    My son was groomed by his female teacher. He was 15, she was 24. The betrayal of trust is still indescribable. She was eventually jailed for having sex with someone under 16, but the damage done cannot be fully described. My son and our family unit is still trying to heal. Never underestimate the pain this type of crime causes.

      That's horrific. Hope your healing continues, with things like this, it ripples and impacts not just the victim but the families as well. In usual cases it's already an abuse of power, but to be a teacher, it's even more amplified (all are just as bad, not trying to compare here). Wishing you all the best.

    As a teacher (female ) for twenty years , this makes me physically ill. Its such a betrayal of those you have to protect , we are trained to look out for all kinds of abuse . In most cases we are the front line even before social services .Its a complete reversal of everything a teacher should be.

      I too was a teacher, and it is triggering. When the vast majority of us spend our careers giving so much beyond the requirements of the job, to hear of this sort of behaviour is shocking, frustrating and heartbreaking! We already get a terrible press, without people like her dragging the profession even further down. Very well said!

      It’s not a new thing, there was at least 4 girls I can remember having ‘love affairs’ with male teachers when I was at school in the 70s nothing was done about it, one actually married the dirty perv when he got divorced and she left school, she posts on the school Facebook page and I’m so tempted to say something, but he’s dead now. She was a child, but a marriage with kids was destroyed…all sorts of wrong!

My 23yr old son has many friends and although they are all at the gym daily & 6” grown men they still all look like kids to me.

I’m the mom of a now 21 year old young man. I can’t imagine how upset the boys parents must have been when they found out what was happening. I’m so thankful she was caught and prosecuted. I'm convinced the reason we're hearing more about female sex abusers is because it's been incredibly underreported in the past and perhaps victims are feeling more supported to report it now.

    The very same thing happened here in Italy a few years ago. The groomed boy was only 14 years old and the adult was 35 😱 The student was so traumatised that he didn't say anything to his parents for a long time. He was even forced to meet his baby in several occasions, because that crazy abusive woman (and pedophile) was convinced she was in love and wanted to live with him. How SICK and OUTRAGEOUS is it?!? She already had a kid with her husband, who was told the baby was his. He's now actually raising that innocent baby boy as if he was his child and his ex wife is obviously in prison. The victim's life is forever ruined on many levels though, he knows he is a father and no psychological therapy can erase that awareness... Many lives were ruined. Very shocking and sad stories.
    Thank you for your extra video, Emma ❤

    Great coverage of this topic. Best I’ve seen by far. Most channels barely go in to detail beyond “pretty female teacher” and whether her partner stays with her. Never talks about the impact on the victims or the culture especially of older men when they hear stories like this making comments like “ wish I was this lucky, what are they complaining about” when if it was their daughter with a male authority figure, it would be completely different

    She's sick in the head. As a woman in her 30s and also as the mother of a son this whole thing disgusts me. How you can look at a teen boy and think of him in an inappropriate way is beyond me. And as a parent of a son, if someone were to do this to my child I would want her put away for a very long time. It's a pity they're often more lenient on women in these scenarios. If you ask me a predator is a predator.

    • @jesclifford88
      @jesclifford88 5 місяців тому +2

      A predator is a predator regardless of gender, you are absolutely correct! It’s more shocking when it’s a woman as we are nurturers and in more positions of care where children are concerned but in no way should that affect punishment. Women should get as much as a man would get. I hope victims are feeling like they can speak out more because I’m sure it’s very underreported as is male victims of female domestic violence and rape etc 😢

    • @lynsey4224
      @lynsey4224 5 місяців тому +1

      @@jesclifford88 exactly! That's why it's so difficult to comprehend, our natural instinct is to protect and nurture so to see this just gives me the ick. Unfortunately a lot of young men will be afraid to speak out because even people they know will say silly things like "where was that teacher when I was in school" and almost consider the young lad lucky. The way I see it is that some grown adult has stolen the experience of first time intimacy from them, he should have never have been put in that situation by an adult who is supposed to care. I just think she's stolen that experience from him and as he gets older he will have regrets about that and possibly even blame himself but the responsibility is not his, it's all on her and there should be no leniency just because she happens to be a woman. She's disgusting.

    • @Jess-wb4ux
      @Jess-wb4ux 4 місяці тому

      I agree she was wrong and it was disgusting 🤢. But, I’m not sure she can be called a predator. She obviously has issues she’s tried to have relationships with these boys it’s very odd. Does she have previous history of this? She’s ruined her own life. It is different with women I think because most women don’t have sex on the mind all the time nor do they let thoughts take over their lives like some men do. She’s a silly woman and deserves prison, but predator I don’t think so.

      @GenXfrom75 Instead of seeking an external and official body to protect boys from such Teachers why not just develop the ability to speak to your boys and run this exact scenario past them? Boys at 15 are right on the edge of consent and unless told they will possibly make sexualised comments to an attractive teacher (as happened in this case). She was rightly punished but at the same time we molly coddle young men and seem to have brought up a generation of imbeciles. This woman was obviously very juvenile in her thinking herself and absurdly naive. I mean, what woman in a similar situation would try and keep a young boy around by way of a surprise pregnancy announcement. Yes this is predatory behaviour but we live in a society which promotes promiscuity and deviant serial behaviour; that women can behave like men and think with their genitals. Parents need to take a greater degree of responsibility for their children's upbringing and maybe this cycle of teachers grooming children will be lessened.

    When I was 16 and started college I had a weekend job in a shop in Rochdale, I managed to arrange to go for a drink after work with this guy who I liked who was 21. So we did, and he happily bought me a couple of vodka and cokes and we were talking about music, films and what I would consider normal stuff. It was actually in Riley's Snooker Bar which used to be at the bottom of Drake Street where he was a member. He then put two and two together and figured out that I was only 16, barely out of school and possibly quite immature for my age. I'm 38 now and I can still remember how uncomfortable he looked sitting there knowing he had bought me alcohol and then just got me a plain lemonade and cut the 'date' short, walked to the taxi rank outside Wheatherspoons, made sure I had enough money to get home and saw me off safely. He didn't fall out with me as we still had to work together and at the time I was gutted that I didn't get to go out with him again. Looking back now as an adult I respect him for that, respect him for not buying me more alcoholic drinks to try and get me pissed and for not thinking ahh fuck it, she's well up for it anyway so why not? I look back and think what a true gent, stopping the drinks and making sure I was on my way home safely. Could have easily gone the other way and left me feeling used and exploited. Although I was 16 and could legally consent he may have initially assumed I was 18 but upon finding out i was 16 got the ick.

    Bravo Emma, for putting this content on your true crime channel. This is a true, real crime that will affect these young boys for the rest of their lives. I have been a maternity nurse for 20 years so I have seen all sorts of situations in the case room. It is truly heartbreaking how many predators are out there. I also have a physically and mentally disabled 12yo angel of a daughter and I am constantly worried something will happen to her as she can’t walk or help herself in the bathroom etc. She is totally dependent on others to help her and she is so easily trusting despite the teaching I do with her.
    I appreciate you bringing more awareness of other areas of true crime that don’t include murder, although Rebecca has savagely permanently taken a part of them that they will never be able to get back.

      @michellesartori6695 6 місяців тому

      I understand what you're saying because I was just wondering myself how the maternity staff handled her labour and whether she got to hold her baby after birth. Also, was the young man who is the biological father of this child, at the hospital, and what on earth do he and his family think about him being a biological father as a teen? I'm in Australia, and over 34 years ago, I was training as a childbirth educator, and I had to watch a certain number of births and support the mothers giving birth. I was 6 months pregnant with my 4th child, and I had spent all day with this mother, and I was exhausted. But before I left for the day, I heard one of the midwives talking about a 12 year old who had come in in labour. Apparently in her culture, and I don't know what culture that was, it isn't unusual for very young girls to come in pregnant to a relative, so these midwives had a minefield to walk around with that case. I've often thought about her over the years and wondered what happened to her and her baby. Hopefully, her child wasn't subjected to the same treatment as her mother if the child had been a girl!

As a primary school teacher who is currently doing a Masters of Social work to get into child safeguarding, I also care deeply about much of the content you post, and I admire the way you do it with professionalism, honesty, true care for the victims, and a little humour thrown in. This is my first time commenting on one of your videos, despite having watched probably a good 40 of them, haha. I am not usually a commenter on UA-cam (maybe I should change that to show support!). But honestly, you do a fantastic job of covering every single one of the cases you present. In my eyes, you are completely unique in the UA-cam true crime world. No one else covers crime with the level of expertise, meticulousness, and charisma, that you do. Bringing an awareness to these types of predators is so important, and I am so glad you are doing it. Sorry, not trying to crawl up your butt here, but you are doing an amazing job, and I am sure many of us would love to see more of these harrowing cases covered by you. It always makes a difference when the person covering them comes from an obvious place of extreme care, knowledge, and experience. Aside from that I hope people keep aware that women can also be abusers. Culturally we still need to discuss this more. Incidents may be less with women but they certainly can be harmful. There are so many subtleties of what it can be like for the boys, cultural "endorsements" of what happens to boys, and our understanding of their body reactions that are going to happen within certain stimuli that can cause further confusion for the victim.
    No excuses for any woman stepping beyond boundaries, and even worse when that woman is in a position of authority, power and control such as a teacher, etc.
    A child is a child and our job is to nurture and protect them.

    What makes her so dangerous is that she fails to accept any responsibility for her offending by further victimising the boys, forcing them to endure a trial and with her denials and her inability to recognise the inapproriateness of her entire relationship with them, instead focussing on trying to cast doubt on whether boy B had just turned 16 when they first physically had sexual contact.
    I also feel sorry for the boys fanilies, I can't imagine having to witness my son having to testify against his abuser, the impact that would've had of them too will have been horrendous and I'm sure will have raised so many complex emotions for them too.
    Maybe I'm an awful human being but I don't have any sympathy for her as a mother. Part of a parents job is to safeguard and protect, she clearly isn't able to. If she were a father, nobody would have sympathy,

    As a Social Worker, all you have said is so true Emma. My husband just turned and said 'if that was a man, no way would he get contact with the baby (especially before his sentence). And he's right to a certain extent. However there are 2 things relevant to before she is sentenced- 1) Her baby has been being fed and cared for by her Mother thus far and so taking that away, for bubba's sake is a measured consideration and 2) just like with any child sex offender, the risk needs analysing- would she sexually abuse her baby? Unlikely. Is it acceptable for Mum and baby to be in a Mum and baby unit in prison? Only likely if Mum doesn't get a hefty sentence, which I think she will. Sad all round really. Hopefully the young man whom she abused and fathered a child with, heals and enjoys his daughter in the end even if it's years down the line, for the other young man, I hope he too has support, counselling and peace and a girlfriend his own age whenever he is ready

Unfortunately, she was never prosecuted for it, called out for it, etc.. My biological father‘s family seems to be very toxic and itself and they allowed the abuse to continue. He was only 14 and she was well into her 30s… this woman is a lot like my mother. My mother is a narcissist, insecure, controlling, demanding abusive. Her ex was probably right and what he said about her described my biological mother to a T. And it’s crazy because my mother was also in a long-term relationship from the time that she was a teenager before she groomed my biological father. It lasted about a decade as well, and there were children from that relationship that were close to the age of my biological father. My mother had a very warped perspective on what love is.

      And I hope you can find some way to separate yourself from all of this. ❤

      @@Stopthisrightnow560 unfortunately my biological father died when he was only 21 so I guess in some light he did get away from her. By the time of his death, she had completely isolated him from his family. They weren’t allowed to come around while he was dying, etc., proving that he was merely a possession to her. I got away, though I went no contact about a decade ago, and it was the best decision I ever made.

      @@FallenAngelsNursery Oh, that's so sad.
      He definitely got away. I can imagine he's up there somewhere having a beer with some other friends of his, relaxing in the sunshine, telling everyone, "That's my kid down there. I made that." 🥰
      I'm so proud of you. 🩷
      I hope all good things come to you.

    This was a really difficult one to listen to. I just wanna thank Emma for doing such an amazing job on the psychology behind the actions and helping people to understand the psychology of predators and that not everybody has to be or conform to a stereotype. This is why I love Emma‘s videos. I love the depth of the psychology in them even though sometimes the stories are really hard to listen to, I agreed with every point and she really opened my eyes to the background of how somebody who comes from a stable home life and has a stable history can commit a criminal act. I feel so sad for all the victims in this story but especially the 2 boys and the baby.
