I love this song but I hate it at the same time. I wish I could look back at my relationship with my father and have remorse and accept some responsibility for our non-existent relationship but I can't. Some men look back and thank there father for helping make them what they are. My father helped make me what I am...a mentally ill lonely adult who has a difficult time maintaining emotional relationships with anyone. I love this song but it reminds me I succeeded as much as I did inspite of my father's "parenting" not because of it.
My father use to beat me Up and my sister...starving empty fridge..we get blame for everything by his wife and his girl bcause they know we gonna get hit when m'y father coming back home...she was laughing out loud with her daughter when we get this treatment...my father is je ne a dentist and he own a strip club...his marriage was arrenged by her father bcause he knew that his daughter ( my father wife for 30 years) was a cocaïne addict and a barmaid....i dont like that personality...there hypocrite...im 37 now never had a relationship with my dad...he calls today...i didnt answer cause i still got the ghost bump...the agressive ess...the voice tone....i still getting weird inside...for his parts we are the problem...he got nothing to regret...my biggest love sorrow is my dad...
Their new album isn't THAT bad, it isn't amazing by any means but I think its one of the better ones from all the 90's bands outings in the past 2 years, rhcp's new album was just ok...Bush's new album is meh, Smashing Pumpkins new stuff is alright, and the new'ish foo fighters album was great!
DawgPoundBrutus Considering you clearly know nothing about singing live vs singing in a studio, he's not missing notes, he's singing them an octave down usually. Not to mention any that he does Miss are because they're extremely hard to consistently hit when they're that high

It's June 29, 2020. Yesterday was 15 years since my father died. This song started to mean something completely different to me that day.
