    Best install video by far! The view of the system wired outside of the cart with the full explanation of all the wires, what they are for, and where they go is priceless. Thank you! 🍻

    Great video without all the fluff. Ill be installing the same kit on my 2004 club car villager tomorrow and this was helpful. I notice there was no mention of larger battery cable (2g) is it possible to run without that for a bit?

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros
      @PalmettoBatteryPros  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I think you’re fine. Maybe just don’t max it out until you replace the cables. Should be fine either way, can always look for heat build up.

    • @ItsADAMtheBATTERYpro
      @ItsADAMtheBATTERYpro 8 місяців тому

      Your original cables would be fine unless they are starting to fade in color meaning the jacketing on the cable is getting brittle. Def replace if that’s the case. Palmetto battery pros sells the exact length 2awg cables on their website. These guys know their stuff man

    Why does Navitas state the 5kw motor will not fit on a DS? Seems to clear fine.

      you would have to move the rear passenger shock to install the 5K motor into a non-lifted DS.

    Have you noticed a difference in distance per charge? Looking at this kit but we drive ours all over town and don’t want to lose any significant range. 48v lithium.

      @@PalmettoBatteryPros can you link? I don’t see anything referring to range test before and after a 5kw ac conversion. I only see range tests with different battery setups. I am not looking to change battery packs, I have a great lithium pack now. Just looking to find out how much if any range I can expect to lose going to this motor and controller.

    I have a 2010 Club Car DS which is about to get a DC to AC Conversion 5kw 600a Navitas kit. Do you recommend upgrading the solenoid when installing the Navitas kit?

    Great video, and thank you for posting. My question is regarding the main golf cart wiring harness... Does the connector have to be rewired if I'm installing this system to a golf cart other than the club cart? I'm going from a Curtis controller which is also running an 5kw motor currently but I'm concerned that the existing golf cart wiring harness will not fit directly to the navitas controller. Would you be able to provide guidance?

    I have 600A 5K Navitas tac2 ezgo txt with lipo 48V batteries 30A/60A max, 23" tires 6" lift. you mentioned how you like the sound when driving it, I live in very hilly area, when I drive up a hill I get a much louder squeal. I have advanced app, forward speed limiter set to 25, battery discharge limit set to 180. Is that normal for this motor or is there some setting I need to adjust?

    Great video! What amperage is your solenoid? I’ve been told to upgrade at the same time but I have only found 400amp ones.

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros
      @PalmettoBatteryPros  Рік тому

      400a is considered a high output solenoid and perfect for this system.

      You do not. But you would get more performance from the ac conversion with an LFP4 battery. IMPORTANT! Must have 105ah LFP4 battery for navitas controller and BMS compatibility

      @@dap711 What are your thoughts on installing a 600a 5kw ac conversion on a 2010 Club Car DS with a 48v lithium battery. Would you recommend replacing the stock solenoid or not necessary?

    • @dap711
      @dap711 5 місяців тому

      @@chrisginoc Absolutely replace it. A popular choice is the MZJ-400A. You will also want to consider upgrading the wires to 2 AWG, if you plan on pushing the cart hard. Please don't push it more than 4K rpm / 30 MPH.. you won't like what it does to the rear end. This kit can easily push the cart to 9K rpm.

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros
      @PalmettoBatteryPros  Місяць тому

      There isn't much heat generated in the Navitas controllers and Navitas does not recommend adding the lube.
