      If you get our kit we walk people through the install weekly. Most can do this with no problems.

    I love the solid state setup. I have a 1988 Club Car DS and I’m going to change it over to solid state. Thank you for the instructional and educational video on how to change from a resistor cart to a solid state cart! Take care and I’ll see ya on the next one…

    Hi there, great video. This is the closest video I've found to the set up I have, which is an 87 club car 36v. Its got a jake lift kit on it and the batteries are on their last legs, the thing is dog! What can I do to improve performance without spending 5k? Can I just get a 100aH lithium battery and keep all the old system stuff? Any help is appreciated!

      Thanks for watching. The battery will not make any difference in performance, These carts only have a 3-5 hp motors on them and of course were never made to be lifted with bigger tires etc... Even though many do it. We explain that and other things in our latest video about conversion (link below) You can actually convert most for around $2500 more or less to have 2023 performance.Feel free to give us a call about it or for more information. 276.632.8905

    Great video, and thank you for posting. My question is regarding the main golf cart wiring harness... Does the connector have to be rewired if I'm installing this system to a golf cart other than the club cart? I'm going from a Curtis controller which is also running an 5kw motor currently but I'm concerned that the existing golf cart wiring harness will not fit directly to the navitas controller. Would you be able to provide guidance?

    I have a 1990 ezgo marathon 36v electric solid state. Where does the blue key switch input (KSI) wire go on a Navitas 600 amp controller I recently installed a new plum quick cobra and the Navitas 600 amp controller and 1 AWG cables, heavy duty modz solenoid, and the green light is always on at the Navitas TSX controller and I have no light on the (OTF) programmer.

      We're not sure as our systems come prewired in our harness for our conversion kits, We remove all factory wiring when using our kit. I would contact NAVITAS.

    What does a conversion just like this cost to do? If you have new batteries? For everything shown in the video?

    Hello, was wondering why carts using LiFePh batteries don't have a bottom? Does there need to be ventilation for anything in the compartment? Or is it just doing the least amount to change the frame as possible to keep the cost down? for the odd question, I'm new to owning a golf cart.

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  6 місяців тому +1

      It is due to less modifications on the older carts battery compartment. They were set up for all water filled battery systems.

    1st time visiting and today subscribed to your channel. You inspired me to convert my 1999 DS to a solid state system. I purchased a 3 battery 48v Epoch system and the navitas 4KW 600amp conversion kit. Its all going to be here on Monday. I will definitely use your video for reference. With all that being new, I would like to update the resistor throttle system. Do you have a link and model number where I can purchase a new throttle solid state box?

    Where do you hook up the wires for the charging port since you got rid of the old F&R switch???

    We have a 2000 club car ds…motor is the original that I sent to PlumQuick to have them convert it into their “Bandit” model.
    would buying a new controller, wiring harness, and potentiometer allow me to do what you showed in this video? Including ripping out vglide and all?

    So what year did they switch from the vglide to the mcor style potentiometer? My 03 has an mcor and a curtis 1204 controller. Was mine converted at one time? Mine is a 48 volt DS.

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  Рік тому +1

      Pretty Sure that's all factory with the Mcor and that 1204 Curtis controller. A lot of people are now changing over to the AC drive due to being more efficient on the battery life. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    I have a Stealth, which is built off of Club Car. Its a 2009 but I want to rip all of the wiring out and start over, since it as some issues and needs new batteries anyway. I dont want to spend 1500 on batteries to have other issues. Id rather do it right and upgrade everything. I dont have Resistor Coils, It appears this kit would work for me, i just may not need the new motor, since mine will most likely work with the Navitas controller. Anyone else have a Stealth?

  • @tgrz704

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  Рік тому +1

      You can if you go with a series controller but won't see any better performance.

      I lifted a 36 v cart . The batteries are less than two years old. I didn’t realize I should not have lifted it until it was too late. Do I need to buy a drawer? That OK for 36 V?
