many people asking about these two cases? I really like your vidoes but these points that have been raised do require answers.

With the horrendous injuries that the PM had discovered were 2 weeks old... - i struggle to believe that her mum Helen wasnt aware of the escalation from bruises to bleeding in the lung, severe body manipulations. For 2 weeks this beautiful baby suffered before she was fatally attacked by this bullying bastard 😢 How did this woman not know how much pain she was in? I would know in an INSTANT if it was my daughter.
The saddest thing of all is that when she first had 'inklings' that maybe he was doing something, she should have contacted the police for a background report on him. Maybe then little Lilly would have lived.

I watched her case on another you tube channel and got so angry about the case and the fact that the one person who should have protected her, her mother, is already out of prison. What happened to this infant and led to her death at 5 months old should have never happened. And everyone involved should have had life sentences without parole at the very least. The channel I watched this on was The disturbing truth. The episode was Three Monsters and a baby. These monsters should not be allowed to breathe the same as us. Oh I’m so angry!!! My heart is just totally broken for that sweet little angel. There are too many stories like this one. I don’t blame the woman who brought her into her home. But there is a little bit of blame there. How could you not figure this out. There were no other kids with Bryson their body at her pre school. Very easy to figure out. Too many of these women are blinded by their own happiness that they can’t see what is right in front of them. Until it’s too late.

To say 20 years is an insult to baby Lilly wouldn’t even begin to cover it.
It should be an automatic life with out parole sentence no messing no mercy when it comes to murdering and torturing innocent children. There was no mercy for this poor little baby. Infact what I’d like to do to him and anyone who harms children is not fit for print. Also I’d love to be fly on the wall or a spider in the corner to see how tough is when faced with actual men.
    RIP Beautiful baby Lilly. X

If she’d taken the time to request a Claire’s Law check on him, she’d have had far better knowledge of his past. Ideally at the start before she let him anywhere near her children. But definitely once she had suspicions.

Yes it is, it's the domestic violence disclosure. I think the woman has to actively request any info on their partner.

Claire’s law gives anyone a right to ask the police if they believe that they or someone they know is in a relationship with an individual that could be abusive towards them. It was passed after a previous abuse case in the uk
It’s an amazing way to find out the past of someone you are welcoming into your home to keep you or your children safe. Unfortunately like your self not every one knows about this law it was passed it 2014 xx

I have huge sympathy for the mum, but at this point, if I had no clue where these bruises were coming from and they were continuing to appear, I’d say to everyone around me listen just for now no one will be looking after my baby including nursery, my parents, my partner ANYONE. Just because you can’t confirm it’s nursery or your partner, doesn’t mean they aren’t the ones causing it. no blame on the mum, i have a 9 yo and a 11 month old, plenty of times when I take my daughter to her horse riding lesson I have a hand full of people that watch my 11 month old. If he kept getting bruises I’d cut off all child care around me, and take him with me until I got to the bottom of it.
some people are sadly too trusting 😭 rest in peace Lilly 🌹xx

Why are the partners of someone who is a foster parent not investigated before they are allowed to be alone with the child? I become a foster parent but I’m allowed to have anyone I want babysit? Some man who I barely know? Such crap.

My husband's parents were also questioned because he beat himself up so much. But his Mom always says how grateful she is that someone cared enough in the late 80's to ask.

Thank you Emma for giving Lilly legacy. As a survivour of horrendous child abuse myself, I count myself one of the lucky ones who made it out on the other side. I have 3 incredible, gorgeous children and I had to learn a hard and bitter lesson how NOT to treat and raise my children. As bad as my childhood was, in a weird way I'm grateful because I know that my children are being raised by my husband and myself with love, support and joy.
