One of the Greatest publicly unknown guitarists on the planet!!!!!!
Not a bad singer either.
how he remains largely unknown baffles and frustrates me. one of the greatest performers I've ever seen.
Tim Ballard he has been called 'one of rocks best kept secrets' the statement is as true as it gets!
Tim Ballard it's because rock is an old thing
He breathes and lives the blues yet jerk off bedroom players brush him aside and claim he’s just a copy cat of srv and Jimi
Sayce is one of the baddest blues men on this planet ranks higher than Mayer gales and shepherd in my book
It doesn't matter how good someone is at the blues, the blues just isn't coming back like it did in the 90s/early 2000s. He's fucking amazing, but he needs to do something different. His voice and playing are exceptional, but honestly his music is not going to be captured by most audiences other than people who really dig blues.
Jerk off bedroom players have no affect on his career. Wether you like it or not, he is indeed an SRV clone= Same tone, same licks, he even makes the same faces for christs sake. There's nothing wrong with loving SRV and wanting to play just like him. I think its awesome, and he does it really well. But its not a career anymore. Even guys like Kenny Wayne Shepard who made a career out of being an SRV clone have at least tried to move on and develop their own voice. Phil is great, but at the end of the day, there are thousands of guys out there that can play the SRV bag to a tee. Its just not a rare skill anymore.
Only discovered this guy today 15 Dec 2024 . I never in my wildest dreams thought there would ever be another SRV. Well thank the lord there is!!!!
I’ve known of him for a few years. It’s mind boggling to me he isn’t more well known. Like way more well known!
Whenever I feel burnt out on practicing I always watch this now. Just makes me remember the grind is worth it
Tru dat!!!
What a performer! What a guitarist. How did I just find out about this guy in 2023 I will definitely be looking out for him in Colorado hopefully
He plays with a passion and intensity that players with maybe more technical ability can't come close too. Love it
Sayce is probably the most powerful player I've ever seen in my life. You have to be there with him to really feel the power! It's an amazing experience.
I'd have to add Chris Duarte to that.
Nobody experiences anything anymore. They just film it so they can make it about them. Hey everyone, look where I am right now. God I hate our culture.
He's got some terrifying chops for sure
Add Randy Hansen there too, his presence is insane
if you havent seen philip actually live in person you need to do yourself a favor and do it. the power of his performances cant be captured by video. its truly unreal being there live.
Absolutely. I saw him last year, he left the stage and walked out into the middle of the crowd mid solo without missing a beat. Best energy of any bluesman I've seen live
What a man.I saw him for the first time two days ago..walking with his guitar on the shouldrer...in Cittanova blues festival..and I wave him ...he turn back...❤
TOP guitarist and singer, big performance!
The guys just bonkers good😂. Like many others here only recently heard of him.
Fellow Canadian here and you're the best blues guitarist going!
Man when he’s on HE IS ON! Love those scary moments when he just lets go.
WOW! I just find this great guitar player today! Stratocaster blues still alive!
I am getting pretty obsessed with this guy, can’t wait to see him live when he visits the UK soon
Comunque ci mette l' anima.
...e che anima !!!
He sings plays like a Texan and an English musician..!!! with deep and profound feeling...FIRE!!! 👍👍👍
Holy Sh*t being a blues musician myself I love this !👍
it was great to be there!
SALT IN MAH COFFEE! BLACK PEPPER IN MAH BEER! huge fan Philip. I absolutely love your music
DAYUM! I just discovered this guy. He's definitely something!!!
2:00 That freaking tension and release...
What about 2:46?
WTF of a performance!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn! Dat tone! His Soul! He's from another dimension
F**king fantastic old school awesomeness, everything I love about guitar in one video 🔥🔥🎸
I can’t understand how I’m just finding this guy. How have the algorithm Gods not placed him in any of my feeds or stations!?? Is this a conspiracy?? 😁
A nephew told me about Philip
some years back but I didn't check him out. My loss. He's a sensational guitarist. His guesting with Jeff Healey in 2000 was mind-blowing. The SRV influence is clear, but that's no bad thing.
A new star born
Monster player! That guitar sounds huge!
He’s gotta be the best strat player on the planet.
this is the correct opinion.
I literally am in love with this guy's music already and I just discovered him today
Same
Just discovered this Master of blues. Why haven't I heard of this guy before ! Awesome
Una presicision total una fuerza tremendo guitarrero 😊
Holy moly, this dude is great. I've just discovered him. Finally someone to fill Stevie Ray's shoes!
Absolutely wonderful performance!Spread them old school SRV vibes bro
miss going to shows even more now
This guy is the best guitar player and singer around. Joe Bonamassa doesn't have it
Matt G I’ve always said that Phillip is what joe would be if he listened to Hendrix and SRV instead of BB and Clapton.
Yea this guy is a legend il never forget that show I saw last week
Would love to see Philip play over here in the UK
That tone... particularly after about 2:00, absolutely beautiful.
Glowing tubes on 11. Nothing like a Strat on fire!!
This is the best sound Philip have ever had, please continue like this!
I'm in awe I love the blues I never knew of Philip .I can say I'll never forget him now I'll b listening to all his music
Philip has the sound of a steam train going 100 miles an hour downheel. You are A BEAST man.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was 100% looking down on this, and loving every second of it. From 1:50 on, you could have fooled me into thinking he was the one playing (except for the few shred sections here and there, and the signature Sayce bends), and that is a pretty huge compliment no matter who it's coming from!
Thank you So So Much,Mr Sayce, from the bottom of my heart, to keep the Blue Muzick so Alive....!!!!!!!
The King Sayce!!!
I am just now discovering Sayce after seeing a video comparing him to SRV.. The man is a badass !
Those toms sounds killer
How have I not heard of this guy until now! WOW
I’m asking myself that question, 5 years after you wrote it!!!!!
Just discovered him.. I've got a lot of catching up to do!!
This is insane!
what a damn good guitarist.!
Yup, my guitar is gonna make a fine lamp.
Lol!
Mine to 😟 but then again I can pretend I'm getting better 😁🎸🇬🇧🇺🇲 a beer helps.👍
this guy is fantastic
Got to be one of the best of our time. Should be a household name.
1.32 . what is the name (that techic)??
I just found out about Phillip, mind blowing.
awesome, hug fan here, since peace machine days
Why is he not out there?
This guy can play better the alot of them.
can't get enough
Excellent!
Very big motivator! Try every day to play like Mr.Sayce!
As good as I've heard I love this
Reminds me of SRV , excellent job man👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Simply a freakin beast!!!....and you can see his Jimi and SRV influences bleeding through his soul!
Bom pra Karalhoooo!!!! Grande Phillip Sayce!!!
Wow he’s the baddest blues guitarist on the planet. 🔥🔥
@@toddkreuzburg4162 “on the planet” as in still alive and breathing… Stevie passed :-(
Anyway, I’m being a bit hyperbolic anyway. I agree with what you said about SRV, btw… man is a legend.
Holy sh*t.
Amazing.
Philip is on fire can't beat it, live music the best any time. W Percival.
Can’t believe I just heard of this guy. Straight savage on that strat.
Top Monsieur Philip Sayce :)
As good as this guy is i think he's come along to late to make it as big as he deserves because of what the music industry has become, which is basically non existent and the young generation that have no clue about good music, i know the older generation will back him because they know the difference between good music and garbage music but im afraid that might not be enough to propel him where he deserves to be, this guy is pronominal and should be at the top.
Great performance and great video edit!
This gentleman is astounding, astonishing...I love aggressive playing.💪🇺🇲🇬🇧🎸
Bro, you are off the chain. I love your playing you’re such a talented musician I wish one day I can meet you.
great!
Now that's how you play a strat, amazing tone and phrasing, just blues perfection.
Why hadn't I heard of Phil before??? What a beast!
Good God have mercy!!! The intensity of SRV. Technically and audibly better than Jimi
OH Man! Right fucking on! Craig Thomas introduced me...Craig is a gift!
when a talent have influence like Stevie, there are solid ground to success, when talent also have as fierce soul on performances... this is great, so enjoyable and like in Stevies case, you have also very good band. wish you guys all the best. Greetings from Finland.
I stumbled across Philip tonight in my YT feed. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of him. He’s incredible. *Liked and subbed - **Sharing with everyone I know.
Ein super Song , ganz lieben Dank dafür, wow ...
Absolutely amazing guitar player.
Awesome tone, tasty phrasing and downright violent level of confidence, great!
The voice of Joe bonnamossa and the guitar tone and playing and feel of srv not to mention the intensity
amazing amazing amazing amazing... i cant stop listening to this :D thank u philip!
I'm happy to see so many today's guitarists is influenced by SRV in their guitar playing, keep blues live forever..!!
Yep OK I will get this album :)
Love the close-ups during that killer solo & the drums from above. AWESOME everything x
Good Golly Miss Molly ! , This dudes got it going on, Sure hope someone gives him a big enough stage to show all his killer chops and soulful voice.
Just an incredible guitar player I would put him in the same league as Stevie Ray
Just discovered this. Got a comb anyone? My hair is still blown away! He makes me think of Kenny Wayne in many ways...
que zarpado lo que toque este chabon
Excellent playing and power from all the band.
