Arizona EZ Fletch too much helical and would it matter if its 5 or 4mm?

Those jigs won't particularly put too much helical on our vanes, but they're tricky to fletch TAC Vanes with. Our vanes are very pliable until they're stuck to the arrow, so bending them on an aggressive helical is not the problem. The problem is getting enough even pressure to fully seal the vanes against the arrow. You also have to be really quick with priming every vane because the vane material heals itself after 20-30 seconds. The slots are much wider than our vanes as well. That came make them really tricky to close the fingers without the vanes moving, or slipping out before they're stuck in place. I've heard reports where some folks have had good luck with this style jig, but if you're having trouble with the first one or two arrows, I would either find a way to modify the slots to hold the vanes better, or use a different jig. The most ideal jigs fletch one vane at a time.

Being honest I bought 3 packs of these. One entire pack had bases that were literally half the width of any vane out of the other two packs. I’ve been building arrows for at least twenty and know something about that. I used the recommended materials and instructions with their adhesive. No go after a half dozen tries. Never could figure out what was going on. Anyway, I just went back to my q2i vanes with zero problems. Just saying too much trouble with all their procedures and adhesive etc. I hope others don’t have these problems.👍👍

@@GraylenGoOutside As far as I’m concerned those vanes are junk. Plus all the BS with their adhesive etc. Just too much trouble. And $.

Love the vanes , WHEN THEY STICK . Figure that issue out and I’ll try them again . Not reliable in my opinion and a quick google search of the forums , people say the same things . I’ve spent hours trying to give these the benefit of the doubt . Most reliable color was white which welded to my arrows . The colored vanes had poor adhesion and fell off with minimal pull .
