I really think mister freeze deserves a good adaptation on the big screen, his character has such depth and interesting elements that I feel like he just deserves having more than just ice puns
@Alternate Account I definitely agree with you. Mr Freeze is a villain that has an incredibly interesting and thriving origin that ever so graciously appeared in the Animated Series. Even though that origin and incredible character was brutally tainted in Batman and Robin, I still respect that film for using the emphathetic nature of the character (though it was extremely poorly done). Aside from films, Mr Freeze has been given appropriate and well deserved treatment before, such as his animated film titled Batman: Subzero, and the Arkham Games which gave him a good character arc from fighting Batman for the safety of hiss wife Nora, to eventually allying himself with Batman and reuniting with his wife for as long time as he has left with her. Though otherr media has presented the character and story Mr Freeze very well before, they are still are unable to pass the recognition that Batman and Robin's Mr Freeze has for making the character a cheezy, pun cracking joke.
So I desperately hope to see a well-done portrayal of Mr Freeze in a Batman movie some day. Perhaps we could see him in the Matt Reeves Batman future trilogy. Though the universe does appear to be grounded at first, I think Matt Reeves trilogy will focus on how Gotham is beginning to evolve to now housing freaks and lunatics instead of low-tier crime and organised crime, which can lead to more fantastical characters appearing like Freeze in a cohesive and narratively pleasing way. There is also set photos for The Batman 2022 which reveals that the company that Victor Fries (Mr Freeze) worked for and also turned him into Mr Freeze, exists in this universe which could eventually bring Mr Freeze into a sequel for the Batman 2022. Not to mention the fact that Todd Phillips (director of Joker 2019) also reportedly pitched an idea for a Mr Freeze solo movie with the same sympathetic and dark tones of Joker (2019). What ever the case I just hope Mr Freeze is given the love an opportunity to shine in a film once again, only this time......

@@milkiassamuel780 honestly my number 1 pick for the next villain we see in the batman trilogy is mister freeze, I think done in an interesting way it could be so compelling and visually interesting, hes such a sympathetic character and that works so well in the universe
@@alternateaccount3898 Absolutely, I think audience's should remember him as he was in the animated series and not as Arnold's interpretation. I also believe that someone like Michael Fassbender or Ralph Fiennes would be great choices for Mr Freeze as they both have incredible acting capabilities and can really understand and portray emotive performances, which the character of Mr Freeze deserves.
He is probably one of the most sympathetic villains out there

NATALIE DORMER as poison ivy! She has that look for poison ivy and has that sinister smile perfect for poison ivy. She played Margery tyrell in game of thrones.
Poison Ivy - Katharine Isabelle. Redhead, with a horror movie background and plenty of experience at playing messed up characters.
Harley Quinn - Samara Weaving. Apart from her being great at horror and comedy, the age difference between her and Defoe's Joker would add a lot to their relationship.

Ya know with the right direction I think Jim Carrie could still kill it as riddler.
I agree completely but it requires the right tone and script. It needs to be like the comics in tone (dark in some places but lighthearted in others.) I think if you take a more subtle version of his obsessive personality from Number 23 and mix it with his quirkiness and inability to accept his past from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind you would have great potential for an unbelievable performance.

Edit: I respect Jared Leto's attempt at playing the joker, but it just wasn't it for me.
But I still wanna see the performance Jared Leto actually filmed. Since apparently it was barely represented and therefore misrepresented in the versions of Suicide Squad which currently exist. #ReleaseTheAyerCut
Personally, there were small details and elements of Leto’s Joker that I liked, but all the major components of his take and interpretation that are important to the role were just bad
I felt so sorry for Jared Leto, you can see that he was trying his best and it was an interesting interpretation all be it a bad interpretation of the character (but still interesting to some extent.)
If they were smart, they would've kept the Joker out of that story and waited for a sequel to introduce them as 98% of the hype for suicide squad came from having the joker in the film which took everything away from the other characters

I don't even have a good comparison for that - that's how overdone comments that speak of his casting as the Joker are. Quit acting like you're some oddball. This whole kaboom surrounding Dafoe as the Joker started because someone photoshoped some photos of him into Arkham Game's Joker and then they went viral and now everyone says he'd be the perfect Joker. He's not going to be the Joker. He's too old, and he already played a crazy supervillain with a maniacal laugh.

I don’t understand the whole “they don’t look like the character” idea, in today’s day and age anyone can look like anyone, I could see the choice for Ras being able to bulk up, and facial hair can really change how someone comes off as well, especially with as much hairspray as it would take to get that beard to work😂

I must say I love Deathstroke and especially how he was portrayed in the arrow tv show, so I would really love to see the character recast to fit a Batman story.

First time I saw Willem Dafoe, I immediately thought of the Joker. He really looks like the classical comic book Joker.
Dude, Jim Parsons as Riddler! He's obviously convincing at playing a genius mind in "The Big Bang Theory." In "Hollywood" we saw him play unsettling and subtly dangerous very well, and he has the right look. Parsons himself even admitted on record that he always wanted to play the Riddler. Come on, man, I guarantee there's no better choice.
I know he played Joker in Gotham, but Cameron Monaghan would make a great Riddler, he’s older now but still could have that playful energy Riddler has, and he can play over the top and extra pretty well (also he’s ginger)

I'm surprised you don't think Willem Dafoe' Joker would go well alongside Pattinson's Batman. Their chemistry was palpable in The Lighthouse. I think they would serve the Batman/Joker dynamic absolutely wonderfully.

100% agree with Willem Dafoe as Joker but I actually want to see him as Two-Face even more. So to play opposite Pattinson's Batman I would go with Ezra Miller. He brings the psychotic nature of Joker but will give him depth and dimension, like Heath and Joaquin did. For Black Mask I think someone similar to Ewan but taller and more brooding, someone like Aussie actor Eric Banna. He could really explode on screen with that character. With Ra's al Ghul no-one comes to mind to me like Daniel Day-Lewis, he would utterly embody that character and overshadow everyone else's performances. Kids would leave the theaters scared of a new boogeyman, Ra's Al Ghul.

Personally love JR Bourne as Ra's but this rescast is amazing.
I thought I hadn't seen him in anything but according to IMDB he was in 1 episode of Arrow, Smallville, couple CSI shows, and Cold Case.
It also says he was in Ginger Snaps Back and I've watched those so must've seen him but I don't remember him.
I thought Alexander Siddig was the perfect Ra's al Ghul in Gotham, but he was tragically under-utilized and killed off too soon.

Jared Leto was actually a great casting choice for the Joker imo. The problem was the fact that the script he was working with went through so many cuts and rewrites that it felt disjointed. It wasn't Leto's fault.
Bill Skarsgard as Joker. Not the most aged but definitely someone who can portray The Clown Prince of Crime. Purple tux and all, goofy/dramatic to serious and scary.
Willem Dafoe remains dreamcast though.

Hey Bryan I really like your UA-cam videos. If you’re making another video of recasting Batman villains I can give some advice about Bane. A wwe wrestler would be great for the role as long as he has that aggression and ready for action. It should also be interesting that you should cast a South American actor for the role since bane is South American what should be interesting is that instead of picking 2 actors with one doing the physicality and another voicing the character pick an actor who can do both requirements at the same. Thanks mate I hope you make some more dc recasting videos. I’m just giving advice to help you find someone to play bane. You and super frame are better at casting than anyone else
Willem Defoe would've made a great Joker for Ben Affleck's Batman Universe.
The Joker has not any physical strength. He just wants to cause chaos and uses his brain to make a plan and then his goons to do it. With that being said , no matter Dafoe's old age , he could still be a great Joker.

100% Agree with you my man! I think Tom Bateman should be the Joker in the Matt Reeves Batman future trilogy. When I saw him in Cold Pursuit (2019) and in Jekyll and Hyde (2015) and how incredible his performance and talent was at playing a sadistic and intimidating foe, I immediately knew he was perfect to play thr Joker in the upcoming trilogy and I can see him playing a Joker who is more obsessed with Batman and embraces the toxic relationship he has with him, almost like an unrelenting love he has for Batman, very similar to the Telltale Game's version of the Joker. At least that is how I would envision the character to bee reintroduced and recasted. Great choice brother! 👍

Since you're working off established story arcs (neat concept!), "Batman: Hush" could be one that could work in tandem with an Under the Red Hood movie, with a cavalcade of villains. You could do Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Killer Croc, Clayface, Catwoman, and Hush himself.

How come Jim Carrey hasn't played the Joker yet? I think he would nail that role.
What about Benicio Del Toro as Black Mask? He can do blind rage well and can also portray eery calm.
I've always thought that Chris Pine would make a great joker. If you have watched bad bosses 2 and heard his laugh it would seriously make for a good clown prince of crime
I always saw Jimmy Smits as Ra's al Ghul. Great actor and at just over six feet tall, imposing as heck IMO.
Willem Dafoe absolutely needs to be Joker, he has always been my number 1 choice though he'd have to be against an older Batman.
I actually liked Birds of Prey it wasn't the best movie ever but it was entertaining, but I didn't like how they made him way too eccentric and flamboyant. Michael Shannon sounds amazing though.
I'm not familiar with your pick for Ras I'd have to look him up to see if I've seen him anything, but I do agree a comic accurate Arabic guy would be great.
As for new villains? We got to have Man Bat and Clayface brought into live action we haven't seen them yet but they're awesome. But honestly Batman and Spider-Man both have the greatest Villains ever so you could pick anyone and chances are they'd be amazing.
(P.S how cool would it be to get a movie like Joker but for Mr. Freeze? His origin would make for an amazing movie)
