- Apologize for the audio, I'm trying something new here by filming and recording on a drive.
Just a random story that I wanted to tell and a very early time in my life in which i learned a hard lesson is surrounding myself with the wrong folks. In fact i think i might have gotten lucky that the issue was so clear that I wasn't even on the radar of the people that were providing me a chance.
This same situation could easily happen to you at work, at school, etc. Stop fighting an uphill battle and find spaces that wanna help you instead.

Im 36, Asian, from England and I have been really feeling this last year and opened my eyes alot. Wow. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
How do you tell when the people care? What things do you look for? The people in a work context who care about you and your upward success is gonna be more rare than common I would say, for a majority of men. For women it is much the opposite the better looking they are. I hate to sort of objectify women but it is so goddamn true. At least it is here in Orange County California, largely.

Reminds me of a similar story from a college professor I had numerous times. Towards the end of my 4 years, he shared that he didn’t have his phd in Philosophy because at the university he was in there was a head of those that judge whether you advanced or not & that person directly told him that as long as he was in charge, he’d never get that phd. So he didn’t, but he was really good at teaching Philosophy & we just called him Mr. instead of doctor, but I guess it didn’t matter since he still was well known for his field at the school.
