So I recognize Indus, Pepper, and Scorpia. Who is the other character that you put in the collage of inspired by Kronk. Since I know Epithet Erased, She-Ra and the Princess's of Power, and Ducktales but not that series.

One of the things I can say, is Kronk is definitely the man that made the meme, not the meme that made the man. He’s remembered cause a funny cool character.
Honestly, Kronk's new groove feels like it should be a Disney series not a film. All the strange order continuity thing and the plots, that made it feel like 3 episodes of a animated series.
That seems pretty likely. The “sequel” to Atlantis was really a few episodes of a planned series that got canned, so they kind of smushed them all together with what was probably the finale.
@@Herpestidae except there was a series too. Probably came from that though as opposed to a true sequel.
A few of the Disney straight to home video sequels were just failed TV shows. Belle's Magical World, Atlantis: Milo's Return, and Cinderella 2. Seems like Kronk's New Groove might have been ideas for a show that they scrapped in favor of The Emperor's New School (but I don't know that for sure).

Kronk is the best character of the show - I think that's a fair base for liking it.
I didn't know we were adding modifiers to Kronk's skill checks. He must have dumped all of his stats in Dex, Strength, Constitution and Charisma, but has NOTHING in wisdom and just enough in Intelligence to be sentient in order to get ridiculous rolls like 30 for charisma checks...

Kronk’s New Groove is a film that I’d rank as very Kronk. Its not good at a lot of things, but the bits it gets right are absolute gold.

I would say the problem with Kronk’s New Groove is not that it tries to explore Kronk’s character but because it tries to tell 3 different, separate plots in one movie, however, this is just a suspicion, as I haven’t seen it.
That because they were originally supposed to be separate plots. A lot of disney direct to video film were supposed to be tv series that were scrapped. That why movies like Tarzan & Jane and Atlantis: Milo's Return are trying to tell different stories in one movie. They weren't made to be films.

i'm like 90% sure that KNG was a proof of concept for New School. like not a true pilot but "will this IP do well in episodic" test. a ton of Disney sequels do this, like Midator pointed out in his comment. and you can add on a dew others, like Return of Jafar, jungle cubs, herculese zero to hero, and leroy and stitich.
It's more multiple plots trying to crowbar their way into the main plot, which is a basic sitcom plot stretched beyond the point of tolerability. The other plots bring much-needed variety, and the ending is rather sweet, but the pinnacle of existence that is Kronk can only offset such massive levels of cringe for so long.

Prologue: Once upon a time, Kronk lives the perfect life of being both a Scoutmaster for the Squirrel Scouts and a Chef at Mudka's Meat Hut, only to find out his Father is coming to visit. He explains that the reason he has to get a Wife and Kids with a House on a Hill, was so that he would get his father's approval with a thumbs up; for as far back as Kronk can remember, Papi does not approve of Kronk being an animal loving chef.
Act 1: Kronk was reunited with Yzma and got the second item on the list, only to find out he was scamming the people he was suppose to help. After getting rid of Yzma, he sold his dream house to the Eldery as a new Retirement home, and as a huge apology gift.
Act 2: Kronk met a beautiful woman, but it was in the midst of a competition both of them are in. At first, Kronk has called a truce through baking bread, but forgot that what he said that was negative ended up costing both his victory and his trust with Birdwell.
Act 3: Papi shows up and Kronk tries to cover up his failures with a lie that escalated to a literal meltdown from a Fondue Pot.
Epilogue: Kronk tells the Truth and Papi understood what Kronk went through and why Kronk is what he is, so Papi gave Kronk a thumbs up for having the best life he could ever have. Birdwell returned, thanks to Tipo apologizing for getting in the way of making Kronk happy, and the two lovebirds are reunited, so that everyone would live happily ever after... oh, and Yzma dies of being eaten by birds, because she was turned into a Rabbit back in the end of the first act. New School is not Canon! The End.
I know I said this on the Kusco video, but I feel that Kronk is a good example of a charatcer with low intelligence and high wisdom (as well as a high Charisma). Also, if he had a class, I personally feel like it might actually be a Ranger with the Chef feat.
His physic, low INT, and lack of ranged attacking make me think Barnarian.

I would actually call Kronk's starting Alignment "Lawful Evil," because of how casually he goes along with Yzma's plan to kill Kuzco, he knows she wants to kill him, and goes along anyway, with the same enthusiasm he always has. I'd also say that because I love fucking with people's perceptions of what an Alignment spot "HAS" to be. I do fully agree with him being basically full "Lawful Good" at the end, though.
Agree with Kronk Neutral. He's just a dude doing his job.
Morale of the first movie: "Don't be an asshole."
Morale of the second movie: "Don't try to be somebody you're not. Just be yourself."
Wait... but if Kuzko stuck to the lesson of the second movie during the first, then he'd still be an asshole. PICK ONE, SERIES!
I mean... is there anything really to teach Kronk, besides "just be yourself man, you're perfect the way you are".
Different characters have different character arcs.
Kuzco had to morally grow from being a narcissist to being a person with morals and respect for other people, because emotionally he's hasn't had to develop past being a toddler.
Krunk mostly needs self-esteem so he'll stop being controlled by toxic influences, he already knows right from wrong, but has no conviction because he places others over himself.
As in someone you don't want to be kuzko chose to be be a better guy

Thanos is clearly chaotic-evil, but thinks he's the druidic flavor of true-neutral.
I'd argue he "believes" himself to be more lawful neutral. Trying to right the order of the world, restoring balance(order) and all that crap. He seems to be lawful evil though imo.
Seeing Indus when you mention "He inspired dozens like him" hit me with a shot of Nostalgia, it's been over a year since I watched Epithet Erased and haven't heard from it since over a year ago as well.
One thing I kind of like about Kronk's New Groove is Rudy's brief but hilarious impersonation of Gollum. He's voiced by John Fiedler, the original voice of Piglet in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons.

The restaurant scene might be THE best depiction of a lawful good act. He knows it's the right thing to do in order to save the day of many customers and employees. He knows he has the skills to help and does without thinking about a reward. THAT is what Gandalf meant when he said "It's the small things that jeep evil at bay".

@@JaelinBezel Na, she's a "good guy henchman" from the latest She-Ra reboot. You will be hard pressed to find a more lovable cinnamon bun that could rip you in half and throw you across the room all while apologizing about it, but will probably just end up being your new best friend instead, somehow. (Stewart showed an image of her near the end; white hair, high top cut, red outfit/exoskeleton.)
Kronk's character stats: Str: 16 Dex: 12, Con: 15, Int: 14, Wis: 7, Cha: 12
Kronk ain't stupid. In fact, I'd say he's quite intelligent, as he's clearly talented in many skills and seems to be able to pick up new tasks fairly easily. Plus he has plenty of moments where he has a flash of brilliance. This is why I gave him a moderately high intellegence. He's no genius, but he is reasonably intellegent. The problem is, he doesn't know how to use that intellegence to its fullest extent.
The thing is, that he seems a bit "out of it" at times and is slow to notice or perceive key details or draw deep conclusions. He's very gullible at times and isn't that perceptive, so even though he has a lot of skills and can pick up new skills with light effort, I think he doesn't know how to use them creatively, except maybe when he rolls a nat 20. This is why I gave him a low wisdom score.
Intellegence is being able to have a lot of knowledge, or be able to gain knowledge and skills quickly. Wisdom is being able to use that skill in creative and new ways. Kronk doesn't seem to do that very well.
The fact that you gave him 12 charisma is unforgivable

I'm gonna take a guess and say Kronk is either Neutral Good or Chaotic Good, I mean he's just too friendly and innocent to be Evil, especially once he's on his own

This was a treat to watch.
Out of all of the attempts to make spinoff movies for the comedic relief character, I'd say Kronk's New Groove is unironically one of if not the best one. It's not a very high bar, but compared to all the stuff they tried to do with Mater from Cars (and the entirety of Cars 2), The Minions, etc. , Kronk's movie is a step above the rest because people actually like Kronk. He didn't feel like a marketable toy, he felt like a genuinely funny and enjoyable side character.

Kuzko pc, being whiny about loosing the spotlight in the oneshot as Kronk gets 6 nat 20s on all his "survive traps" checks
Kuzko: "it's got to be loaded"
DM: "I checked it already.. ok, you miss the spikes and are sliding down a tube.. I need you to roll a D4 as there is a four way split ahead."
Kronk : "Okiedokie..... 3.. so what's next?"
DM: "... you end up in a safe passage near the outside.. you see two hatches.. left or right?"
Kronk: ".. right, I choose the one to my right.."
DM: "...Yzma, dex save, advantage because.. cat.."
Yzma: **Clikity clack, nat 1s back to back** "I... fuck it, I'll use my inspiration from my monologue.." **a 3 on the dice**
DM: "so.. Yzma, as your were gloating your victory to the commoner and ex emperor, you get blindsided by a hatch you didn't know was there, causing you to lose hold of the cure... Pacha, roll dex to catch"
Pacha: "... 16."
DM: "You catch the vile and you and kuzko see Kronk poking out of the hatch."
Kronk: "What are the odds that Trap door would lead me out here?"

Not even a second in, and my answer is chaotic good. Kronk may work with Yzma, but it's obviously just a job to him, and he has too much of a heart to go through with Yzma's more cold and threatening demands. He also goes with the flow, but he changes the energy in his environment, whether or not he knows how to control it.

You know, at first I didn`t think much about Kronk, but you`ve got a point.
Kronk is a fascinating mix of being an oddball without realizing it, while at the same time being the straight man to everyone else's over-the-top personalities. Birdwatching while Yzma's attacked by insects, or saying "Squeakity-squeak" to talk to a squirrel while Yzma gets frustrated over having to keep her distance, is like when the sun hits that ridge just right.
I didn't realize I needed to know this until I found this video.

I did this myself, and got Neutral leaning Lawful Good... What?!! Well, he tries to be a good person in my eyes, but just has too many Neutral and Chaotic Neutral acts to be one. Hey, at least he tried, and is the man that made the meme.

Tf2 heavy seems like a pretty light hearted and funny alignment idea (I mean light hearted in that most of the hunor regarding the heavy is pretty light compared to spy)
Kronk is clearly lawful good, by the end of the movie and all his side content atleast. He is kinda like Indus from epithet erased in how stupid and loyal he can be, I love him so much XD.

You ever consider doing videos on a character over a single season of a long show? Like season 1 then picking up later after a few other videos at season 2 and so on? I mostly say this cause I'd love to see Sterling Mallory Archer done but I know that's a HUGE time commitment.
He did do that for the Mandalorian, though that was because he did his first analysis when only the first season had come out, and did the second on season 2, so maybe he should make that a bit of a standard so as not to overwork himself.
