Kicking old derailleur was not funny mate. Some people still use old NX 😅

I am really fed up hearing what a gamechanger removing the derraileur hanger is, when the derraileur hanger was introduced to FIX A PROBLEM of older bikes which DID NOT HAVE A HANGER.
Now everyone is talking about the "modern improvement". Give me a break guys.

You need a UDH compatible frame. So frames produced over the last year or so are most likely compatible. Many older frames are not....

12:11 But regular rear derailleur will move in too, but I am still concerned.

This is true. We’ve not managed to break one yet.

Still have no idea how this actually attachs to the bike. Does it use the udh or not?? If not surely there must be some bikes that it just can't work on just due to a non conventional design.

It does away with the UDH entirely so no hanger but that does mean the frame has to have been UDH compatible to take this new AXS mech so not for older non UDH bikes

@@BRINKUK watched a video of semi sendy who was sent a review unit also and showed the fitment and comparison to the old Axs, makes sense now. Still reckon it could cause a few rear triangle damages since there is no breakaway element now.

    How long does batt last?

Depends on use, but think weeks rather than hours.

and if you break your derailleur, you risk damaging the frame, or where is the safety?

    • @SubversionGarage
      @SubversionGarage Рік тому

The mech wraps around the dropout and is further supported by the axle. You would snap the mech long before the frame

I really hope every posh who buy this "transmission", in a crash escenario, ends with a cracked chainstay (let's say $1.000 cost) and has to replace "some" part of the flashy derailleur (let's say $100) instead of changing the rear mech hanger ($10 or so)

There will be stock out there somewhere. It’s still a great setup.

  • @sebastianklorekvideomakerp7178

I have a Santa Cruz tallboy 2023 with a gx lunar derailleur. I installed sram x0. Everything according to the manual, 116 chain, swich b, crank 32, chain line consistent. It works worse, slower and also rattles loudly in hard gears. I made all possible micro-adjustments ( 1-14 (3) ) and then both on the hanger and when riding on the sag it works badly. I expected more precision and I am not satisfied with the work of this drive. The previous drive, both cable and axs xx1 and axs gx, worked much better and faster.

Interesting. We’ve not had an issue across a bunch of bikes so far. We’ll try and document it if we do see any.

Have you found a solution? Just ordered transmission and hoping to not have this issue.
