Excellent vid. BA is top for traditional service and quality. It's a shame the lowest paid workers in the company seem to suffer most whenever they have financial problems. BA need to realise their staff are the best in the skies!

I'm English, i live in Australia. I don't like BA's prices and i wouldn't say they have the best service but everyday when i cycle home a BA flight leaves Sydney airport at the same time (4.45pm approx) and i love it! Aussies feel the same way when they see the flying Kangaroo!
Actually mate, we've just flown from London Heathrow to Athens 1 week return for £210 for 2 of us. Included with that were meals, and free drinks throughout including wine and beer. Plus the onboard entertainment was great with the latest films and tv programmes, and the Terminal 5 experience was awesome - such an amazing airport now! Great flight crew and ahead of schedule both ways - can't complain. I think they've cut prices quite a bit recently so you may want to look into them!
Actually on inspection they did find fuel in the tanks, even enough for a goaround, they are saying the nozzel in the engine may have been blocked by particles in poor quality fuel.

Indeed, the sooner Heathrow gets a thrid runway, improvements to the current terminals and get T5 fully operational things should get better for BA and all airlines at Heathrow. I'm sure it can be a great airport again.

Secondly, BA relies heavily on the business sector for income. The current squeeze on spending means that more businesses are thinking twice before flying people out to conferences, choosing instead to use teleconferencing, closer venues or, as a last resort, low cost airlines.

Only two runways, one used for take off and one used for landing so if one is out of actions for some reason the airport comes to a standstill and BA is the worst affected.

The only thing I didnt like of BA was the in-flight entertainment.. you can't choose when to start to watch a movie! I dont know if something changed since 2006!
Unfortunately the music has ben a theme that British Air has used since the early 80's and is a staple to this company. I don't foresee them changing it anytime soon. Every time I hear this piece, I always associate it with British Air and I smile. I have never been on their flights but I do know about their services being one of the best in the world- I'm from Guam so I have to do my studies for all the times I travel. it stinks that they dont fly out here to my island.
Willie Walsh is Irish and BA just announced record profits so he must be doing something right. Willie Walsh was also in charge of Aer Lingus, an airline close to bankruptcy that he saved and turned into one of the most profitable airlines in Europe. Mistakes have been made and the press love to bash BA and it's boss but the figures speak for themselves, he has made a lot of money for BA.
British Airways staff are the best in the world,they treated me like they would treat a relative or family member,even though they did'nt know me from Adam! I have flown airlines worldwide,my Wife is Mexican,both my Wife and i rate British Airways as THE BEST!
@tjf4375 Its possible but do you think BA could have a financial problems due to the competion with Gulf carriers like Etihad Airways, Emirates and Qatar? Also I would like to know iff BA losses are related with the competion off Singapore Airlines.
@YxesLaura i flew them in summer 2009 to hong kong and i really enjoyed it :) sure they are not as good as arabian based airlines like qatar airways or emirates but you still get great service for a fair price
BA and Heathrow are the easiest and most enjoyable in my opinion for transfer flights will be interesting to see the Boris Island proposals for a new airport for BA and Virgin to move to
@tjf4375 The merger with Iberia to form the IAG helped them a lot though. So the state they were in 2 years ago is far worse than it is nowadays. They did lose a lot of money last year because of the Ash Cloud in April and the dire snow in December. Im not sure of the figures but that would contribute largely to any loss they may post. So basically, things aren't great, but they are a hell of a lot better than they were.

Their hotel terminal 5 was amazing value. I got 2 nights free.

BA's New Uniforms are MUCH better than the old ones.

@olinaldo96 No they retired the last of their 757's in October 2010, they repainted their final 757 in a retro livery to give it a special send off.

The A340 has a longer range, and IS much cleaner in the -600 models.

Yeah, people began hating it once BAA began screwing up With Terminal 4 and it's baggage system, all together lost 13 bags with BA...
