Universal's Waterworld UHD Blu Ray is a real test, the different shades of blue along with facial tones and various shots with differing time of day in the same scene are a real test for any projector. It's cheap on Ebay.
I got the capsule for $600 to try before dropping $$ for a 4k. It is so good I cant imagine how good the Cosmos 4k is. The tech is very good, bluetooth good, just WOW.
I've been using the Capsule 3 laser for about 1yr now. It's great for what it is (portable). The main thing I dont like is the software. The app store prohibits users from installing certain screen mirroring software such as Samsung's SmartView app. I haven't tried side loading the app yet. Also, every time I click a button on the remote or device touch pad it "wakes" the sensors to respond to whatever is pressed next. This is EXTREMELY annoying. At the same time, sometimes there's a 4 or 5 second delay before the action occurs. So the user experience interacting with menus and navigating apps is terrible. I also seem to have constant issues streaming video from my phone over my private LAN despite not seeing any wireless interference nearby. I'll be keeping my little projector because I still like using it, I just need to figure out how to load some better software on it.
You can watch on the white wall ? Mostly, there is always recommended to buy a special screen to watch movies for video projector. You don't do the same, and watch directly on your white wall. May be short focal projector need for the screen? What do you recommend, front projector or sort focal projector near the wall ?
About my personal experience, I bought a Xiaomi projector 2 pro international projector 2 years ago. The playback on white walls works perfect, I don't feel the need to purchase a backdrop for playback (unless you don't have a flat wall for playback), that's regarding your first point. On the second concern, if it is better a projector at a distance or close, here is purely a matter of budget since the distance ones tend to be more economical than the projectors that display the image attached to the wall, now if it is more comfortable one wall, when I meet with friends at the moment is somewhat uncomfortable to see the shadow of people moving from one place to another, it's just a detail. Extra consideration for the lumens of the projector, the one I currently have has 1300 but during the day you can not see tototalmente sharp, I understand you need more power to view content without problems during the day, with the power I currently have during the night looks spectacular! I hope my comment is helpful
These are clearly DLP projectors and not Laser. Also if you don't absolutely need a portable projector you can find much much better standard projectors.

@5:28 You actually mentioned Netflix - is it natively supported on this? Android TV on projectors tends to not allow it in a lot of instances (like on XGimi, for instance) so quite curious about this!
I would like to know this too. As you said yourself, main thing making this projector appalling is size and convince. Been able to use proper Netflix (without need for nebula app and mouse support) is important part of it. I am supprised you didn't elaborate on it more in video.
@@Deltido Unfortunately not - you just get a "this device is not supported" error if you do, which is why I'm interested that Andrew actually mentioned Netflix specifically, as it's unusual for it to be supported natively on ATV projectors. Hoping he'll answer!
@Deltido You can install mobile version using nebula manager app. However that version of Netflix require mouse/touch input. This means you can not navigate using remote and you need to use nebula app. Not sure if there any other limitation. If I am going to shell out 900 for this pleasure then everything needs to be super convenient. Not having official Netflix android TV version on it is big minus and all reviewers so far are avoiding to mention it.
What I don’t like about project is that you can’t play apple movies which I bought them from iTunes due to apple restrictions. Any way thanks for this nice work .
Cool video. Here is a technically challenge question. Would this work in a room in my house that doesn’t connect to our internet.? This room is just too far away and doesn’t connect to our internet even with multiple internet extensions. Best regards 😊

this is the disappointment of the year. ALMOST PERFECT. all I had to do was leave this projector horizontal. so that it can be directed at any angle and at the ceiling. just rubber rings on both ends. would be the perfect projector. I sob with regret. vertical is no good.

Wifi repeater at the point where it almost looses signal. Then connect to wifi repeater in that room. Hope this helps
