Little known fact: you always hear a constant guitar amp hum whenever Josh Homme is in the room, regardles of whether there's an actual guitar amp or not.
Absolutely in love with this album!!! Josh Homme just has my number I swear. Great to hear his insights and the creative process! Where would rock music be without Josh? I don't even wanna picture that world
Regarding Crusifire song "Mike Kerr and I (Joshua) were raised very religiously. We have that in common." Never in a million years, did I think Josh would openly admit it.

i would love to spend thirty seconds in his head…..i say only thirty seconds because i don’t think i could handle anymore than that! he’s an incredible human
there is actually a live TCV performance in Germany where Josh in between songs goes something like “meine Schmutzi” just to fool around with the audience, but he does it with a Töôrnst kinda character of voice so close to the song that it is hard for me not to consider him to be it
Cool to hear Josh talk about Mikes voice on the Crucifire track, I instantly loved it but though it was a deep voiced girl that tracked it... But my research of who actually sang, gave me Royal Blood to listen to! 1+1=2😍
I guess I should admit I, as well as others, have put Josh in a somewhat negative light at first because of the negative connotations people have put on him as being an arrogant Rock-star. But it’s all bullshit. He’s in tune with things, you can tell. Pretty focused, yet he’s a free-minded kind of guy. I mean, this project proves that in general. To get big names together for years in this way is pretty incredible. The album is short but multi-faceted. Cool stuff.
I’ve followed his career very closely since the Kyuss days and what people said about him was largely correct for a time. In the mid 2000s he contracted a staff infection that very nearly killed him. He is the first to admit that this experience changed his life completely and since then is a much more humble human being.
Years and years ago I thought that that idea of taking a song and injecting two other songs into it was such a dangerous waste of three songs. But I've, within the last few years, realized that when done correctly, it can have such crazy, unexpected payoffs.
Never in a million years, such a dangerous waste is almost completely devoted to get inspiration from the desert, I think Josh would openly admit it.💙This whole trippy ride, within the last few years, was perfection💙!One of the most articulate , i can totally relate 💙and bring a sound engineer next time.
I have to giggle a bit when I watch this talk through its just the words and the meaning that he tries to emphazise they almost sound funny but extremly creative to me :D
He plays bass on the first three songs (on Noses in Roses, he plays most of the bass but I think during the middle section where the song changes Josh is playing bass). It's really good bass tracks. It's not classic Claypool, but it doesn't need to be. (this last part isn't directed at you btw, it's just a rant) Virtuosos don't need to be constantly buttfucking their instruments for their talent to be respected. It blows me that people think Josh is wasting the talent of Jon Theodore in QotSA because he doesn't have him playing batshit Mars Volta stuff. He adds a certain nuance to the simple parts. And Les' performance on those songs does the same thing. It'd be different if anyone else played it, but also anyone else could play it.
Josh, don't forget to add me tumble drier to the credits on 'if you run'. it ran poifektly to the track. i think the zip on me cagoule did it! love ya! x
I really have no idea, obviously, if he is high or just too sober 😉 I’ve watched a decent amount of his interviews that made me come to that assumption & I apparently felt like commenting. I love getting high when the vibes are right & do not judge anyone for anything. Josh is a god of creativity & again can do no wrong. Even the whole the foot camera face incident...touring isn’t easy, I imagine...he let some of his human vulnerable side emerge & that is okay.
I can't wait for a time when you can freely say 'doing drugs' instead of 'too much to drink'....without fear of being raided or having a glove pushed into your butt....I'm not saying they were doing any or that no one was drunk, just that if they were, they might be able to say 'yeah x had a bag of mushrooms from a year ago and we didn't think they'd work so we ate them all and then.....'
One of the most articulate men though can be long-winded and boring. The recent "Desert Sessions" release is interesting because it seems to be the worst yet of the series but could be a grower. Good to see it back in action and it would be nice if Homme could come up with a new one soon. Having one with Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Iggy Pop and John Paul Jones should be interesting to say the least.

“I can’t go. I have to... stay... as hard as I can.” This dude is a fucking genius

Damn, Josh, thank you.

Really need to see an album with queens and royal blood! Crucifire is amazing and i want more!
The noise is actually louder than his voice.
HurrAY 4 WHITE NOISE LOL
Joshua. You are the LEGEND. You are one of the few professional musicians nowadays. Thank you for everything!
Josh is damn elegant in his words. Brilliant artist.
This is one of the most enjoyable record releases in years! Thank you for this interview!
He is a great amazing artist, like all his projects are fantastic
"Move Together" and "If You Run" are my favorite tracks. Beatiful album.
I love easier said than done and crucifire the most

such a great idea to get inspiration from the desert, i love the desert, i can totally relate 💙

Oh to be a fly on the wall in the desert sessions.

Josh is listed as vocalist. Not sure if that means anything.
yea there’s a pitched-down version of the song on youtube and it sounds just like josh doing an accent😂

There is only one version that is this human. 11/12 is as rock and roll as 1/2. Beautiful music played by fantastic minds.
"Not me, .. you" haha, I love this man.
I just came here for the background story of Chic Tweetz. Not disappointed at all. :-D
Josh Homme is an improved god.
The story behind Chic Tweetz is fucking hilarious
"Something You Can't See" is my go to on this one.
this interview is almost longest than the record.
The new King of rock n roll
Has been for a while if you ask me
