Hi Omar, I did my first livestream on the beginning of June, when I got the opportunity to interview someone. I was rushing to learn how to use StreamYard with your tutorials, and it went OK. I also bought the Rode NT USB Mini, as per your recommendation and I love it! What stand do you have for it? The one I bought is not that good. Thanks for your videos! I have learned a lot with you guys!

That was really useful. I've been publishing online for 10+ years but only got into vlogging when lockdown happened. I go live from my phone but want to crack the art of using the computer and streaming software - I'm a bit baffled right now! I do a live chat show each week - combination of a bit of planning and a lot of winging it. I also live stream while I'm out and about to bring variety to my channel. I'm a very WYSIWYG person so I don't have a problem with the chat - it's the tech that I'm behind on!

Tonight I'll be making my thumbnail and writing the description so that I can schedule the livestream tomorrow. I'm a virtual teacher, and "go live" every day with my students. I am looking at this as another lesson where I'll have a prepared history lesson that I'll go through. If this works for me, then it will save me a ton in editing and allow me to post more often.

That's because like he said. This is a pre-recorded video he can edit, redo it etc..he said with live stream because people are watching live like a concert or show. You can't edit live😂 the comments can be roasting him or he do something clumsy or whatever, it's LIVE. Can't edit that.
i do a live stream every other Wednesday night at 7 pm eastern.. I didn't know you could set a thumb nail for a up coming stream, and the duel monitor is something I have used for a couple years now, with stream yards it is so easy to share the screens.
This was awesome and super helpful. I got so many new ideas from this video. When I used to go live it was just me with no breaks in the video....boring. Never thought about using my iMac as a 2nd monitor to show slides or screens. Not sure when I'll go live again, but when I do I'll have a lot to work with thanks to this video. 😁

I am now planning on going live with my mobile phone because my camera is pretty old and I don't have and external charger so I can't use it for long. If the battery died, the line will end so it's best for me to try it with my phone.
I started going live on facebook... during the pandemic as a lark on Saturday nights... it has since grown to a weekly live show with my brother as we attempt in our own way to 'Explain Pop Kulture'.

Hey Omar, I have been livestreaming for the last 121 days and will go live again tomorrow. Got some valuable tips from you. changed the settings, I use Streamyard and I stream simultaneously to other platforms as well. Loved the idea of attaching the thumbnail prior to the live. Will start doing that from tomorrow. Will also start making use of the slides since that adds variety like you said. Super idea! I am using my Mac to livestream so have not added any cameras or mics. Would love some feedback if you can manage since there are more than 150 videos there. Thanks so much
I definitely believe churches should be going live for their congregations throughout the week! Maybe a devotional or season to go through a book in the bible but a smart way to engage with your church during the week!

I had to switch from making gaming videos to livestreaming from the ps4 whenever I can as I recently got into med school. Livestreaming is hard for me as I'm awkward sometimes and have no conversation
Congrats on med school. Have you seen the British guys channel? Can't remember his name right now but he was in med school when he started this channel very successful.
I'm just a little confused about how to go Live. Do you have to use another media platform like Stream Yard to go Live or can the stream go directly through UA-cam?
If I'm coming across some connection issues when using streamyards, what would you recommend as a way to troubleshoot that, does an ethernet cable work well or is it morso about properly using the right export or broadcast setting? What would you recommend? I streamed to UA-cam on one video and one to Twitter/Twitch/UA-cam on the next. The one with fewer locations ran smoother, thoughts? I do actually love stream yards and am brand new to it, that's why I wanted to get as much info as possible. Currently I've only done the two tests but am really excited to learning more about stream yards
9:13 do you recommend filming like 5 to 10 videos that you never publish on UA-cam or another platform so you get used to talking to the camera? The only thing that stopping me from starting stream is the fact that I know my first few videos are going to be super awkward because it's a hard transition to go from being regular person to trying to have a conversation with a camera and not found awkward while talking what do you just for that? Because I have a few good video ideas my first few videos but I'm scared to make them because I think the video ideas I have a really good but I think my awkwardness with talking to the camera with lower the quality of your videos that I have in mind so what do I do for that? Do I just leave those ideas for when I feel more comfortable and practice filming a few videos on my own? Or do I just go for it starts streaming and upload my offer videos anyway
Great tips Omar! Your videos are super helpful! I have been doing livestreams for a while and need to up my game. I have an OLD Canon Rebel T3 but I don't think that will cut it. Do you recommend a newer Canon or Sony or with phone cameras these days I could get away with that?

Great tips. I stream every Thursday! 15 weeks in a row now. I also like trimming the streaming afterwards.
